    Chris & Matt are about to meet in person, for the first time at Console Room, but before we do, we have a book to review!

    This month, we are reviewing “The King of Terror” by Keith Topping, which features the Fifth Doctor, Tegan, and Turlough (serendipitously visiting the United States) with the Brigadier and UNIT in tow. Originally published in November 2000 in paperback, the book is out of print but is still available digitally on some services, including Amazon. Happy reading!

    The 60th Anniversary celebrations continue and Happy Holidays! This month, we review the first two specials “The Star Beast” and “Wild Blue Yonder,” then we hop back in time to 1982 as we read “The Diary of a Dr Who Addict,” by Paul Magrs. Originally published in 2009, the book is long out of print but the audiobook version (read by the author) is still available on Audible and other services. Happy reading!

  • October 2023 Book Club:

    This month, to tie into the upcoming “The Star Beast” 60th anniversary special, we are reading the 4th Doctor graphic novel “The Iron Legion,” published by Panini in April 2004. The collection includes “The Iron Legion,” “City of the Damned,” “The Star Beast,” “The Dogs of Doom,” and “The Time Witch.” Two of the stories have been adapted by Big Finish into full cast audio dramas, and can be purchased here.

    While this graphic novel volume is out of print, the stories within can be found in original Doctor Who Weekly issues - or collected in upcoming “The Fourth Doctor Anthology,” also from Panini, due out November 2nd, 2023. Happy reading!
