  • Periods and parliament. Not really two words that would be thrown together often. But you’ll hear both in this episode.

Chatting with three MP’s about stillbirth, women’s health and the federal agenda. Learn how you can be part of the conversation and listen as we chat with Australia’s Federal Minister for Health the Honorable Greg Hunt, the Honorable Senator Kristina Keneally and federal member for Boothby Nicolle Flint.

What is the Australian government doing to about stillbirth? Can parties join forces to reduce the rates, which remain virtually unchanged for over two decades? This episode delivers the personal side of politics.

It was a privilege and a pleasure. Thanks for tuning in.

  • Let's continue the conversation with Claire Foord, the Founder and CEO of Still Aware.

In Part 1 of this episode, Claire shared with us the journey through her pregnancy with Alfie, and receiving the news her perfect baby would be born without breath. After her daughters stillbirth, Claire founded Still Aware after the loss of her own daughter Alfie Foord-Heath, who was stillborn at term on February 12, 2014.

In this, Part 2, we chat with Claire, as she answers questions she’s never been asked before. She speaks more in-depth about her delivery of Alfie, and how her life changed after her daughters birth. Including the reality of stillbirth, campaigning for prevention and creating purpose from unfathomable grief.

Thanks for taking the time to listen to this incredible woman.

We chat about all this and more when I take the reigns and turn the tables, talking with Claire Foord, your regular Be Still Be Aware host and Still Aware Founder and CEO.

After Claire first found out she was expecting, her world was filled with excitement and great expectations of parenting to come. This defining moment saw her respond with a desire and drive for change and had her questioning “Why didn’t anyone tell me stillbirth was a possibility?

... How a little life has the power to enact great change
