DISTRIKT had been on my Burning Man wish list for years.
I was originally scheduled to play there in 2023, but the historic rainstorm and flooding forced us to cancel. Then DISTRIKT took 2024 off altogether, making this return even more anticipated.
When the opportunity finally came in 2025, I wanted to make it extra special and invited my brother ARODES to join me for a special back-to-back set. It was one of those quintessential Burning Man moments, facing the playa by 10 & J, and the legendary Funktion-One system delivering the powerful sonic storm DISTRIKT is known for didn’t disappoint.
We're deeply grateful to have had the chance to soundtrack such a cinematic moment and would like to thank the entire DISTRIKT community for the invitation and for their long-standing commitment to creating magic in the dust year after year.

“Splendor” opens the release with uplifting energy, built around shimmering chords, warm bass movement, and a groove designed for peak-time moments. The track builds steadily with layered percussion and rich melodic textures, creating an atmosphere that feels both euphoric and hypnotic. With its rolling rhythm and radiant harmonies, Splendor captures that unmistakable feeling of a packed dance floor hitting its stride.
On the flip side, “Burning Up” leans deeper into the groove with a punchy bass line and driving drums that push the momentum forward. Subtle vocal elements and crisp percussion add tension and movement, while the arrangement gradually intensifies into a powerful late-night house workout. It’s a track made for dim lights, sweat-filled rooms, and systems turned all the way up.

This was my first time at Burning Man and it was magical for so many reasons. The morning of my set at DISTRIKT with Carl Cox, we rode out to the deep playa where my boyfriend of 10 years got down on bended knee and proposed to me, just as the sun was peeking above the mountains! The magic in the air was electrifying, I didn't think it could get any better than that moment, and then that same afternoon I found myself onstage at Distrikt, playing the music I adore to a crowd of burners, all so pumped to get the party started after a few days of bad weather! Handing over to Carl was such a surreal, special moment for me. I'll cherish that day for the rest of my life!💜

DISTRIKT was the first dance floor I ever stepped onto at my first Burning Man many years ago, and still to this day I recall the wonderful chaos that unfolded right in front of my eyes. A nice blend of naked and costumed bodies, all moving in a frantic way: the energy was unparalleled. Given this context, being invited to play the stage that week was a deeply personal moment for me. With the tough weather behind us, closing the week and welcoming the weekend felt like a proper celebration. I leaned into a groovy and upbeat, house-adjacent set to fully embrace the day. I hope this set brightens your mood as it did mine.

My first encounter with DISTRIKT was years ago at Burning Man, when we camped right next to them. When everyone else powered down, they were just getting started—day after day. Sleep was optional 😀 Years later, I found myself behind the decks there, and I really enjoyed every minute of it ❤️ Stayed backstage a bit too long after the set and missed my chance to make it home dry 🤪

This EP comes courtesy of Klaudie, with two tracks that show off both range and restraint. One is a solo effort, the other a collaboration with m.O.N.R.O.E., and together they sketch out two sides of the same late-night vibe.
"Make This Place" (Klaudie & m.O.N.R.O.E.) pulls from multiple corners of the house spectrum—UKG edges, raw tech grit, and a straight-up house backbone. A bass lead keeps the record driving while tough, unpolished drums give it bite. Functional but far from flat.
"Don’t Stop" (Klaudie) leans deeper and dirtier. Think 90s hip-hop snares reimagined for the floor, a kick that doesn’t quit, and chord stabs placed with just enough restraint. Two tracks, zero filler.

It was a special day having our longtime friend and DISTRIKT supporter, DJ Chus, join us at Shack15 in San Francisco for our San Francisco fundraiser on August 2nd. A true legend in the world of house music, he brought his signature sound and energy to the decks, delivering an unforgettable set that had the dance floor moving from start to finish. Chus perfectly captured the spirit of the day and set the vibe overlooking The Bay, making it one of those special DISTRIKT parties we’ll always remember.

We are excited to launch the progressive side of DISTRIKT Sound with none other than our good friend Brian Cid. This two-track EP starts with "Mind Game," a deep musical journey centered around the sincere message of Brian’s good friend, Diego Dorothy. He expresses his new commitment to practicing daily meditation after feeling that, in his own words, "enough is enough”, as he no longer wishes to be trapped in a mind game. Brian explains: “When I received this message on the phone, I felt it needed to be shared with the world, so I decided to create an entire track around it. The haunting-style groove is built with Roland drum machines, accompanied by live electric guitar and Moog synthesizers, all written in a call-and-response style. This track is designed for a big indoor or outdoor space, catered to DISTRIKT Sounds.”
The EP continues with "Aladanza," a very energetic, uplifting minimal progressive track with a forward-moving funky groove. Its big bass lines and funky guitar riffs create an undeniable motion. It’s a big vibe-setter, designed to be played at peak moments. “I was inspired by the summers while living in Berlin, the festive emotions, and the dancing spirit. "Aladanza" means "to go dance."

A place that needs no introduction in the Burning Man community... yet an enigma to the rest of the world! The cages... the dust storms... the once in a life time sets... and my god those SUNSETS! In 2004 The Deep End change my perception of what a dance floor should/could be... it changed the way I expected a dance floor to make me feel! It introduced me to the concept of Frisson... or as I like to call it... the “dance floor orgasm”. It had been nearly 20 years of wanting to play that incredible camp and it finally happened in 2023 alongside my dear friend Jetzen.

Playing DISTRIKT at Burning Man is always an incredible pleasure, but this year was particularly special with the camp at the 10 o’clock corner. The view of the open playa, art cars gliding past, and mini dust tornadoes swirling around created a unparalleled backdrop to open that Wednesday for the Distrikt x Robot Heart link up — elegantly highlighting our vibrant Burning Man community.
