After a week off of premier league action we return with Liverpool showing signs of fatigue with 3 games in 7 days, appearing to open the door for an exciting Arsenal chase. Elsewhere the Champions League new and improved knock-outs into the knock-outs(?) finished and we anxiously await the draw for the round of 16 so the real business can resume. Apart from City, England still boast 6 of their 7 European representatives, and boy does that feel good to say. Especially with their new man opening his account in a big way at the weekend against Newcastle. We talk about the relegation stinker between Spurs and United and the resurgence of Everton. Forest are felled by Fulham, and Brighton embarrass Chelsea, hear all this and more on the latest episode!

With big wins from Liverpool, Arsenal, and Forest, the red wave of goals at the end of the weekend was 14-1 in the red teams at the top of the table's favor. Everton continues their revival under Moyes, and keep them hot on the heels of Spurs and United. A big win for Wolves keep them at bay of the chasing relegation battle but just barely. Off the field the action is just as fiery, as Rashford takes Amorim's words and runs, Crawley Town gives a lifetime ban to a fan thanks to supporters help, and the NWSL creates a fund to help the victims of coaching assault cases from the 2021 trial. On the weekend eve of the second biggest sporting event of the year, we dive in deep to the real football and leave the other to it's commercial focused sport. So grab a cold beverage and join us for this week's episode.

With Amorim's divisive words in his presser, we evaluate the choices Rashford has in front of him. We also take a look at the fire at the Etihad that thwarted the team's planned player unveiling, was it a portent of things to come? On the field we get into the magical run that Bournemouth are putting on, laying waste to the most in-form teams in the league. With their next meeting against Liverpool, could that be the cherry on top for the rest of the league? Especially with Arsenal squaring off against City. We talk the tough decision facing Spurs with their leadership and finish it off with the amazing story Esse gets to tell his grandkids. It's a loaded baked potato of an episode so grab a fork and plug us into your ear holes.

No, I am only joking, it's not a bad show. But we do try to pick Amorim's word's and then his redaction apart. We also discuss the thrilling Week 22 action. Missed keeper catches, goals galore, in form team dropping big points. From Bournemouth stunning Newcastle away, to Southampton's almost comeback versus Forest, Arsenal letting 2 points slip, and Liverpool capturing 3 at the death. It is all coming to a head as we round the final corner of the season. We also touch on the MW 7 of the UCL and take a glance at the table to see what teams need what to make the next round. Join us in the fun!

We resume our second half with updates from all three domestic fronts. We touch base on the human aspects of the game with new appointees, divorces, and a brand new member... maybe not the kind you were expecting. On the field gets much better as we cover 8 of the 10 games of MW 21. Are Nottingham Forest the real deal, can Arsenal stay in the hunt, is Man City dead in the water? Find out our thoughts in the latest episode! As always, you can stream the video version on American Scouser's patreon page.

We are back after our holiday hiatus! Instead of dragging on about the 4 game weeks that occurred between our last recording, we decided to focus on catching up on the news surrounding the Premier League. More sackings, more appointments, more chaos! Both on and off the field of course. We discuss Player X finally going to trial, Chelsea's downturn, Nottingham Forest's resilience, and what to look forward to in the second half of the season. We also touch on the first legs of the Carabao Cup games and what Arteta said about the balls. So come on back, grab a cold, or warm bevey, and intake the sweet nectar that it Drinking Inside the Box. In addition to ear hole consumption, we also are on Patreon in video form via American Scouser.

Two managerial sacks on the same day last week and both from bottom of the table challengers. We take a deep dive into statistics of survival rates after firing managers in relegation situations. Plus a few match bans to discuss, and an update from West Ham United on their Jamaican striker. On the field action did not cease to amazing again this weekend, as title hopefuls, Liverpool, put in a valiant 10 man effort to secure a point, while the Blues continue their hot streak and are right on the coat tails. Man City drop calamitous points to local rivals extending the run to 1 win in 11 for Pep's men, and another massive rivalry also sees the visitors leave with all three points. Finally in the battle of old European powers revival, Nottingham Forest pull a big comeback against Villa to win at home. Come join us as we gear up for the most magical time to be an English football supporter! With games coming thick and fast, we could be podding 4 match weeks from now! Merry Christmas to all our loyal DITBoxers! And may you put the BOX in everyone's Boxing Day.

We are coming to you fresh from the Spurs Chelsea game. With Gordon's travel schedule interfering with regulars programming we did not want to leave you wonderful listeners high and dry when such a wild weekend was afoot. Thus we figured it would be great to give you all another early gift! We touch on some sad stories regarding West Ham's Antonio, and Man United's Kath. We laugh at Ashworth's dismissal, and contemplate all things Merseyside Derby. Once again we were treated to some goal fests and despite not being able to speak on two games, we still eclipsed 30 goals this weekend. On field action included, City and Arsenal dropping points, Chelsea ruling Spurs, and some late late action in the Leicester -Brighton game and the Ipswich-Bournemouth game. With their late comeback win, Bournemouth set an EPL record. Are Chelsea contenders? Are we happy the Merseyside Derby was postponed? Will Kelly and Gordon get any sleep tonight? Find out on this week's episode! As always for exclusive video follow us on Patreon via American Scousers.

Two match weeks in 6 days, where do we find the time?! Not to mention the amount of goals we witnessed in the events that brought us into the month of December. If this is a portends of things to come, we are in for a WILD busy season. Off the pitch we touch on Ruud taking the helm at Leicester, the arm band controversy, the FA Cup third round and a new law because of Arteta. On the field we try to cram 20 matches and all the goals into a regular podcast. If you're in the mood for no stop, speed review, this episode is for you. Chelsea's re-emergence, Man City's poor form, Liverpool's slight wobble, Arsenal's big week, and Everton's "honor's even" week losing 4-0 then winning 4-0. If West Ham still have a manager by the time this comes out Friday morning, we'll buy everyone a drink!

Yes, you're getting this late on a Wednesday, but this is our "We Are Thankful For You!" gift for Thanksgiving. We know many of you travel so we wanted to give you something to listen to before you brace yourself for the wonderful political discussions you're going to have with your Uncle Ronnie. Anyways, we catch up where we left off after international break as well as dig into another exciting, table defining weekend of EPL action in meal form. We begin with the appetizers, MW 12 gave us a couple of shockers, some corrected themselves, some remained shockers. We talk Grandma's secret recipe of Pep's wild comments on self harm, Auntie Marie's 3 bean casserole of Salah contract talks, Dad's famous Cooper's firing, and a little side of BBC's Women Footballer of the Year. In the main course on field variety, we dish out the ham with Tottenham's 4 goal thrashing of a wery City, the deep fried turkey of Southampton's valiant effort against Liverpool, and, for the vegetarians, Amorim's lack luster first outing at Ipswich. Don't fill up yet though as desert is our discussion on West Ham and Newcastle's elevator game. So loosen that belt, find a comfy chair, and chow down! Happy Thanksgiving DITBoxers!

This week we begin with the bombshell new of David Coote's rant and Drug use... or "I told you so" moment if you have supported Liverpool over the years. We discuss what we think will come of the Coote's Snoot antics and what repercussions it will have on the PGMOL. We dive into the Women's Champions League round, the slanted pitches up North, and some Match Week 11 stats compared to previous years. All that is just the foundation for the actual action on the pitch, in which City and Pep have now dropped four in a row, and Arteta winds up on the floor after throwing his pacifier out of the crib. Kelly forgets about a bicycle kick, which tells you how much action took place. Maybe that, or maybe it was because she had to stomach the complement she paid to Pickford's 6 save shut out. We didn't git the 30 goal threshold this weekend but we were treated with a weekend full of beauts. From Harry Wilson's Burt the Chimney Sweep's flick that inspired a very very late comeback, to Isak jumping into the stratosphere to put the Magpies ahead early we saw it all. The EPL action was also squeezed nicely between Carabao and European action to make us wonder what we ever do when the season ends. Despite hardly having a breather, plenty happened off the pitch, Kudus suspension was extended, Mendy got a fat pay check, and the Women's game is once again shadowed by the Men's. So come on out of your "Dark Place" Bernardo and crack open a cold one with friends to discuss the wild wins and losses from Match Week 10 and Champions League week 4. As always, you can find our video versions on American Scouser's Patreon page!

With the big news that United have parted ways with a man they just extended in the summer, we couldn't miss the opportunity to bash away. We also discuss the drama of men not getting an award and throwing a fit, and the return of Arsene Wenger from the grave, just in time for Halloween. We do eventually get into the action of the weekend, which was chalk-full of very late, game deciding goals (6 in total, all of which affected points totals). From the lonely, bubble laden, stare of Ten Hag, to the Beto goal eruption, we cover it all. Palmer comes up big for Chelsea, and Salah delivers the good to save Liverpool, who could ask for more?

Week 8 action brought us tantalizingly close to the 7th week with 30 or more goals but fell short by one. There were a few goals chalked off and one missed PK so maybe that did it. We did, however, see 5 red cards, which means we paid for it in drinks. This week we break down the scrappy Liverpool vs Chelsea fixture, Bournemouth collect a tough three points, and the meltdown at Tottenham. Can't forget Champions League either, or Pulisic's Olimpico goal. We question Southampton's existence, and get an update on Tuanzebe's thumb. Join us with a heavy pour as we discuss the red laced weekend!

International break has finished but without any Premier League action, we turn to the headlines to carry the show. From Arsenal's Women's ruthless departure, to Grandpa Alex getting the boot, we covered the big news of the week. Don't forget the greatest generation rolling in the graves finding the three lions appoint a German to coach the national team. We touch on the Poch honeymoon crash and burn, as well as the rising concern of young players increasingly becoming sidelined with injuries. Come for the football talk stay for the snake daddies, the national park, and halloween banter. Finish the break week with a relaxing episode as we all prepare for the action to return to England this weekend. Don't forget to catch the video version at https://www.patreon.com/americanscouser

Wait, international break again?! Never fear, we are here to fill your brain with all the best memories of Match Week 7 to help you forget that another pointless weekend is upon us before the end of October. We dive into the 5 week out of 7 in which 30+ goals were scored, yet this week we hit that threshold with 6 teams not registering a goal! Insanity, if you ask us. We discuss the dangers of doing your own dishes, Klopp back in action, Pep performing community service to Fulham's new man, and of course Poch living his very American existence in full view. And that doesn't even touch the actual on field action we witnessed. So crack a cold one, and drink away the international break weekend with us. Don't forget, you can catch the video versions with the salacious USMNT training sesh photos... if you're into middle aged men pretending to be on the set of Saved By the Bell.

If they keep scoring all these goals every week we are going to have to extend the show to 90 mins! Looking at you Cole. This week we dive into the madness of the 34 goal weekend. The most so far this season and the 3rd out of 6 over 30. We begin life without Rodri, discuss the almost slip of Arsenal and Liverpool, and the heating up of Cold Palmer despite his goal keeper trying his best to help his former club. And that was all just our Saturday, who could forget the wild Sunday?! Our happenings focus on the women's game and the two wildly contrasting Red Card calls by the FA this weekend. Grab a drink and your favorite chair and stay tuned to the end to watch a cat end our show, literally. Video version on American Scouser Patreon! https://www.patreon.com/americanscouser

Happy Birthday too meee! In celebration of my birthday AND the four red cards this week (if you count the managers) I downed an full glass of Scotch. So yes things get weird as we roll deeper. Kelly also partakes and if you know anything about us, we get chatty when we drink. Luckily for you though, it means more solid content on an amazing weekend for goals. 30 in total, and still 6 keepers registered 7 or more saves which is incredible. We discuss the fan fest that occurred in Chicago, the legal fees the EPL has coughed up over the last year, and Carabao and Europa League action. We revisit Lord Pannick, discuss the OnlyFields account where you can donate to help fill Wimbledon's big hole, and end with a big question regarding Rodri's season ending injury. So clear your schedule, grab something STRONG, and join us for Episode 12. Don't forget if you want to watch our mugs get sloppy, check out our Video version WITH VISUALS on American Scousers Patreon for as little as $1 a month.

Blame it on the moon. This one is a classic DITBox episode, the Wild West of EPL podcasts. Kelly confuses the recorded aspect of the pod with a live show, Gordon wonders if he has a lordship because he went to Medieval Times. Apart from the randomness, we do squeeze in some EPL action, and by some, I mean we JAM PACK this one with best goals and games. With so many good outside of the box goals, the EPL put us to shame for discussing the death of the screamer last episode. We toss in some free tips for future strikers and debate whether being Ramsdale or Pickford is better. Go out, look at the moon, grab a cold drink, and stream us under the Friday night sky!
-
Yes yes we are late but it was only because both of us chickened out on our original and re-scheduled podcast night. We finally reconvene sandwiched inside of Kelly's work meetings and we make the most of our hour with no Premier League games to discuss. We talk the chaos of Chelsea, the losing of Manchester United, the trial of the century, and the death of the 25 yard screamer. If you haven't subscribed to Patreon yet, this is the episode to do it on as the graphics are worth it! On top of all the off the pitch action we look forward to the UCL launch (insert Kelly singing the tune) and the Match Week 4 of the EPL. It's too early to crack a beer (or is it?) so grab a warm drink and join us for a late late early version of DITBox.
