  • Joe Wilson, otherwise known as The Plant PT, is a Personal Trainer, boxer and boxing coach based at Glasgow Fitness Gym and he also takes classes at One Three Six Fitness twice a week. He has been eating a plant-based diet for almost 4 years now; primarily for health reasons at first due to severe illness and then he began to focus on it more so for the impact on the environment. Despite his own plant based diet he prides himself on catering to all types of diets when it comes to his clients in the gym.

  • On this week's show we have record-breaking ultra runner Damian Hall. Damian has represented Great Britain and competed in some of the worlds toughest races, including the UTMB where he finished 5th and where there is an award winning film documenting this journey. he has broken and set multiple fastest known times, including the Pennine Way, the Paddy Buckley Round in winter, the South West Coast Path and the South Wales Traverse including many more. Just a couple of months ago Damian set his latest FKT on the Wainwrights coast to coast, a 185 mile route from the Irish Sea on the West Coast to the North Sea on the East Coast, completing this in 39 hours and 36 minutes, a record which was held for 30 years. Damian is a huge advocate of sustainability and promoting living a carbon negative lifestyle which we delve into on this episode.

  • On this weeks show, we have one of the strongest teenagers in the UK as a guest! Romi Stern-Dawson started her CrossFit journey over 2 years ago after trying her hand at every sport imaginable, she fell in love instantly with the CrossFit community and inclusivity of the space and was hooked straight away!

    Early in 2020 Romi started weightlifting along side her CrossFit training and now competes nationally. In March 2020 she made the decision to drop out of college to pursue her dreams of being a full time athlete. She has also qualified as a CrossFit coach and coaches at her local gym.

    On this episode we discuss her CrossFit and Weightlifting journey so far, including some of the records she has picked up along the way; being on the Commonwealth Games pathway; training through lockdown; the benefits she has seen through taking our CBD as well as much much more.

  • On this episode we have one of the UK's most recently qualified future Olympians Katie Snowden on the show. Just last week Katie had her place confirmed in the Tokyo Olympics this summer, where she will be taking part in the 1500 meters. She is one of Britain’s best middle distance runners at the moment and boasts a Personal Best in the 1500m of 4:02:9. She has competed in the Commonwealth Games and European Championships and has medaled in British Athletics Championships, including her bronze just last week. It’s also really great to have her partnering with HBHM as a partner athlete which we'll share more about soon...

  • This week we are joined by Scottish endurance cyclist Josh Quigley.

    Josh has undertaken some incredible challenges during his cycling career, including cycling around the world, Lands End to John o Groats, cycling around Scotland and Italy and broke the record for cycling the North Coast 500 plus many more

    He is also just a few weeks on from his most recent world record attempt which was to break the record for most miles cycled in a 7 day period, which this time stopped due to injury. He has a great story which has been intertwined with some incredible challenges but he keeps picking himself back up and going again.

    In the podcast we discuss some of the adversity he has overcome, including two high speed crashes that could have ended his life; his struggles with mental health; we discuss some of the cycling challenges he has undertaken in more detail and what it takes to be a full time cyclist.

    Stephen Scullion is a professional runner from Northern Ireland who is currently training for the Olympic Games marathon in Tokyo, boasting Personal Bests in the marathon of 2 hours 9 minutes and the half marathon of 61 minutes, both of which are Northern Irish records. He has a senior career spanning over 10 years with appearances at World and European championships on the road, on track and cross country.

  • This week we have Great Britain Ultra Runner Kyle Greig on the show.

    Kyle has represented GB for running at a World Championships. He is a multiple national champion, was 3rd at the British 100km championships and consistently finishes in the top 5 at Ultra World Tour events.

    Kyle has a pedigree of performing highly at a range of distances from 5km to marathon and a lot longer, and has impressive PB’s, including: 30 minutes (10k), 68 minutes (Half Marathon) and 2.25 (Marathon).

    During the 1980s and 90s Fraser had great success in running all over the world. He boasts a marathon personal best of 2:11:50, set in 1984 and he has ran faster than 2:20 for a marathon on 22 occasions!

    He represented GB at the world marathon cups on 3 occasions as well as Scotland in the Commonwealth Games in 1986.

    Fraser is now a successful sports writer and running coach and is involved in race promotion and management.
