Sofia Appelgren, founder of Mitt Liv & CEOs for D&I group 2Six CEOs from well-known Swedish companies who participated in Mitt Liv's CEO program in 2022 will present a blueprint/recommendations which targets boards of all Swedish companies. The recommendations are designed to help making demands on management teams to take responsibility for diversity and inclusion in practice.A second issue that the CEOs have decided to focus on is to address the situation that segregation, exclusion and polarization have led to in Sweden. The CEOs for D&I program was initiated in 2021 by Mitt Liv, to get the trade and industry to scale up their work with diversity and inclusion and reduce exclusion in the labour market. One year after the first group of CEOs finished their program, they present the results of their efforts. What challenges have they faced? D&I handlar om människors lika värde och det har drivit Sofia att jobba aktivt med dessa frågor. För att komma igång med D&I arbetet, handlar det om att skapa medvetenhet kring det först, och därefter vara väldigt tydlig med mål och konsekvenser berättar Sofia. Vidare delar hon hur viktigt det är med ett långsiktigt och hållbart perspektiv och att alltid fråga sig själv som företag hur man bidrar till ett bättre samhälle. Även om man leverar på lönsamhet, så behöver man lika mycket bidra till mångfald och inkludering.
Sofia delar att hon tror att bolag som inte jobbar med D&I, och inte tar samhällsansvar, inte kommer att kunna attrahera rätt kompetens eller fortsätta vara relevanta I framtiden. För att börja jobba med D&I är det viktigaste första steget att fundera på varför det är viktigt att göra det, och att försöka prioritera ett mer inkluderande perspektiv.
