In this episode we chat to Ian 'Dicko' Dickson. Where did Dicko even come from? 20 years ago he just turned up on Australian TV, an Englishman with a hell of a lot to say. After a blistering run on prime time television, and a shorter run on radio, Dicko and his wife Mel moved to the Sunshine Coast hinterland, where Dicko toys with vegetarianism and occasional yoga, and continues to spot talent and promote musicians. Dicko is one of my favourite people in the world. He’s smart funny and loves a fight more than a feed. Today we debate those ’11 mundane words’, talk about how he got here, and what we can learn from cancel culture. He might even change your mind.

On December 8 2003 Queensland’s Sunshine Coast woke to the news that a boy was missing.
About to turn 14 – Daniel Morcombe had left home on Sunday morning to go Christmas shopping, his twin brother Bradley, not keen on the shops, had left him at the bus stop. Daniel had not been seen since.
Before long, everyone in Australia was looking for Daniel… but his family knew in their hearts Daniel was gone.
Ten long years later Brett Peter Cowan was charged with Daniel’s murder and ultimately sentenced to life in prison.
When Daniel’s body was found, even though it was the worst outcome imaginable, the Morcombes began to heal.
But how did Bruce and Denise stayed married, through those darkest days, how did they keep their marriage together?

I thought I knew Terri and Steve Irwin's story. But as we sat down to chat I realised I didn't know some really important stuff - like how they met, how they made it work long distance and who said I love you first. We talk about falling in love, building an extraordinary life together and saying goodbye when you are just not ready. And is offering to carry the heavy end of a dead feral pig love language? You be the judge.
