  • Welcome to DRR Podcast 105, After a short Hiatus, this week we are back with a bang and delighted to welcome Keith Anderson to the DRR mothership, with a lush mix to showcase his sound.DJ and Timeline Music UK cofounder, Keith Anderson, was brought up the "good way" exposed to the timeless quality of Electro in the late 1980’s. Fascinated by this enigmatic sound, he bought his first two Electro 12"s; Herbie Hancock "Rocket" and Newcleus "Jam on it". This only solidified his love for Electro and he ended up buying all the classic tracks on 12inch circa 1986 and 1987. 1988-1989 would see Keith getting into the fresh worlds of Acid House and Techno. The love was there as it was with Electro. Following the inspiration, Keith frequented the Soul 2 Soul Shop in London, eventually buying ' The Dance' by Derrick May. It was during these years that Keith set out to shift the gears into DJing. From the DJ perspective, Keith's main objective is to bring the power to a mix; selecting tracks that work well together to create a powerful blend, to allow the creation of a story throughout. As Keith puts it, a "good DJ is about mixing also selecting good music” ...Keith's history as a live DJ goes back to Eurobeat 2000 at Frankie D's legendary club. It was here that his talent was recognised. He would go on to play at some of the biggest clubs in London including; The End, Ultimate Base Hardware, and Analogue City to name a few. In addition, Keith has spun the wax alongside Claude Young, Derrick May, and DJ Rush, Dave Angel. Remaining a dedicated purveyor to the underground, he is the daily force behind Timeline Music & Electronic Convergence.Track List:Snad - Goobernatorial CandidacyConfidential Recipe & Lady Tazz - This Is Our GrooveAnimuss - Sailor David Spanish - Rotor & CreamRegis - Speak to MeDavid Spanish - Hero With 1000 FacesBinny - TerraformJeff Mills - OutsidersDeniro - Pelé 4Altinbas - RadianceStephen Lopkin - NakamuraJoey Beltram - FloatersA Sagittariun - nnihilating RhythmDeniro - Pelé 3Paul Mac - 3 Steps From The EdgeJorge Zamacona - Don't You Worry (Mosaic)Orlando Voorn - Chicago ZoneTim Jackiw - Bass EquationsBasic Bastard - Rise (Detroit Dub)Ben Sims - Days Of SnowAltmann, Jakob - Od07Follow Keith's Electronic Convergence project :https://www.electronic-convergence.co.uk/Subscribe to our weekly email bulletin and follow us on all platfroms here: www.drrlts.ck.pageEmail: [email protected]: www.drr-lts.com

  • Welcome to DRR Podcast 104, this week we are pleased to welcome Rakom to the DRR fold, with a blistering mix to showcase his sound.

It’s not everyday that talent becomes so obvious at a young age, but for German DJ/Producer Rakom the evidence is unmistakable. The Bochum-based artist, born in 2005, comes from a vinyl background and boasts impressive mixing skills alongside his drum practice.

He’s had multiple club appearances as a newcomer, enjoys playing vinyl sets most and leaves a mark as a bespoke young talent and other special accolades.

Having a distinct idea about sounds it was logical for him to learn producing. One year into the game he (15 y/o at the time) wins the OFF Recordings remix contest for Drumcomplex’ track “Atomic” and appeared on the Techno Syndicate Mix Compilation on ZYX Music.

Only at the beginning of his musical journey and the refining of his taste and style, Rakom names the likes of Dimi Angélis, Luke Slater, Charlton, Oliver Rosemann and Regis as main influences for his production styles. On a personal level his aim is to bring raw techno music to a broader audience, both of listeners and makers, and putting an emphasis on raw techno music through ample curation and crafty mixing skills.

While we can’t say what the future holds for the techno scene, RAKOM is continuing his mission to combine the finest tracks to his liking into his DJ sets while constantly refining his producer chops, so a likely presence in the clubs, compilations and certainly in numerous playlists to come.

  • Welcome to DRR Podcast 102, this week we are pleased to present Dorbachov,

Dorbachov is Damien O’Reilly, a London based Techno DJ and Producer from Northern Ireland. Damien’s musical journey began from listening to hardcore and techno cassette tapes in the Northern Irish countryside throughout the 90s, to becoming a regular across Ulster’s quickly emerging rave scene. Bitten by the bug, Damien knew he needed to be on the other side of the DJ booth - ‘Dorbachov’ was born.

Several bookings followed and, with his ‘90s influence clearly evident in his sets, it wasn’t long before he was offered a residency at the Dublin hotspot ‘So Loco’.

After a move to London, Dorbachov changed his focus and direction to the studio. Heavily immersing himself into production, he realised his true potential in formulating clever and energetic live sets. His vocational background was electrical engineering and this is clearly evident in his industrial and calculated sound that would not be a stranger in the clubs of Berlin.

Dorbachov’s next move was to present his releases to a wider audience. His debut track releasing on the rising label ‘Haute’ in 2012. Several further releases followed on favoured labels such as Clutch Trax, Renesanz, Terminus Audio, and Gobsmacked.

In 2015 Dorbachov set up ‘Carbyne Records’ and released his own album ‘Free State Propaganda’ on the imprint with solid reviews including an interview in Ireland’s ’Hot Press’ magazine.

It was in 2016 that Dorbachov moved into the niche area of Live Modular sets. He took these sets and effortlessly formulated them into tracks which were quickly picked up by several reputable labels including Distrackt, Wunderblock, UKR Special series, and Room 2. Dorbachov’s talents in the studio have also spread into publishing with a remix for Channel 4’s acclaimed cult-series ‘Utopia’.

Dorbachov has made a steady return to playing out, with both his Live Hardware and DJ sets of engaging, intelligent heavyweight techno gaining popularity, with bookings across the UK including North London techno institution ‘The Cause’.

In 2019 Damien launched his ‘Carbyne Live Transmissions’ Radio Show. This has given him an outlet to showcase not only his own talent and personality, but an opportunity to showcase the talents of guests from around the world.

It has been a real show of restraint and maturity to enter the industry in the route that he has. Letting his music speak foremost, it is this that has rightly opened the door. With an ever busy release schedule, it is guaranteed to be another huge year for Dorbachov.

  • Welcome to DRR Podcast 100, this week we welcome a very special guest for our centenary episode - DJ Rush, from Chicago, Illinois, USA.

Isaiah Major aka Dj Rush is an American DJ, producer and entertainer from Chicago.

Known for his alias Major Rush, Russian Roulette and The Drum Major. Rush made
his way into the Dj business and never limited himself. He quickly found his way to
Berlin, Germany and his career kicked off into high gear.

Not only have his Dj skills and music selection moved and impressed fans all over
the globe, his songs have made such a big impact on the dance scene with anthems like “Mutha Fucking Bass”, “Get On Up”, “I Believe” and the list goes on and on.

Starting off with Dance Mania and running the gambit of most every techno label
including his very anticipated Vigorous Digital and Kne' Deep Rec.. It becomes
obvious why Daft Punk consider Dj Rush a hallmark in the industry, placing him near the start of the list in their seminal track “Teachers”.

Conquering so many clubs and events across Europe and gaining so much respect,
Rush had a chance to host his own tents at Tomorrowland (Belgium), Dance Valley(Netherlands), Summer Spirit (Germany).

Being such a killing machine, speaker beater, bass cranker, Rush likes to leave his
fans and supporters minds and bodies tingling after each set, wanting more, more,
    more and more.

Rush combines all styles of music he loves, from Jazz, Disco, Funk and Soul to
make the events more interesting and keeping the people on their toes. This
happens not just within the music but Dj Rush is the total package. Sometimes
dressing up to show his sinister alias Russian Roulette; this what make the big man
a strong entertainer and not just a standard disc jockey.

Believing in expression is the key to entertaining and success.

  • Welcome to DRR Podcast 092, for our second episode of the week we welcome Wetworks/ V.I.T.R.I.O.L. from NYC but now residing ion Phoenix, Arizona, USA

Wetworks was discovered in the mid-2000s by Glenn Wilson, who released Wetworks' first vinyl on The Infamous Punish Label. Glenn has continued to be a mentor and friend throughout his professional career. Along with many techno luminaries such as Mark Broom, Staffan Ehrlin, and other heroes turned peers.

Friends like these have guided Wetworks through carving a unique path in the techno realm. Each has lent continuous encouragement to release authentic and honest music—matching his outlook to be sonically impactful and able to be felt in the soul.

As a result, Wetworks has released tracks on respected labels such as GND, Geushky, Compound, Mastertraxx, Player, Dolma, and many more.

Wetworks tracks are percussive, warehouse, and dance floor ready and cultivated with music theory.

2019 marked the return of Wetworks to the harder side of techno, which allowed him to separate his known approach to funky and percussive techno. Instead, it allotted a newer approach to Faster Brutal Hard Techno, still keen on Music Theory and rhythmic practice, with a dash of esoteric overtone.

Wetworks is now a part of the Chicago Jaxxx & Mastoid Kollektive family as their newly inducted A&R and Creative Director.

Think Dark and foreboding with occasional flashes of colour and hypnosis.

Repart has recently launched Arcadia Audio. This new imprint has so far released two EP's of Repart's production output, showcasing his club sound, but still full of the atmospheric depth which is the trademark of his style.

  • Welcome to DRR Podcast 089, for our first episode of the week we welcome Jay Denham, from Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA.

Jay Denham is the second generation Detroit techno pioneer - musician, dj artist and producer from Kalamazoo, Michigan - city right in the middle between Chicago and Detroit. His style is a unique blend of these two worlds - Chicago house and Detroit techno, with a Kalamazoo touch. He stays true to the underground, makes the music for the art of it and always remembers where he comes from.

In 1992, Jay Denham struck out on his own. He founded Black Nation Records and launched it with his seminal "Birth of a Nation" E.P.
