There's been a big decline in wildlife in recent years, and we're all guilty of planting plants that are good for us only or setting up our gardens without much thought for the wildlife.
In this episode we talk about how we're encouraging wildlife into our garden. From newts to frogs to hedgehogs, and especially pollinators!
We'd love your feedback too. Is there something we should be talking about? Let us know! Send us a DM on Instagram.

Spring is the perfect time to get outside and learn about foraging for wild edibles. It's fun, easy, and you can find wild foods to eat all year round!
In this episode we discuss how we love looking for mushrooms, eating some of the things we've found, and even using wild plants for medicinal purposes.
NOTE: THIS EPISODE IS NOT DESIGNED TO BE ADVICE, MERELY AN INTERESTING CONVERSATION. DO NOT EAT OR USE PLANTS MEDICINALLY IF YOU CAN NOT IDENTIFY THEM PROPERLY.

The solution to this problem is not an easy one, but in this episode, we’ll be exploring how we are rescuing our waste as a household and what this is doing to reduce our carbon footprint.
We speak to you about the brilliant services we use daily, services such as Oddbox, Milk and More, and Fill, and how creating a closed-loop system is a step in the right direction that everyone can do.
Thousands of people are creating a new, more sustainable life for themselves this winter, will you be one of them?

The world is changing and the way we live is changing with it. We are seeing more and more people choosing to be self-sufficient, self-reliant, and self-employed.
In this episode, we’re going to talk about how we are trying our hand at self-sufficiency through growing our own food, looking at our renewable energy options, and staying as independent from big corporations as possible.
This episode is about the importance of self-reliance, self-sufficiency, and the need to work towards a different type of future.
How easy it is to live self-sufficiently throughout the year with a self-sufficient homestead? We’re hoping to find out!

We are Niki and Mr G, a couple from The West Country in England, and we're just starting out on an amazing journey to turn our lives from 'norma' and 'mundane' to exciting and challenging.
We're planning to grow as much of our own food as we can, minimise our impact on our beautiful planet, and raise a family in a traditional and wholesome way. We haven't got much, we've got a postage stamp garden and full-time jobs, but we have got a lot of love and a big dream for our future.
We'd love it if you joined us along the way!
