A special, on the road edition of the A Fatherâs Heart podcast. This chapter features Savannah singing her song âCurtain Callâ live!
Donât forget that Pirates Cove Restaurant & Dock Bar in Galesville will host a special event to support Savannah and the rest of my family on Saturday, July 28th, from 2 to 6 pm.
The event will feature an open jam and musical collaboration with local musicians. It will benefit our family as we provide mental health care for Savannah.
Mental illness places an emotional and financial toll on both the individual and their loved ones. Savannah wasaAn honor roll student, world-class musician, actress, and well-loved kid with a beautiful smile and laughing eyes, who now requires long-term treatment.
I have so many blessings and so many friends, and I am glad that this is happening to support my daughter in her battle against mental illness, and hopefully to raise awareness of the struggle that so [...]

Here is a link to information about the benefit at Pirates Cove coming up next week.
Thanks for listening and staying with me in the days to come.

So, weâre back. Yeah, itâs been awhile. But I was travelling and then I got sick and then, quite honestly, I began to question why I was even doing this. Then the answer finally came ⊠because it is what I do. A very, very old song here and I promise that Iâll be more reliable in the future. Thanks for listening. The book âA Fatherâs Heartâ is available everywhere, including Amazon. Thanks for being patient and thanks for listening. Please feel free to comment and leave a review (hopefully 5 stars) wherever you listen!

A different kind of Fatherâs Heart podcastâŠ
Not a story from one of my books or blogs, but one I wrote today pretty much as I recorded it. It is dedicated to my brother Kenny, who is going through hard times. The song is Bruce Sprigsteenâs âNo Surrenderâ, which is pretty much how it was for Kenny and me. I usually use my own songs, but this one told our story perfectly. None of my talented producers were around, and the whole thing is one take. Rough, raw and honest. But so is the story, about the foolishness of letting politics tear apart friends and family. My book âA Fatherâs Heartâ is available

This edition of the A Fatherâs Heart podcast features my song, âGrandmaâs Placeâ and a story about eating crabs on a hot Maryland day. Hope you enjoy it! Remember that the âA Fatherâs Heartâ book is available at Amazon and other booksellers. Also, make sure to grab a copy of my latest single, âNaptown Saturday Nightâ. Itâs available eveywhere!

A holiday look back at the Christmas garden we had at home every year when I was a kid. It was a thing of beauty, although I may be the only one who thought so. The âcast features the song Christmas in Copenhagen, 1996, which I proudly refer to as the âmost depressing Christmas song everâ. Donât forget that the book, A Fatherâs Heart, is available where ever books can be found on the interwebs these days, including Amazon.
And as I mentioned in the podcast, please go and buy a copy of âNaptown Saturday Nightâ, my latest single. It is a lot of fun, and proceeds will go to support the work of AMFM, a group that helps musicians out with medical expenses. Most musicians do not have insurance, so itâs importan [...]

Todayâs story and song are both a nod to my Norwegian friends. I love getting to Norway to play my songs and tell my stories, and my listeners there are some of my most loyal. Itâs still too cold, but it is beautiful! Donât forget to check out www.weaverwrites.com for the latest on what I am up to, and get yourself several copies of the âA Fatherâs Heartâ book. It makes a lovely holiday gift!

This week, a Fatherâs Heart goes home. Hope you enjoy them. Donât forget to get your copies (note the plural!) of the book version of âA Fatherâs Heartâ. And check out my website at www.weaverwrites.com to see whatâs cookinâ. Big doinâs on the way!

Another Danish story. This one features me attempting to speak and yes, sing, in Danish. Itâs actually me attempting to say âI love youâ in Danish and I like to tell myself that part of the charm is that Iâm so terrible at it! Be forewarned, the story contains a âNSFWâ word that is important to the tale. I hope you enjoy it. Remember, the book âA Fatherâs Heartâ is available at Amazon and other online booksellers. And my website is at www.weaverwrites.com.

This is the story and song about how the whole A Fatherâs Heart idea came about. I probably should have started with this one. The song here, âConfessionâ, remains one of my favorites that I have written. Hope you enjoy it. Go to Amazon to get you copy of the book, A Fatherâs Heart. It makes a great holiday gift. And if you like the song Confession, download it here for free, just for listening! Thanks.

A story and song about Denmark. The book, A Fatherâs Heart is available here. It makes a wonderful holiday gift. The song, Heartshaped Stone can be downloaded here for free!
This one was inspired by listener Jim Lindâ and his fiance Tammy Petersenâ, who like one of my older songs written about the Danish island of Bornholmâ. The recording comes from 1996, live in a hotel courtyard with my buddy Adam Williamsonâ watching the DAT player to make sure that my guitar and voice, which are plugged into the same little amp, donât get too hot! Hope you enjoy it.
