  • Todays Episode is an interview with Al Thursfield, a food-loving entrepreneur from Byron Bay. In 2017, Al launched Daily Food, a snack brand that makes fun, functional and delicious snacks designed to help people fall in love with food again.

Al's journey to establishing her brand is a deeply personal one, rooted in her own battle with an eating disorder during her adolescent years. She didn't recognise it at the time, but the toxic diet culture of the 90s and 00s significantly influenced Al’s relationship with food and her body which, unfortunately, is an experience so many can relate to. Today, while less overt, toxic diet culture and its impacts are still felt. Through Daily Food, Al is on a mission to change that.

Daily Food makes functional, fun and delicious snacks that aim to inspire happier and healthier lives. Al is passionate about bringing joy back to the way we talk and think about food, and this shines through in our conversation today.

In our interview, we dive into:

    - Her why and mission behind starting daily food.

    - Her experience of an eating disorder and the isolation it causes.

    - Her journey to recovery.

    - Her intention to support people to find joy in sharing food with friends and family and shifting the way we look at food, seeing it as something to celebrate rather than a cause for anxiety.

    - The impact of social media on young girls.

    - How we speak to ourselves in front of our children.

    - The You and Food survey and starting the conversation.

    - Her business journey with Daily Food and how she has navigated the challenges.

  • This Episode was very special to me. It was very spontaneous, but when I met Rick, I knew I had to bring his wisdom and message to the podcast.

I met Rick a few weeks ago at the gym I work at.

I wanted his message heard because it inspired me so much, it brought me to tears. So many of us give up on ourselves way to early. We park our dreams, our goals and living our life fully because we start to believe we are not worthy of it. We look for evidence to support this. We allow our age to define who we are and where we 'should' be at in our life.

One of my messages in Beautiful is that age does not define you. While ageing is actually a beautiful thing, it doesn't define what you can and cannot do. It truly is a number. There is so much more to a human that the number of years they have been here...such as how deeply you have lived and loved.

Rick is a beautiful example of that. He shares how he cultivates his unshakeable mindset everyday, and how he is going to take this mindset into the boxing ring next month when he (in Ricks words) beats the 30 year olds in that ring.

Rick inspired me so much and I cannot wait for you to hear his widsom. Sadly, the episode was only 8 minutes. We only had a very small pocket of time to record but who knows? Maybe I will get him back on the podcast.

If you loved this episode and received value from it, I would love for you to follow the show, so that you can stay up to date with future eps. It would also mean the absolute world to me if you left a review so that I can get this podcast out to more people.

  • In this episode, I am joined by my beautiful friend Anna Rose and she courageously shares her story & her heart.

Anna is one incredible woman who I have deeply respected for many years for her insane courage and unapologetic way of showing up in the world. She is an Entrepreneur who has been in business for 15 years. Not only has she been successful in business, and disrupted industries, she has absolutely thrived through her unshakeable mindset of grit, determination & never giving up despite the inevitable challenges. She has founded 3 of her own companies including Self-love School, her NFT project 'The Awakened Woman’ and soon to come, her very own activewear label, 'TAW Collective'.

In a nutshell, Anna teaches women how to live unapologetically, sovereignly & with radical self-love. She is one of the most inspiring women I know and I have always been in awe hearing her story and what she has gone on to create despite hardship she has experienced in her life. She is a gal who gets back up again after defeat, dusts herself off and gets back in the ring. I knew from the moment I created this podcast that I needed to get Anna on as a guest. We recorded this ep back in February which is crazy! Time does fly.

In this episode, we dive into:

    - How Anna cultivated the mindset and resilience she has which has seen her overcome life's greatest challenges and still create phenomenal success despite the hardships (her belief is she can come up against anything and still thrive).

    - Her definition of self love (she shares her motto: knowing myself, loving myself, trusting myself, backing myself).

    - Cultivating Courage to express your true self and letting go of the paralysing fear of what others think.

    - Having the courage to say what you mean and mean what you say.

    - Cultivating courage to be disliked.

    - The use of filters on social media.

    - Loving yourself through the mess.

    - Being unapologetic.

    - The importance of knowing who you are and who you want to become.

    - Going after your dreams..unapologetically.

    - Facing criticism and building capacity for it.

    - Navigating heartbreak and her personal story experiencing divorce and how she navigated this season of her life.

    - Her healing journey and the importance of feeling your feelings.

    - Shifting the standard for the relationship that you truly want.

    - Her current project, The Awakened Woman and TAW Collective and what she is creating in business.

    and soo much more...

  • Welcome to Beautiful the Podcast, the Trailer Episode.

This one is called Perfectly imperfect.

I did it a little backward with this podcast in terms of releasing an interview first & the trailer afterward…hehe but that’s okay.

In this Episode, I introduce the vision of Beautiful, my why behind this vision, what to expect from this Podcast and more.

You know when you know a vision so well inside? But speaking it out into words can be hard?

Well that’s what it felt like recording this. It took many attempts to record this one because I was really trying to articulate the vision. I was pretty nervy and stumbled the words a little. But I’ve handed it over now and I just deeply trust that you will get it. If not..I just trust. I trust that you will see as time evolves & the vision comes to life. I have to allow it to be imperfect. I’m learning a lot about this right now as I get creative again.

Thank You if you are here listening. It honestly means the world and I'm excited to share this journey with you.

    So much love

    Marnie x
