  • On this episode of the Do Epic Shit Today Podcast, I sit down with the incredible Olly Wrinch. A retired Big Mountain skier and mountain biker, Olly has since found his purpose as a Stress Management and Sleep Optimization Coach - and holy crap, he’s epic at it.

Our conversation left me speechless at times. Olly shared powerful insights on perspective, validation, and navigating life’s journey. His grounded, compassionate approach is something we all need more of.

A few key takeaways from our chat:

You are enough - just as you are. Full stop.Sleep is crucial for both performance and managing stress. We often chase outcomes, but the magic is in learning to love the process.Stress is a natural part of life. The real issue? Not recovering from it - leading to burnout. It’s okay to humble yourself. If something feels too big, shrink the task - not your worth.Reflect on this: Where are you seeking validation? Is it serving you?

This episode feels like a virtual hug - a reminder of your value as a human, a deep dive into how stress affects performance and daily life, and a beautiful truth: regardless of your accolades or medals, you are enough.

  • On this episode of the Do Epic Shit Today Podcast, I sit down with Amanda Hoang - a woman who’s inspired the hell out of me for years. I finally worked up the nerve to invite her on the show to share her incredible story.

Why? Because Amanda is the definition of doing epic shit. She works full-time, is a mom to three amazing kids, lights up social media with her positive, high-energy presence, and is an absolute beast when it comes to running (and honestly, so many other aspects of life).

Most recently, Amanda completed her third marathon - just 10 months postpartum - with a blazing new personal record of 3:16. Her honesty and vulnerability in sharing her running journey, all while navigating motherhood, a career, and training online, have made her a standout voice and a source of inspiration to so many - myself included.

This episode is all about shining a light for anyone curious about balancing all the things they love—especially for those considering parenthood and wondering if big goals still fit into the picture. News flash: they totally do.

  • On this episode of the Do Epic Shit Today podcast, I sit down with the incredibly insightful and balanced human Gabe Gerhauser, a 7-time marathon runner who has been immersed in the running world for over five years, and has achieved the impressive feat of completing a sub-3-hour marathon. He's also a certified running coach and the founder of his own business, Sonoran Running. (Fun fact: marathon running runs in his family—his mom has completed over 75 marathons!)

In our conversation, we dive into the physical aspects and strategies of marathon training, but we also explore deeper topics, including:

The pursuit of and MAINTAINING balance during intense training cyclesReframing the feeling of being overwhelmed, rather than associating it with negativityUnderstanding what you can control and letting go of what you can’tMaintaining a big-picture perspective when you don’t always meet your goals (whether race-related or personal)

Running is incredibly applicable to life, and this episode highlights that perfectly.

  • On this episode of the Do Epic Shit Today Podcast, I chat with the awesomely epic, Danny Radford about life's endless possibilities and his North Star. I was introduced to Danny by a past guest, and right from the start, I could feel his positive energy through the phone. As we talked, we swapped adventure stories, physical feats and how we’ve both broken free from limiting mindsets—especially the ones we place on ourselves.

Danny's life is filled with incredible adventures, from hiking Mount Kilimanjaro (the world’s largest free-standing mountain) to tackling the Grand Canyon, competing in a charity boxing challenge that raised £17,000, publishing a novel, and constantly seeking new experiences to stay open to endless opportunities.

But what really makes Danny stand out is his "why." His main drive to be a better person is to inspire his daughter. He wants to show her that she can do anything she puts her mind to—there are no limits to what she can achieve.

In this episode, Danny shares how his love for his daughter has pushed him to become the best version of himself and how it’s changed the way he goes after his goals. When someone you love is your motivation to live a better life, it has the power to inspire not only yourself but also everyone around you—to live without limits or fear.

Listen in for some serious inspiration and motivation to chase your own goals and remember: the only limits that exist are the ones we place on ourselves.

  • On this episode of the Do Epic Shit Today Podcast, I chat with the super rad and determined human Rhett Abernathy. In 2024, Rhett achieved more than some people achieve in a lifetime. He graduated from a respected nursing program, competed in a bodybuilding competition, finished 2 half marathons, a 70.3 Ironman, and a marathon. Did I mention that this was Rhett’s first time doing all of those races?

Rhett chats with me about where he pulls his motivation from, how he manages his time to make sure his priorities are aligned with his goals, and how even at the end of a 12-hour shift, Rhett still finds the time to pursue his passions.

This episode is a great conversation and a reminder about how we make time for what matters most to us and how THE SKY'S THE DAMN LIMIT.

What’s next for Rhett? Well, nothing short of spectacular. Later this year, Rhett has locked in on a FULL Ironman and a few extra races to help him prepare, not to mention some professional goals that’ll make an impression.

Listen in to feel the spark that ignites the reminder: YOU ARE CAPABLE OF MUCH MORE THAN YOU GIVE YOURSELF CREDIT FOR.

  • In this episode of the Do Epic Shit Today Podcast, I reflect on two crucial components I learned in 2024: maintaining balance and navigating perspective. Personally, 2024 was one of the best years of my life, but it was also one of the hardest. After taking a couple of weeks off from rigorous training, I realized how my commitment to accomplishing a goal had become an obsession—one that no longer brought me the joy it once did. I had thrown myself so deeply into my goals that I lost myself in the process.

By applying some personal "gauges" to my life and practicing gratitude, I’ve been able to find balance between my passions—running, podcasting, and other pursuits. My hope is to share some of my "growth opportunities" from 2024, as they may help others tackle their goals in a more sustainable manner.

This episode is for anyone who feels stuck in a rut, has lost their spark, or needs reassurance that they are worth living a life they enjoy!

  • On this episode of the Do Epic Shit Today Podcast, I chat with Rob Dalto, a rad human who just concluded his 2024 journey of finishing all Abbott World Marathon Majors (and yes he also completed Sydney Marathon for bonus points) with the goal of finishing all marathon majors in under 3 hours. For those who aren’t aware, the six Abbott World Majors are; Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, and New York City, and with the new addition of the Sydney Marathon (announcement was made late in 2024) which now brings the total to now seven.

Rob and I chat about setting lofty goals and the impact it can have on your potential even if you fall short; Rob was able to accomplish a sub 3 hour marathon time for 5/7 of the world majors.

We also discuss the Bronx Burners, giving back to causes bigger than our own, the power of human connection, where Rob came up with the concept of making his own gels for fuel (rather than buying the expensive options on the market), his recovery plans for the remainder of 2024 and more.

When I asked Rob what his biggest takeaway was for folks listening to the episode he stated that it was to never forget or dismiss our human potential; “set and go for the goal even if it is scary”.

    Listen in and get inspired.

  • On this episode of the Do Epic Shit Today Podcast, I share a few notes that I’ve picked up whilst being in the running community to help encourage others to give the sport a try.

I am no expert by any means, but since being in the running world for about four years and a few races under my belt, I hope to share some tips that could help others not feel so intimidated and feel more inclined to give the sport a go.

    Some tips include:

There is no such thing as a runner’s body. You have a body and you run, therefore you have a runner’s body. Calling out the running gear you actually need vs what you think you do. The power of the running community and how it can impact your mental space on what is possible. Understanding that discomfort is a normal part of the process.

Hope this helps to those out there who could use a little boost!
    Have a stellar week!
