Think Outside the Bucks
There have been a lot of preachings and seminars on wealth management, personal finance, and wealth building. The explosion of new investments have created financial freedom for some yet the promise of financial peace (shalom) seems elusive as the world continues to demand more.In this series, we hope to see people move from chasing the elusive financial freedom and choose the path of financial peace that can only be found in a right perspective of how Jesus wants us to view wealth.
Is financial freedom the end goal of people? Jesus showed us that there is more to life than financial freedom.

"What does it take for spiritual renewal to happen in our nation?"
After the wall was rebuilt, Nehemiah gathered the people to hear God’s Word and led the people of Israel to rededicate their lives to God. This time, instead of just being by himself interceding on behalf of the whole nation, he is now joined by the exiles who returned.
God desires to bring spiritual renewal by humbling ourselves and walking in the light of His Word. Just as the Israelite nation experienced change, our nation can experience true and lasting change through discipleship. -
"What is our role as Christians in the face of injustices in society?"
As Nehemiah continues to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, he soon realizes that the wall was not the only one that needs rebuilding. He witnesses the oppression of the poor under the hands of his own countrymen. He calls them out and rebukes them in the fear of the Lord and admonishes them to repent and return whatever it is that they have taken from their poor countrymen. -
"Sa kabila ng mga oposisyon na nararanasan natin sa pag-unlad ng ating bansa, paano ba dapat lumaban bilang isang Kristyano?"
Nehemiah experienced problems internally and externally. But he maintained his integrity and persevered in doing the work.
The path towards national transformation is filled with hardships, insurmountable oppositions, injustices, and corruption. We are to persevere in pursuing God’s plan for our nation and not compromise our integrity despite the difficulties and discouragements. Our confidence comes from the truth that our God is in full control. -
"How does God move through His people to provide?"
God showed how His providence works through the works of His people led by Nehemiah.
We can wait on God for the different open doors and don't act on it but the truth is we need
to be doing both.
Here we see that we are called to act as we listen, pray and must remember that ultimately
it is God who will open doors and lead us to opportunities. And through this we see how
God restores and rebuilds ruined lives. -
"What does a transformed nation look like and how do we get there?"
National transformation requires a God-sized vision and it will take every one of us to take responsibility and participate in the calling that God has for us as His people. -
“We tend to use prayer as a last resort, but God wants it to be our first line of defense. We pray when there's nothing else we can do, but God wants us to pray before we do anything at all." - Oswald Chambers
What if there's more to prayer than what we know of? Join us as we discover the role of prayer in nation building!
The first step towards national transformation is to remember the covenant of God that would lead us to pray, return to Him, and repent of our ways. God’s method of transforming nations starts in the heart of every person. National transformation is a result of genuine spiritual transformation and it begins with personal transformation
