Quiet can feel like loss until you realise it’s also space. Mel sits down again with Suzy Mighell, author of Empty Nest Blessed, for a warm follow-up chat about what really changes when kids grow up and the house gets still. We talk honestly about the emotional whiplash of parenting through seasons and why it’s normal to feel two things at once: grief and gratitude, fear and courage, missing the noise and loving the calm.
We dig into what Suzy calls the sandwich generation, when you’re supporting adult children (and sometimes grandkids) while also watching your own parents age and need more care. That role reversal can be heavy, but it can also clarify what matters, helping you make more intentional choices with time, relationships, and faith. If you’ve been craving practical empty nest encouragement, you’ll hear simple ways to reframe the quiet as a gift that supports deeper thinking, stronger boundaries, and more purposeful living.
We also get practical about parenting adult kids well. Suzy names the biggest mistake many of us make: giving advice without being asked. We unpack the shift from coach to cheerleader, manager to mentor, and leader to listener, plus how to encourage adult kids (and daughters-in-law) without stepping on toes. If your child keeps you out of the loop, Suzy shares “little touches” that build connection without pressure and a communication cheat code when you don’t know what to say: reflect their feelings and stay present.

EOFY can make money feel like a never-ending scoreboard: tax returns, deductions, budgets, and loud advice online about how to get ahead. We wanted to slow that noise down and ask a better question: what if financial peace has less to do with how much we earn, and more to do with how we steward what we already have?
We share three biblically backed shifts that have reshaped how we think about money and stress. First, stewardship starts with what is already in your hands, not someone else’s income. Then we talk about money as a tool, not a master, and the subtle ways fear can move money into the driver’s seat. Finally, we unpack why margin matters, how preparation can be an act of faith, and what Proverbs 21 and Joseph’s story show us about planning without panic.
You’ll leave with practical, realistic next steps for budgeting, tracking spending, building an emergency fund, paying down debt, and choosing generosity with intention, plus one simple prompt to sit with this week.If you want to go deeper, we also share how the She’s Organised Hub supports women with coaching, Bible studies, and practical resources.

Burnout can look like competence, especially when you’re a mum carrying the mental load, the calendar, the emotions, and everyone’s needs. But what happens when the systems that once kept you afloat start replacing your peace? Clarissa Rosato-Jones joins me to unpack the shift from surviving to living surrendered, and why being “beyond organised” starts with the heart long before it shows up in the home.
Clarissa is a wife, mum of seven, homeschool educator, and faith driven leader who’s lived the pressure of constant doing. We talk about the difference between achievement and alignment, why many women tie their worth to what they can get done, and how that mindset quietly glorifies burnout. We also get practical: five minutes with God before you touch your phone, learning to sit in silence, and setting simple boundaries that calm an overstimulated household so you can respond instead of react.
We then dive into the story behind her move into homeschooling, sparked by a major school redistricting change and guided by prayer, community, and unexpected confirmation. Even if homeschooling isn’t on your radar, the takeaway is bigger: trust God with the parts you’re gripping the tightest, release what you were never meant to carry, and focus on what you’re called to do right now in this season.Follow Clarissa on Instagram @clarissa.rosadojones

Silence can look like “being a good woman”, “being respectful”, or “not causing trouble”, but it can also keep people trapped in fear, abuse, and spiritual manipulation. We sit with Judy Hannah James, a preacher, Bible teacher, prophetic voice, and women’s mentor who has served in ministry for decades, to talk honestly about what she’s seen and what she’s lived. Judy shares how personal experiences of mental and emotional abuse helped her understand the hidden battles many women face, especially in patriarchal cultures where speaking up feels dangerous.
We explore what it means to be a woman in ministry in India, the resistance that can come from tradition, and why the climate is slowly changing as women claim their voice. Judy explains how she mentors and counsels women by laying a foundation in the Word of God, listening carefully, and helping them move from excuses into real change. We also talk about spiritual abuse, why “anointed” language is not a free pass for control, and how discernment grows when you read the Bible for yourself and stay sensitive to the Holy Spirit.
You’ll also hear practical takeaways around healthy rhythms, rest that actually refuels, prioritising what matters, and balancing calling with family life. Judy’s line lands hard: your children are your first ministry, so don’t sacrifice them on the altar of ministry or work.Follow Judy on Instagram @judydennison8

You can have a tidy house, a packed planner, and a “good” routine and still feel like you’re failing. I’m pulling apart why that happens, and why the fix usually isn’t another checklist. When we separate organisation from mindset, faith, emotions, and boundaries, we end up treating symptoms while the real weight stays on our shoulders.
We dig into the shift from life management to life stewardship: caring for what God has entrusted to you, without turning control into a substitute for trust. I walk through the questions I use in coaching that cut through the noise fast, like what God has actually assigned to you in this season, what you’re carrying that doesn’t belong to you, and where fear might be driving the need to control time, money, children, or outcomes. If you’re battling overwhelm, mental load, lost identity, weak boundaries, burnout, or that constant “I’m stuck” feeling, you’ll hear why these struggles often come as a bundle, and how to respond without piling on more pressure.
You’ll also get a clear framework I use with women: five pillars of balance time, money, self-care, home, and work. We talk time stewardship, financial stewardship in a cost-of-living season, self-care that’s deeper than treats, and why the best organising systems only work when the beliefs underneath them match the truth. If you want support that meets you in real life, I share how the She’s Organised Hub, monthly Bible studies, and private coaching can help (DM me on IG), including real-time voice and text support for the moments that actually make or break change. Subscribe, share this with a friend who’s carrying too much, and leave a review so more women can find practical help and faith-filled encouragement.

**Trigger Warning: Depression and Suicide.**
She thought about ending it all, then one ordinary invitation and one genuine laugh cracked the darkness open.
We sit down with Emilee, a coffee-loving mum of three under five and the mind behind Emailing With Emilee, to talk about postpartum depression, long-term depression, and the painful legacy of growing up with rejection. Emily shares how the “not enough” story can take over after birth, why isolation makes it louder, and what it looked like to reach a point where she’d planned not to keep going. This is a faith-forward chat, but it’s also grounded in the real world of babies, sleepless nights, and trying to function when you feel empty.
From moving across the country to walking into a mums group she didn’t want to attend, Emily explains how community became a lifeline and how her faith shifted from duty to relationship. We talk about being a deep feeler, the burnout of always giving, and why healthy boundaries protect your peace. There’s also a powerful moment around Scripture as a living text, plus the thread that ties her story together: God remembers, even when you feel forgotten.
To bring it home for the mumpreneurs listening, Emily shares her practical approach to email marketing automation and how her Cozy Method builds trust through connection, organisation, and a buyer journey that feels personal even when it runs in the background.Connect with Emilee on Instagram @emailing.with.emilee

Your schedule can look “full” on paper and still feel empty in your body. We’re getting honest about why traditional time management often fails women, and why a better path is stewarding time with intention, surrender and wisdom. Time isn’t something we can buy back, so every yes carries a cost and every unplanned commitment can quietly steal peace, presence and health.
We dig into what stewardship actually means, how overcommitment builds a reactive life, and why chronic exhaustion is a warning sign we should take seriously. We talk boundaries as protection rather than punishment, and the mindset shift from trying to control everything to asking, “Lord, what belongs in this season?” You’ll hear practical ways to simplify without perfectionism, including the 4D filter (delete, delegate, delay, do differently), choosing clear priorities for today, and building anchors that create steady rhythms.
We also cover buffers and margin so the unexpected doesn’t wreck your whole day, plus parallel productivity as a smarter way to use the time you already have. The biggest takeaway is simple and challenging: put rest in your calendar first, because sustainable productivity starts with a regulated nervous system and a protected inner life.
If you want extra support, I invite you to join the She’s Organised Hub and keep learning with coaching call replays and resources, plus extra support from me.Subscribe, share this with a friend who’s worn out, and leave a review so more women can find a calmer, more intentional way to steward their time.

“Lost in motherhood” gets likes, nods, and instant agreement, but we’ve both felt how quickly that kind of language can shape your attitude, your gratitude, and even your spiritual footing. That’s why this conversation hits differently. I’m joined by Kristina Brooks, a Christian author, wife, and mum, to talk about what it looks like to navigate overwhelm without letting it define you, and how anchoring your identity in Christ changes the way you see your days.
Kristina shares the turning point that led her from a successful side hustle into a clear God-led calling to write, plus the very real struggle of creating a devotional while raising little kids. We talk about feeling unqualified, working without deadlines, and learning to keep going when motivation runs out. If you’ve ever tried to build something while juggling nappies, school runs, meals, and the mental load, you’ll feel seen.
We also get practical about self-publishing and book marketing: formatting, design, editing fatigue, trying for a traditional book deal, and the surprising peace that can come through “no response” moments. Christina opens up about showing up online with honesty rather than polish, and why a “real” voice matters even more in a world full of curated content.
If you want faith-based encouragement for mums, a fresh perspective on Christian motherhood, and a reminder that organisation is meant to serve your purpose, press play. Subscribe, share this with a mum who needs it, and leave a review so more women can find the conversation.Support the show

She moved countries, had a baby, tried to keep her career running, and quietly unravelled. If you’ve ever looked “fine” on the outside while feeling angry, afraid, or completely overwhelmed inside, you’ll recognise the pressure Ivy Mujuru describes and the way it can push a woman into perfectionism and isolation.
We’re joined by Ivy, the founder of God’s Whole Woman, a community for multifaceted Christian women who want to excel in every role while staying rooted in Christ. Ivy shares her journey from Zimbabwe to South Africa to Ireland, how postnatal depression and fear shaped her early motherhood, and the moment she finally said, “Holy Spirit, I’m done.” What followed wasn’t a harsh overhaul, but gentle, practical guidance: one walk at a time, a deeper prayer life, restored identity, and a new way to approach marriage, homemaking, self-care, and finances with God involved in the details.
We also talk about faith-based planning and why a holistic Christian planner can be more than productivity, it can be a tool for stewardship and peace. Ivy opens up about obedience when results don’t match expectations, including preparing for 50 women at a launch event and welcoming 12, then seeing God move anyway. If insecurity and fear of judgement have kept you from stepping out, this chat will help you reframe success and lean into surrender as the real breakthrough.Follow Ivy on Instagram @ivy_muj and @godswholewoman

Fear doesn’t always announce itself as fear. Sometimes it shows up as loyalty, silence, and a “good girl” version of humility that keeps us shrinking long after the danger has passed. Mel sits down with author and speaker Grace Rabia Wood to talk about what it takes to break generational patterns and heal the parts of us that parenting, relationships, and everyday life keep exposing.
Grace shares how pain became the starting point for her work helping women heal, find their voice, and name what happened in a safe space. We talk about oppression and survival mode, why time doesn’t heal wounds if we refuse to face them, and how family and cultural systems can reward secrecy while punishing truth-tellers. If you’ve ever felt like you’re the first person in your bloodline to say the hard things out loud, you’ll feel seen here.
We also get practical about mother wounds, self-talk, and how our inner world quietly shapes our kids. You’ll hear why fear can look like “honouring your family”, why boundaries can be called rebellion, and how healing can feel like betrayal when you start to outgrow old dynamics. Grace and Mel also speak openly about combining therapy and Christian faith, and what alignment looks like when you’re ready to move from surviving to becoming.Follow Grace on Instagram @grcerabiawood

One year ago, I hit publish on a brand new podcast and hoped it would help a few overwhelmed women breathe easier. Fast forward 52 weeks and I’m still here, still releasing every Monday morning, and still a bit stunned that Beyond Organised is now being heard across 56 countries and counting. This anniversary update is my honest behind-the-scenes look at what it’s taken to stay consistent while raising four kids, working, running She’s Organised, and navigating health setbacks, hospital visits, grief, and family challenges.
You’ll hear how the podcast has changed since those early, practical organisation and decluttering chats, and why I’m getting clearer about the direction moving forward. Organising systems matter, but they are only one piece. I share why faith, identity, emotional health, and intentional living are becoming a bigger part of the conversation, and how building a level of order in your home and weekly schedule can give you flexibility when life throws the unexpected at you.
I also want this to feel like your show. I ask for your feedback on what you’ve loved, what you want more of, and whether you prefer guest conversations or solo episodes. I’m opening the door to listener stories in year two and inviting your questions for future Q&A episodes on organising, time management, budgeting, parenting, faith and more. If you’d like deeper support, I share how the She’s Organised Hub works and other ways you can help keep the podcast going.
If you got value from this, please subscribe, share it with a friend, and leave a review so more people can find this very special show.Support the show

Postpartum can feel like waking up in a body you barely recognise, with a calendar that no longer belongs to you. Laura joins me to talk about mum and baby yoga as a grounded, practical way to reconnect with yourself while you care for a tiny human who changes daily. Her approach is built on mindful movement and bonding, without the pressure to be quiet, polished, or “back to normal”. If you’ve ever thought you’re not flexible enough, not fit enough, or not put-together enough for yoga, this chat is for you.
We get into what actually helps mums most: noticing what your body can do now, building strength as your baby grows, and finding a community where babies babble, mums laugh, and nobody gets shushed for being real. Laura shares why the hardest part is showing up, why “come exactly as you are” isn’t a slogan but a strategy, and how a welcoming environment can shift your confidence faster than any perfect pose.
We also explore yoga beyond the studio, including online options and “yoga for real life” ideas you can use in everyday parenting moments like the car seat struggle, getting out the door, or bedtime. We touch on spirituality and values, self-care that doesn’t feel indulgent, and why gratitude and self-love practices matter for kids as much as adults. If you want gentle postpartum yoga support, toddler yoga inspiration, or a more realistic path to wellbeing, hit play.Follow Laura on Instagram @mamiinmotion

Being told “it’s just anxiety” or “it’s just hormones” can make you doubt your own body, even when you know something is off. Today I’m joined by Tabitha, a Pilates instructor and mum who is on a mission to make Pilates feel less intimidating and far more useful for real life, especially for persistent pain, prenatal and postpartum recovery, and anyone who’s felt shut out by the glossy Pilates image online.
We talk about what changes after kids, from confidence and body image to the practical realities of time, energy, and money. Tabitha shares why “common doesn’t mean normal” matters so much for women’s health, how learning simple anatomy and better language can help you advocate at the doctor, and what postpartum support can include, like breathing mechanics, pressure management, diastasis recti guidance, pelvic floor strength, and reducing stress incontinence without shame.
We also go deep on POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) and the bigger conversation around post-viral syndromes. Tabitha explains why research and treatment pathways have lagged for decades, what protocols exist, and why a calmer, nervous system aware Pilates programme can be a more achievable starting point for some people living with chronic illness and fatigue.
If you’ve ever felt like movement “isn’t for your body” or that you need perfection before you can start, this chat offers a kinder, more practical way forward. A wedding can be stunning and still feel like chaos if you’re making decisions right up until you step into your dress. I’m sharing the practical wedding planning systems that make the day feel lighter, calmer, and far more enjoyable, especially if you’re someone who gets overwhelmed juggling details, people, and timelines.
Because my sister-in-law just got married and I’m in the bridal party, I’ve been thinking about the five things that matter most whether you’re weeks away or more. We talk through how the wedding day runs on decisions made well before the date, why a simple running sheet changes everything, and how to confirm vendors and payments early so you’re not chasing emails the morning of. I also explain why you need a clear go-to person (or a few) to handle timing, vendor questions, and small issues so the bride and groom can actually be present.
Then we zoom out to the part that lasts longer than any reception: the marriage. We get real about pre-marriage conversations like finances, expectations, where you’ll live, kids, and daily rhythms, plus why it’s never worth losing friendships or family over a one-day aesthetic. If you’re planning a wedding soon and want a calmer wedding day timeline with less stress, this one’s for you. Subscribe, share it with a bride or bridesmaid, and leave a review so more couples can plan with peace.Support the show

Easter can sound like a story for the afterlife, but what if it’s also a roadmap for your overfull, ordinary day? If you’re constantly rushing, trying to hold everything together, and wondering why you still feel worn out, we’re digging into a different angle: Jesus didn’t only come to secure eternity, he came so we can live life to the full right now.
We open up John 10:10 and talk about what “abundant life” looks like in the middle of work deadlines, parenting pressure, money stress, and the endless mental load. We move beyond the idea of being “saved from” and lean into being called into a new way of living (2 Corinthians 5:17) where conviction isn’t condemnation, it’s a loving nudge toward freedom. We also unpack why everyday faith matters more than looking put-together once a week, and how surrendering control becomes an active, daily choice.
You’ll hear practical encouragement anchored in Matthew 11:28–30 for anyone feeling burdened, plus a grounded take on integrity and character through Colossians 3:23. We also explore purpose and influence, not as a platform, but as the quiet impact you have in your home, workplace, and community when you live with intention and wisdom (Ephesians 5:15–16). If you’re a Christian woman who feels like you’ve hit a ceiling, I share how to go deeper through Kingdom Woman Breakthrough and what it’s designed to shift.

Anxiety that won’t lift, brain fog that makes you feel flat, and energy that crashes by mid-afternoon can make you question everything, including your willpower. We’re not interested in more guilt or more complicated rules. We want simple, doable health rhythms that work for real mums with full calendars and a heavy mental load.
I’m joined by functional nutritionist Sally-Anne Kearns, who helps women 35+ calm anxiety using stackable microhabits that stabilise blood sugar, clear brain fog, and support steady energy. Sally-Anne shares her personal story of leaving a high-pressure career, navigating severe postnatal depression and anxiety, and rebuilding her health by learning how the body communicates through symptoms. We talk digestion basics you can start today, why “protein first” at breakfast can change your whole day, and how ultra-processed foods and modern oils can quietly add to inflammation and overwhelm.
We also get practical about family life: easy protein options, simple meal structures, and meal planning systems that reduce fight-or-flight when the kids ask what’s for dinner. Along the way we touch on perimenopause, the stress “bucket” that fills over years, and why you don’t need to spend a fortune on testing and supplements to start feeling better. If you’re in a season where you need hope and a next step, this chat will meet you there.Follow Sally-Anne on Instagram @sallyannekearns or on Facebook: Sally-Anne Kearns.

Feeling overwhelmed by health advice that sounds great online but falls apart in real life? Monica, a Naturopath and Nutritionist with over a decade of clinical experience in women’s hormonal health and fertility, joins me for a grounded chat about what actually helps when you’re juggling family, work and a body that’s asking for more support.
We get into the nuts and bolts of a personalised approach: tracking your real rhythms (hunger, energy, sleep, emotions), building nutrition that you can sustain, and understanding why stress can block progress even when you’re eating “well” and exercising. Monica shares why so many women under-eat, how protein and nourishment change the game, and why progress matters more than a perfect plan you cannot keep.
We also talk fertility and hormone balance in a practical, evidence-based way. That includes reviewing blood work like ferritin, setting clear targets, and using simple lifestyle supports you might not expect, like warmth and helping your body feel safe. The conversation goes deeper into stewardship, faith and responsibility, especially when you’ve done what you can and still need to trust in God's timing.

What if the collisions in your life aren’t random but the result of unchecked blind spots? We sit down with Dr Melanie Desmuke-Battles, a speaker, leadership strategist and founder of Scholars for the Soul, to unpack how ambitious women can heal from burnout, rediscover purpose and build systems that reflect inner wholeness, not constant hustle.
Across this conversation, we explore how identity gets tangled in titles and to-do lists, and why true transformation starts with community that is safe, honest and non-judgmental. Dr Melanie shares the story behind her “blind spot strategist” work, plus the heart of Bibles and Brunch, a sisterhood built on prayer, restoration and practical strategy. We move from theory to practice with tools that create margin, like Mel's simplify 4D Filter (delete, delegate, delay, do differently) so calendars make room for faith, flexibility and actual rest.
We also dive into limiting beliefs and the ache of “not deserving” the call. You’ll hear why perfectionism masquerades as safety, how comparison culture steals momentum, and what it looks like to act on the last clear instruction rather than needing a ten-step map. A powerful segment rethinks childlike faith for those who grew up too soon through trauma or eldest-daughter roles, offering gentle ways to unlearn white-knuckle control and reclaim curiosity at the feet of Jesus.
By the end, you’ll have language for your blind spots, rhythms that rebuild self-trust, and a clearer vision for leading with strategy and soul at home and at work. Whole people create whole systems and your next step can be simple, faithful and enough.Follow Dr. Melanie on Instagram @drmel_withsoul

Ever notice how the word that defined you as a child still whispers in your faith today? Responsible, fearful, carefree, intense... those early scripts can quietly turn trust into performance or even control. We open up about the invisible lenses that shape how we see God, money, and control, and why childlike faith isn’t naive at all. It’s a grounded posture of expectancy, curiosity, and hope that changes how you budget, plan, and breathe through uncertainty.
We start by naming the lens: control, safety, performance, fear of failure, obligation... what would you call it? From there, we trace how those reflexes show up when the bank balance dips or life crowds in. Instead of waiting until our backs are against the wall to pray, we make the counterintuitive move of surrender first. You’ll hear practical ways to pair intentional planning with honest trust, so you can stop white-knuckling outcomes while still stewarding your responsibilities with clarity.
This conversation also tackles the traits we were told were too much. Loud, bossy, intense can be raw material for leadership, advocacy, and holy courage when refined by wisdom. We share prompts to help you reclaim those parts without bulldozing others: What did you suppress to fit in? What might God be asking you to bring back? Along the way, we offer a fresh reframing like life is happening for you, not to you and that restores agency without denying reality and builds faith one small proof at a time.
If you’re ready to trade striving for surrender and fear for trust, tune in for a blend of story, practical steps, and gentle challenge. Subscribe, share this with a friend who’s carrying too much, and leave a review to tell us what childhood word you’re reframing now.**Correction: The scripture is Matthew 18:3.

What if a full life could feel lighter and fulfilling? We sit down with Karla (a mum of three, nonprofit director, church leader, and homeschool parent) to unpack how purpose, support and simple systems can turn a crowded schedule into a steady rhythm. From scholarships that open doors to civics programs that make learning fun, she shows how education advocacy can meet families where they are and connect them to real help.
We get practical about homeschooling: start with the child’s learning style, blend online and book-based tools, and trade seat time for meaningful time. Karla shares why music and movement change the brain, how micro schooling and real-life projects spark curiosity, and why parents are their children’s first and lasting teachers. We also explore the Fatherhood Project, a research-backed path for emotionally engaged dads and parents in recovery, and how elevating fathers strengthens the entire family.
Health and energy run through it all. Karla reflects on recovering from a stroke, the role of sleep and holistic care, and how gratitude and prayer keep her grounded. Mel opens up about reshaping routines after burnout and choosing boundaries that protect joy. Together we map out simple, repeatable habits like calendars that actually serve you, support networks that lighten the load, and guilt-free self-care that keeps love and patience on tap. If you’re craving a home that learns, laughs, and rests, this conversation offers some steps and warm encouragement.Follow Karla on Instagram at @connectwithkarla and on Facebook.
