“Self-awareness is the foundation of strength.”
Lynn Coleman speaks with Rhonda Parker Taylor — academic, entrepreneur, and author — about life balance, leadership, and the practical power of emotional intelligence. Growing up around her father’s steel manufacturing plant, Rhonda learned early that leadership requires both resilience and care. Now on her book tour, she shares why self-awareness, empathy, and stress management are not “soft skills,” but essential tools for business and life.
This episode explores how power isn’t about doing more, but about balancing who you are with what you do. Rhonda shows us that emotional intelligence isn’t optional if we want to grow without burning out — it’s the real foundation of leadership.

“You’re already giving off a vibe. The question is — do you know what it’s saying?”
Lynn Coleman and Dr. Jason Del Gandio discuss the idea of "vibes" and how important they are in all our interactions. Dr. Del Gandio, a professor at Temple University, explains how vibes are the exchange of energy between individuals, which can be physical, metaphysical, or spiritual. Everyone has a core vibe, which can be strong or weak, and that vibe can influence how we perceive and interact with others. We also explore the relationship between vibes and power - how can vibes influence how powerful we feel and how others see us?

That’s why Sue is passionate about helping others understand what ADHD is and embracing all of it - warts and all.

Worried AI will make you sound like a robot? Here’s how to make it sound like you.
In today’s episode, I’m taking you through a simple 3-step process to create texts using ChatGPT, without ever sounding robotic. I’m explaining how to do this even if you’ve never used AI before. AI can save you so much time that you could use for other things, like working with clients!
A lot of coaches and healers hold back from using any AI because they want to write authentically and they’re worried that AI will change that. In this episode I’ll show you how to avoid that and introduce you to some of the many ways that ChatGPT can make your life easier.
I also mention the role of a writing coach in helping you uncover your unique message and overcome writing blocks.
“Magic in, magic out”

Don’t force yourself to write for your business. Instead, try these gentle, intuitive techniques that work so much better.
In this episode, I’m talking about writer's block - you know, when anything feels way easier than writing. And I’m inviting you to try something different - are you open to going a little deeper than prompts, templates or ChatGPT?
Here’s why: writer’s block means your subconscious mind is doing something you don’t fully understand yet. If you engage with it, you’ll unlock that secret and find a treasure trove of deeply unique stories and things to write about. And that helps you connect with your audience.
If you are a life coach or energy healer and you get turned off by marketing, your writer’s block is definitely trying to tell you something. Find out more during this episode.

What if addiction isn’t a weakness? What if it’s showing you where you can reclaim your power?
In this episode, Lynn Coleman and Zach Ferguson discuss addiction and recovery. Zach, an addiction educator and self-led recoveree, has his own definition of addiction: the belief that external sources can provide fulfillment. It’s this belief that leads to feelings of powerlessness. And that keeps you stuck.
Zach shares his journey from addiction to recovery and he doesn’t hold back on talking about the highs or the lows. He sees addiction is a societal issue, not a personal moral failing. That’s because addiction is a survival mechanism triggered by unprocessed childhood trauma.
Zach advocates for viewing addiction as a gift - it’s showing us where we need to heal. He’s encouraging anyone with an addiction (and any of us with unhealthy habits) to redefine our relationship with the thing we ‘need’.
This episode isn’t just for people with addictions or who know people with addictions. It’s an invitation to redefine our relationship with ourselves and the outside world.

“Do you secretly believe money is ‘bad’?” Angela Tipton unpacks the hidden beliefs that could be sabotaging your future plans —and how to shift them.
In this episode, Angela Tipton, founder of Fire Your Career, discusses the concept of financial freedom and the importance of a positive money mindset with me. She explains how financial freedom allows you to choose how to spend your time, such as retiring early or pursuing new passions. Angela emphasizes how we need to challenge disempowering beliefs about money, like always spending whatever you earn or the idea that only selfish people have money.
We talk about the FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) movement and the importance of saving and investing wisely (no matter what your age). Angela also shares her personal journey, including dealing with her health challenges, and gives us advice about self-help books and reflecting on personal goals, so we can achieve a powerful money mindset.
And as usual in Conversations About Power, we relate all of these topics to Angela’s vision on power and how it applies to her life.

In this episode, I share my experiences from a recent trip to Phoenix for a group coaching program with James Wedmore. I also share the stress of the run up to going - dealing with a lost cat, arranging for its care, and my Mum’s hospitalisation. Despite this, I managed to attend and enjoy the event, learning once again how important connection is, with myself and others. This is the main topic today - how social interactions reduced and changed during the pandemic and how much we need personal connections. Connecting with yourself in business and marketing is going to become increasingly important and the place to start that process is YOU.

How the oldest bodybuilder on the stage found her power and founded 3 schools
Tina Miller is an international speaker and comedian, who has founded three sober schools in Florida for teenagers struggling with addictions.
I’m very lucky to have Tina share her story with me today. Her story is so incredible that she’s been invited to share it on the Kelly Clarkson show.
We talk about how she survived childhood trauma, rape, and domestic violence to found schools that provide mental health care and recovery support for these kids who often go unseen.
She explains why we need to change our ideas about addiction. She tells us about her recent surgery experience, and how it made her reflect on her own power.
And, because that’s the kind of woman she is, Tina also discusses how she became a bodybuilder and why she was grateful to be the oldest by far on the competition stage.

In this episode of Conversations About Power, I’m talking to Rima Nouri, a life coach and old client of mine who specializes in home environments. It’s great to reconnect with her and hear about her move from Paris to Normandy.
Rima discusses her move and its impact on her personal and professional life. There’s something calming about the roar of the sea!
She explains the connection between home, your sense of power, and your personal well-being. Rima also shares how renovating her new home and taking up singing again have significantly improved her own life.
A word that crops up a lot during this conversation is your ‘essence’. Rima highlights the importance of staying connected to your essence and that we should use AI as a tool rather than a replacement for human connection.
If you enjoy wide-ranging conversations and ideas that you can put into practice from the comfort of your own couch, you’ll love this conversation with Rima Nouri.
