With a background in C-Suite and governance roles on some of New Zealand's most significant organisations and boards, she's built a reputation for bringing sharp thinking, genuine passion, and a refreshingly direct leadership style to complex industries.
Sheridan recently returned from the 41st Space Symposium in Colorado Springs with a clear message: New Zealand has the ingredients, the talent, and the natural advantage - but needs the ambition and investment to match.
In this episode, we talk risk, AI governance, sovereign resilience, and what it will take to realise our advantage in the space sector.

Shaun Singh is the founder and CEO of Death to Stock (DTS), a visual production and licensing platform. DTS operates as a continuous production engine, releasing 400–500 new images each month, informed by an in-house cultural research team.
Each image is produced as a cultural signal, something brands can license and deploy immediately to stay current, rather than relying on static libraries or delayed interpretation.
Based in Auckland, Shaun built DTS into a global company working across Berlin, New York, London, LA, Tokyo, and Paris. His work focuses on how visual culture moves ahead of language, and how taste, timing, and direction are becoming the real advantage in an AI-driven landscape.
We discuss:
· How he accidentally started a global production + taste system built around cultural timing
· The role algorithms play in the erosion of personal style
· Where AI is helping independent creatives, and where it might be hurting them

In this episode, Alaina, Danu, and Hamish trade their usual guest format for a freewheeling conversation about what actually mattered in AI and tech over the past year, and what was just noise.
From infrastructure realities like RAM shortages and power grid constraints to the hype around solid-state batteries at CES, we try to separate genuine breakthroughs from marketing spin including:
· the evolution of robotics (Boston Dynamics, anyone?)
· the messy ethics of training data collection
· why cybersecurity in New Zealand still feels like we're living in 2015
The discussion veers through disaster preparedness, the surprising complexity of getting robots to walk, and why slowing down - whether it's your reading habits or your AI implementation - might be the smartest strategy for 2026.
