The YSL RICO prosecution in Georgia started with jury selection in January 2023. On October 31st, 2024, the case came to a shocking end for the lead defendant, Jeffery Williams, AKA Young Thug. Young Thugâs attorney, Brian Steel, made it clear he wasnât happy with his clients' choice to plea open to the court without a plea deal secured after negotiations with prosecutors broke down. It became apparent in the hearing that Young Thug wanted to get out of custody and was willing to sign up for an extensive probationary period to accomplish an immediate release from custody.
Plus, last week, we learned that the Grand Jury investigating Sean âDiddyâ Combs is ongoing and hearing from witnesses. Diddyâs lawyers are pissed that one of those recent grand jury witnesses is speaking to the media and is allegedly âshoppingâ a video of Diddy before that testimony. The court asked for an immediate response from the defense, and we may soon see a hearing on a Gag Order in the federal prosecution.

The Grand jury for the Sean Diddy Combs criminal prosecution is continuing to deliberate. One of the Jurorâs attorney told the media that they witnessed a video of Diddy victimizing celebrities.
In one of the Buzbee civil cases, a judge ordered that Jane Doe's name be released or the case will be dismissed. I will go more in depth on Wednesday's 'The Emily Show'.
Jeffery Williams, AKA Young Thug, was released from court on Halloween 2024. He pleaded open to the court and the judge gave him 40 years with 5 served in custody, 15 years of probation, then backloaded 20 years if there is a probation violation. I will also go into more detail on this decision on Wednesday.
Logan Paul & KSI have been sued by Lionel Messi because they accused Mas + of copying Prime drinkâs aesthetic. Messi would like the court to make a decision if they infringe on the trademark and trade dress.
The prosecutor in the Menedez Brothers case recommended resentencing. I explain why, if the judge agrees on December 11th, 2024, they will not be let out right away.
Sarah Boone was convicted of Second Degree Murder after just an hour and half of jury deliberation. I will cover the sentencing on December 2nd, 2024.
Shasta County and its sheriffâs office, agreed to settle the improper seizure of a then 9-year-old girlâs goat called Cedar for $300,000 while Mark Longoâs pets - Peanut the Squirrel and Fred the Racoon - were seized and euthanized by the New York Department of Environmental Conservation. Itâs such a sad story and I will update you if a lawsuit is filed.

Alec Baldwin's Criminal Rust Prosecution is over. The court filed a six-page motion telling Karrie Morrissey that the Dismissal with Prejudice would not be reconsidered. Morrissey can appeal the motion but it would be highly unlikely why that would happen.

The Jury in the Sarah Boone Trial found her Guilty of Second Degree Murder. She will have a Pre-Sentencing Investigation and Judge Michael Kraynick will sentence her on December 2nd, 2024 at 1:30pm ET and I will cover it if it is televised.
Sarah Boone's attorney, James Owens, said that she plans to appeal the decision, but he will not be representing her for that part of the case.

Sarah Boone's attorney was dialed to a ten today! Owens derailed the Direct Examination of the Prosecution's rebuttal witness and then dropped the ball on Cross Examination.
The Prosecution then presented the jury with video, audio and images of DV which shined a light of how poorly Sarah Boone treated Jorge Torres during their relationship. This explains why the prosecution didn't go so hard on the Cross Examination of Sarah Boone.

Cross Examination of the Lead Investigator ended, and the State rested their case. The Defense argued dismissal of the case, but the judge denied it. Sarah Boone then took the stand.
After the first part of her testimony, her Defense argued there were overt acts in order to present a battered spouse syndrome to the jury. The motion was granted.
Cross Examination was very short and focused more on getting a timeline. There is a possibility that the Prosecution with add a lesser charge of manslaughter to this case.

Sean Diddy Combs requests a gag order to limit what is being said while more civil cases are filed against him. He doesnât want the civil case to poorly affect his criminal case as witnesses make so called âinflammatory statementsâ about him.
The ACLU of MA filed an Amicus Brief in support of Karen Read echoing many of the sentiments that her attorneys have made. As of October 20th, 2024, Detective Lieutenant Brian Tully will no longer serve as unit commander of the state Police Detective Unit.
New evidence in the Menendez Brothers case might get them resentenced. Roy Rossello, a member of the Menudo, came forward about being sexually assaulted by the Menendez Brothersâ father at their home. Their cousin also wrote a letter stating that he knew about the Menendez Brothersâ abuse before the first trial that didnât come into evidence on the second trial.

The headlines are saying that Alex Murdaugh settled the Mallory Beach Boat Crash case. I break down the settlement filings to get a complete understanding of what happened with this case. We are still waiting on rulings with regard to 'Courthouse Beckyâs' case.
Charlie Adelson is requesting a new trial because his attorney, Mr. Rashbaum, who represented him during the trial where he received a guilty verdict, had previously represented his mother, Donna Adelson, during the investigation process of the case. This conflict of interest with an attorney could cause a problem during the appellate process and I will keep an eye on what decision will be made in the future.
Tom Girardi is also asking for a new trial on the basis that he was not competent to stand trial during that time. Tanya McAlpin, a person who was hired by the Girardi family to transport him from the living facility to the court, wrote an affidavit explaining that he would say things and behave in ways that showed he was not aware of what was going on. I hope to be there in person on December 6th to see the ruling.

Opening Statements in the Sarah Boone Trial were presented by both the Prosecution and Defense. The State was able to get through 10 witnesses on Day 1 which is an impressive feat. Among the civilian witnesses were Jorge Torres's Bother, Sarah Boone's Ex-Husband and the apartment neighbors.
The state was able push in a lot of evidence through witnesses like the 911 operator, the assistant store manger, deputy sheriffs at the scene and the CSI forensic biologist. The defense said that Sarah Boone is expected to testify next week. If the first day is any indication of the speed of the evidence, the trial might be done before the three weeks the judge has allotted.

Sarah Boone was arrested in 2020 for Second Degree Murder of her boyfriend, Jorge Torres. She said they were playing hide and seek and she zipped him up a suitcase. Police found a video in Sarahâs phone of Jorge Torres pleading to be released because he couldnât breathe. She is heard mocking and taunting him. Sarah has gone through eight different state appointed defense attorneys. The judge said that she was going to have to represent herself due to her behavior. Boone wrote an advertisement and is now being represented by a private attorney.
I covered both pre-trial motion hearings for Wednesday, October 16th and Thursday, October 17th. The court has ruled that until Sara Boone takes the stand and establishes the legal grounds or foundations for a self-defense claim, the evidence of that can't come in. We're not going to see an expert or a witness testimony before Sara Boone gets on the stand to testify about any self-defense or battered spouse syndrome or similar.

Boone is charged with Second Degree Murder of her boyfriend, Jorge Torres. She claimed that they were playing around while she was drunk and put him in a suitcase and accidently forgot about him overnight. She called the police after she found him dead from suffocation. The police went through her phone and found a video of Jorge pleading with her to release him from the suitcase because he couldnât breathe. Boone instead taunted and laughed at Torres. She was arrested in 2020 and has remained in custody. Boone has had 8 public defenders and had to represent herself because she would not work with her appointed representation. Boone put out an advertisement and managed to get a private attorney to take on her case. Last week, she rejected a plea deal for the lesser charge of manslaughter serving 15 years.
Sean Diddy Combs is facing six new civil cases filed against him by attorney Tony Buzbee, with more on the way. These cases will be added to the federal criminal case if there is sufficient evidence. Diddyâs attorney defended his client stating that they have full confidence in the fact that he didnât do the things claimed in the lawsuits. His attorneyâs will most likely claim that Diddy cannot adequately represent himself from the barrage of civil litigation while in custody. Weâll see what the judges will rule in early November.

Lots of trial dates set, but we will see if any of them stick. Bryan Kohberger is set to start trial in August 2025, and Sean âDiddyâ Combs is set for trial in May 2025. Itâs unlikely that Diddy will go to trial in May as scheduled due to the amount of digital evidence in the case. Diddy is still trying to be released from custody and is asking to have his appeal argued in early November.
Even when cases go to trial, it doesnât mean they are done as Alec Baldwin has been learning. Prosecutor Kerri Morrissey is still pursuing her motion to have the court reconsider dismissing Baldwinâs case with prejudice. That isnât set for hearing yet. Hopefully, we will get a hearing date soon.
In a surprise move that avoids a trial altogether the CFO of Girardi Keese, Christopher Kamon, took a plea deal and pleaded guilty on October 11th, 2024, with a sentencing date not set yet.

Tupacâs family hired Alex Spiro, Alec Baldwinâs attorney in the Rust case, to investigate if Diddy has any connection with the murder. Kefee D, who is charged with the murder of Tupac, wrote a book called "Compton Street Legend" and said that Diddy ordered the hit on Tupac. He also says that the only two people who are alive from that night are himself and Suge Knight. Will they speak up?
Diddy also has a new judge, Arun Subramanian, assigned to the case which means that his attorneys can have 2 more opportunities to make their case to get Diddy out of custody. He also has new attorneys assigned to the case, Anthony Ricco and Alexandra Shapiro. Alexandra is an appellate attorney and is signed on the appeal of the denial of bail. Interestingly she is also the appellate lawyer for Sam Bankman Fried and filed his appeal for a new trial. Shapiro was also a clerk for Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
High-profile Houston attorney Tony Buzbee did a press conference stating that he will be bringing individual civil cases against Sean Diddy Combs. So far, he has accepted 120 clients and plans to file them within 30 days. He said that some of the victims were as recent as 2024 and one victim claims that they were as young as 9 years old when they were assaulted by Diddy. Buzbee plans to also name those who facilitated and helped cover up the abuses.

The evidence after two trials seems clear that Lyle and Erik Menendez murdered their parents in Beverly Hills in 1989. They were convicted after their second trial in 1996. The brothers filed a Habeas petition asking the court to vacate the conviction based on new evidence. On Thursday, 10-3-24, District Attorney Gascon stated there will be a hearing at the end of November.
Tupacâs family hired Alex Spiro, Alec Baldwinâs attorney in the Rust case, to investigate to see if Diddy has any connection with the murder. Now that Diddy is in custody, that investigation may be easier to do. It would be natural to question Keefe D and Suge Knight. I will cover more Diddy updates in this weekâs podcast.
Karen Readâs retrial has a new special prosecutor who will be paid up to $75k for the prosecution. Hank Brennan's, who worked on the defense team for Whitey Bulger, has an hourly rate is $250 per hour.
Hannah Gutierrez motion for New Trial, Dismissal and Immediate Release was denied by the judge. A decision still hasnât been made in the Alec Baldwin motion to reconsider the dismissal of his case.

The headlines are saying that one of the doctors in the Matthew Perry case has plead guilty. This is the same doctor we talked about that took the deal before the case went to court.
