  • One year ago, Kayla Lyall heard the words no one ever expects to hear in their twenties: it's cancer.

    Today, she's cancer-free.

In this episode, Kayla Lyall joins me for one of the most honest conversations we've ever had on the podcast. There are no clichés, no sugar-coating, and no pretending to have all the answers. Instead, she shares what it's actually like to receive a life-changing diagnosis before turning 30, navigate chemotherapy, advocate for yourself when something doesn't feel right, and live your life with cancer and rebuilding it after.

If you've come across Kayla's message that "hot girls get cancer too," you'll know she's passionate about reminding people that illness doesn't always look the way we expect. Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is trust your intuition, ask more questions, and keep advocating for your own health.

We talk about the support that mattered most, how her relationship with her body completely transformed, and the mindset that carried her through a season where so much felt outside of her control. We also dive into how her definition of success shifted from chasing titles and achievement to creating a life that actually feels meaningful.

One of the most beautiful moments in our conversation is when Kayla shares that during treatment she wrote a list of everything she wished she would have done if she didn't make it through. Now, one year cancer-free, she's slowly bringing that list to life. She started creating content, chose experiences over expectations, and recently quit her job to travel, proof that sometimes our hardest chapters become the catalyst for finally living the life we've been called to.

This episode is filled with laughter, vulnerability, perspective, and the kind of honesty that only comes from someone who's lived through the unimaginable. As Kayla says, sometimes you laugh because the alternative is to cry.

Whether you're navigating cancer yourself, supporting someone you love, waiting for answers, or simply looking for a reminder that life is precious, I hope this conversation leaves you feeling a little less alone and a little more inspired.

    In this episode, we discuss:

    • What it's really like being diagnosed with cancer before turning 30
    • Why advocating for yourself and trusting your instincts matters
    • Life during chemotherapy and how to still find moments of joy
    • The mindset that helped Kayla through uncertainty
    • The support that made the biggest difference
    • Redefining success after a life-changing diagnosis
    • Why she made a "life list" during treatment and how she's living it today

Thank you, Kayla, for sharing your heart so openly. Your courage, humour, honesty, truth and authenticity will help more people than you'll ever know.

I also share that one of my friends, Jake, was recently diagnosed with throat cancer ( esophageal adenocarcinoma) If you're able to support him, anything helps.

  • What if the key to feeling better wasn't doing more but learning how to support your body differently?

In this powerful conversation, I sit down with Meg, founder of Wise Moves with Meg, movement educator, and advocate for sustainable wellness, to explore the connection between nervous system regulation, cortisol, chronic stress, autoimmune disease, and healing through intentional movement.

After being diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis at just 13 years old, Meg's life took a path she never expected. What began as a personal journey navigating chronic pain, inflammation, and uncertainty eventually became her life's work: helping others reconnect with their bodies, manage pain, regulate their nervous systems, and build a healthier relationship with movement.

Together, we unpack the pressure many women feel to push harder, exercise more, and constantly optimize their health and why that approach can often backfire, especially for those living with chronic illness, autoimmune conditions, burnout, or elevated stress levels.

Whether you're navigating an autoimmune diagnosis, feeling stuck in a cycle of stress and exhaustion, or simply looking for a more nourishing approach to wellness, this episode offers both practical tools and a powerful reminder that healing doesn't have to come from an all-or-nothing mindset.

    In this episode, we discuss:

    • Meg's journey of being diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis at age 13
    • Living with autoimmune disease and chronic pain
    • Nervous system regulation and why it matters for healing
    • The connection between cortisol, stress, inflammation, and overall health
    • Why high-intensity workouts aren't always the answer
    • The rise of Pilates, yoga, and mindful movement practices
    • Building a sustainable fitness routine without burnout
    • Pain management strategies that support long-term wellness
    • Letting go of perfectionism and all-or-nothing thinking
    • Learning to work with your body instead of against it
    • How movement can become a tool for healing, resilience, and self-trust

This conversation is especially for you if:

✓ You're living with an autoimmune disease or chronic illness
✓ You've been told to "push through" despite feeling exhausted
✓ You're struggling with inflammation, stress, or burnout
✓ You want to understand the role of the nervous system in healing
✓ You're looking for a gentler, more sustainable approach to movement
✓ You want to feel stronger, healthier, and more connected to your body

  • You say you want more money.

More freedom. More abundance. More ease. More wealth.

But if I looked at your daily habits, your thoughts, your decisions, your relationship with money, and the way you move through life... would I find evidence of the woman you're trying to become?

Or would I find proof of the woman you've always been?

In this episode, we're having the conversation most people avoid because it requires a level of self-awareness most people never develop.

    We're talking about wealth identity.

Not the "fake it till you make it." Not buying things on a credit card to feel successful. Not pretending you're wealthy while your bank account tells a different story. Wealth isn't something you buy, it's not buy as if it's act as if and it's who you BECOME.

I break down why the popular manifestation advice to "act as if" has been wildly misunderstood and why so many people are using it to justify financial decisions that are actually keeping them stuck.

You'll learn why money itself has no value until we assign value to it, how your identity creates your financial reality, and why you don't get what you want you get what you are.

We'll unpack the uncomfortable truth that if you want different results, you need to become a different person.

    A woman who thinks differently.

    Acts differently.

    Makes decisions differently.

    Manages money differently.

A woman whose behaviors are aligned with the reality she says she wants to create.

I also share real-life examples that will challenge the stories you tell yourself every day.

Including a simple example from the service industry that reveals scarcity thinking in action: are you making choices because they're truly aligned with the person you want to be or simply because they're free?

And we'll talk about one of my favorite examples from Vanderpump Rules.

The moment Lisa Vanderpump hands Stassi her credit card to buy supplies for an event. Stassi's excitement immediately jumps to shopping. Lisa's response.. stuck with me when I first watched this episode. Lisa Vanderpump the business woman and legend that she is checks her credit card statement. Why does that matter?

Because people have confused wealth with avoidance.

They think being rich means not having to look at your bank account, not checking your credit card statements, not paying attention. Not being involved.

But real wealth isn't built through detachment. It's built through awareness.

Lisa can afford to hand someone her credit card because she's the kind of woman who knows exactly what's happening with her money. She doesn't ignore it. She has a relationship with it.

The wealthiest version of you isn't careless.

    She's conscious.

    She's responsible.

    She's disciplined.

    She's aware.

And if that version of you feels far away, this episode might reveal exactly why.

If you're tired of waiting to feel wealthy and you're finally ready to look at the patterns, behaviors, beliefs, and identities standing in the way, this episode is for you.

    The question is:

Are you willing to see what you've been avoiding?

  • What happens when you stop entertaining backup plans and fully commit to your vision? In this episode, we dive into the mindset of being completely locked in on your goals, the kind of stubborn belief that refuses to fold when obstacles, fear, or outside opinions show up.

Using a real-life story about booking a flight during the Air Canada strike last year, I break down how unwavering belief and unwavering conviction can shape your reality. While everyone around me expected cancellations and chaos, I stayed committed to the story that I was going no matter what and somehow, my flight still took off with extra leg room mind you!

This episode explores the connection between manifestation, mindset, self-belief, and persistence. We talk about why the people who achieve the biggest success when it comes to manifestation are often the ones who refuse to emotionally detach from their vision. If you’ve ever felt called to dream bigger, stay disciplined, trust your intuition, and go all in on your goals, this conversation will shift the way you think about success and manifestation.

    In this episode, we cover:

Manifestation and unwavering belief How commitment and persistence pay off Why stubbornness can become your superpowerHow mindset shapes outcomesStaying locked in despite uncertaintyTrusting your vision when nobody else sees itSelf-discipline, confidence, and goal achievementTurning obstacles into proof you’re on the right path

  • What does it really mean to become a self proclaimed "it girl?

In this raw, unfiltered episode of I’ll Keep You Wild, Hope sits down with her long time friend Amber (aka @ambs.universe) for a conversation that goes way deeper than aesthetic routines and trending habits. This isn’t about chasing the next best thing it’s about rebuilding your life from the inside out.

What if the reason your glow-up isn’t working… has nothing to do with what you’re buying?

This conversation will either trigger you or completely change how you approach your life.

We’re talking about the real glow-up. Not the aesthetic. Not the trends. Not the $60 lipstick you think is going to turn you into “her.”

Amber shares what happened when she discovered male coworkers were making 40% more than her in their first year and why that moment pushed her to walk away from corporate, even without a safety net. What followed wasn’t instant freedom… it was anxiety, uncertainty, and stepping into the unknown.

    We get into:

Why you might be buying a lifestyle instead of building oneThe simple almost “boring” habits that actually change your lifeBudgeting, saving, and building financial independence from any incomeThe truth about discipline, “self-love,” and the excuses keeping you stuckHow to handle criticism from family, friends, and people onlineCreating your own version of the “it girl” without copying anyone else

No product, routine, or trend is going to save you.

Real transformation starts when you get brutally honest about who you are, take responsibility for your habits, and start making decisions for your future self not your comfort zone.

If you’ve been feeling stuck, behind, or like you’re meant for more but not living it yet…

This is the conversation you need to hear.

This episode is for anyone ready to:

  • This episode is for the person who feels like they are doing everything right and still questioning if they are falling behind. It is for the entrepreneur, the creator, the one building something real while comparing themselves to people online who claim that it happened in months time for them and wondering what they are missing. Aka the myth of overnight success.

If you have ever felt not smart enough, not ready enough, or not good enough because your timeline does not look like theirs, this is for you.

Four years into podcasting, this is the perspective no one shares. Success is not a finish line you reach and finally feel complete. The goalpost keeps moving, the goal post is an illiusion. Every level you unlock demands a new version of you, and if you are not prepared for that, it will leave you feeling like you are constantly starting over.

We talk about the reality that it takes years to become what people call an overnight success and why taking the stairs is the path that actually builds something sustainable.

You will hear why stepping outside your comfort zone is not a one time decision but a requirement at every stage of growth. You will also hear the truth about comparison and how compressed success stories online can quietly destroy your self worth if you let them.

This is also a personal story about what it really took to build Ill Keep You Wild from nothing, the doubt, the discipline, the moments of wanting to quit, and the decision to keep going anyway without validation, without guarantees, and despite the fear of being judged. I also share why it's important to acknowledge your success along the way.

If you are in the messy middle, if you are building with no proof yet, if you are questioning your pace but know you are meant for more, this episode will bring you back to reality and remind you that you are not behind. You are in it.

  • What does it actually take to build a creative life that doesn’t look like anyone else’s?

In this episode of I’ll Keep You Wild, I sit down with recording artist, dancer, model, and certified personal trainer Dallas Grey for a raw conversation about creative discipline, courage, identity death, and what it truly costs to live unconventionally.

This isn’t the aesthetic version of following your dreams.

    This is the real version.

    We talk about:

The moment he realized he wasn’t built for a “normal” lifeWhat part of him had to die to become this version of himselfWhether talent is overrated (and what actually separates successful artists)The brutal side of success people romanticize on social mediaWhat creative discipline looks like on a random TuesdayThe boundaries required to protect your visionThe mindset behind releasing a documentaryAlmost quitting (and what stopped him)Toxic traits as a creativeObsession vs. disciplineDating when you’re building something bigger than yourselfThe wild, unhinged moves he’s made to promote his art and bet on himself

With his documentary dropping this month, Dallas opens up about visibility, legacy, and what he hopes people feel when they watch his story unfold.

This episode is about the psychology of mastery.

The inner drive that refuses to play small.

And the discipline required to become undeniable.

If you’re building something unconventional, your brand, your art, your body, your business, this conversation will hit.

    Listen if you’re ready for:

    creative discipline

    artist mindset

    personal branding strategies

    visibility confidence

    documentary storytelling

    dating as an ambitious creative

and the truth about building a name for yourself

This one is bold. Honest. A little unhinged.

  • When It’s “Just Stress”:

Cortisol, Burnout, and Nervous System Regulation with Rachel Mark, Hope (host of I’ll Keep You Wild) sits down with integrative health practitioner Rachel Mark (20+ years in wellness) to talk about what “it’s just stress” actually means inside the body and why that phrase can feel minimizing.

Rachel explains how modern-day chronic stress triggers the same fight-or-flight physiology as a life-threatening chase, leading to symptoms like headaches, body pain, digestive changes, sugar cravings, insomnia (including 3:00 AM wake-ups), low libido, mood shifts, and brain fog. She shares an accessible nervous-system analogy (a boiling pot with a clamped lid) and simple ways to “let the steam out,” like eating breakfast to support blood sugar and cortisol balance, reducing overstimulating inputs, and using grounding and breath practices before stressful environments (like a busy grocery store).

They discuss how prolonged stress can change the natural cortisol curve (high in the morning, lowering at night) into a flipped pattern and eventually a flattened curve associated with burnout, impacting thyroid and reproductive hormones and overall energy, mood, and sleep.

Rachel also clarifies common misunderstandings about hormones emphasizing they are chemical messengers responding to underlying triggers (internal and external), not usually the root driver and notes that cortisol, melatonin, insulin, thyroid hormones, and appetite hormones are part of the broader hormone picture.

They critique trendy “quick fix” wellness claims (like hormone/cortisol detoxes and single-solution supplements) and highlight that lasting change comes from foundational health practices: nourishment, daily movement, nervous system resilience, good sleep, alignment, and connection/community.

  • This episode is a vulnerable, honest, real conversation about what happens when you finally stop running from yourself, even when nothing is technically "wrong".

I’m sharing a very raw moment from my own life a night where I noticed myself wanting to escape. Not because I wasn’t grateful. Not because my life was falling apart. But because things were actually good… and I still felt empty.

I want to talk about what no one else really mentions.

I am deeply grateful for my life. I can see how good I have it. And at the same time, my nervous system felt unsettled, restless, and disconnected. I found myself trying to use gratitude to move out of the moment and to override what I was feeling instead of staying with it.

I wanted to travel impulsively. ( I know myself well enough to know that Mexico and a margarita have been a coping mechanism)

I considered drinking wine I didn’t even like therefor I would have been settling and numbing.

I vegged out with TV that wasn’t doing anything for me.

All these subtle ways of saying: I shouldn’t feel this way let me move past it.

And for the first time, I caught the pattern while it was happening.

Instead of bypassing my emotions with gratitude, distraction, or positive thinking, I chose to stay. I turned off the TV. I didn’t drink. I didn’t run. But I cried ... a lot.. stopped and cried again. I felt. I let myself be with the emptiness without judging it or trying to fix it.

In this episode, we talk about:

Why you can feel grateful and empty at the same timeHow gratitude can quietly become a form of emotional bypassingWhy the nervous system resists calm, stability, and “good enough”How self-sabotage shows up as restlessness, impulse, or escapeWhat it actually means to meet yourself exactly where you areHow nervous system safety is required to hold more money, love, expansion and your next level

This episode is especially for the woman who:

Feels guilty for struggling when her life looks “good” on paperUses gratitude as a tool but still feels disconnected or emptyIs calling in more but doesn’t yet feel safe to hold itIs ready to stop fixing, forcing, and bypassing her inner experience

What I realized that night is this:

When your system has been wired for chaos, peace can feel unfamiliar. And when things are going well, your body may try to recreate movement just to feel familiar again.

The shift didn’t come from gratitude alone.

    It came from self-trust.

From letting myself feel without needing to change it. From staying instead of running. From allowing gratitude to coexist with discomfort not cancel it out.

And that’s how I know something is changing.

    Because I didn’t run.

If you’ve ever wondered why you feel the urge to sabotage, escape, or create chaos when things are going well this episode will help you understand what’s happening on a nervous system level, and how to begin building the capacity to stay.

Because the moment you stop running…

is usually the moment everything starts to shift.

    Thanks for being here :)

  • If you’re in a season where everything feels heavier than it should and you’re quietly losing connection to your goals this episode is for you.

This is not a motivational talk or a reminder to think positive. This episode is about real hope. The grounded kind. The kind that still exists when you’re tired disconnected and unsure how to want again without hurting yourself.

In this episode we talk about why hope disappears during dark seasons and why that doesn’t mean you’ve failed. We explore why forcing belief backfires and creates more disconnection especially for ambitious self aware people who have already tried everything. You’ll hear a redefinition of hope that doesn’t require certainty positivity or pretending you’re okay.

This episode is for you if you feel emotionally disconnected from your dreams overwhelmed by expectation or afraid to want again after disappointment. It’s a reminder that numbness is not the end of desire it’s protection. And that real hope isn’t loud or dramatic it’s quiet steady and rooted in staying with yourself.

    Inside this episode you’ll hear
Why losing hope is often self protection not giving up
What hope actually is when belief doesn’t feel accessible
Why wanting again can feel unsafe after disappointment
How to stay connected to yourself and your goals without forcing motivation
A grounded reframe that brings safety back to desire

If this episode meets you in a dark moment let it. You don’t need to feel ready or certain. You just need to stay.

  • Expansion is not gentle. It is not passive. And it does not happen while you’re standing still.

In this solo episode of I'll Keep You Wild, we explore expansion as a tug of war between who you’ve been and who you’re becoming. Your past identity and your future self are pulling on opposite ends of the rope, and the middle is being slowly worn down. That dark, uncomfortable middle space is not failure. It’s friction. It’s the moment before the rope snaps.

I dive into why growth feels so heavy when you keep feeding both versions of yourself, and why true expansion requires a full-bodied commitment to the future you, even when it feels terrifying, uncertain, and unfamiliar. The unknown is scary because it asks you to release control, safety, and the identity that once kept you alive.

We talk about the grief that comes with saying goodbye to the version of you that got you here, and why honoring that version doesn’t mean taking them with you. Some identities are meant to be thanked, released, and set free. The cutting of the rope is not loss. It’s liberation.

If you’re in the in-between, the liminal space, the place where nothing feels settled and everything feels raw, this episode is for you. Expansion demands your attention, your energy, and your devotion. And whichever identity you feed is the one that wins.

This is an episode about transformation, nervous system expansion, identity shifts, and becoming the version of you that can hold more, be more, and experience what you desire.

  • In this episode, I sit down with Lauren Pederson, Miss British Columbia Canada 2025, for an honest conversation about fear, pressure, and mental health advocacy.

Lauren shares the hurdles she faced this year, including navigating public expectations and a frightening experience where she was followed to her car a moment that reinforced her mission to help make Canada safer for woman and girls.

As a youth advocate, mental health supporter, Child and Youth care student and founder of The Inspire Initiative, Lauren talks about using her platform to uplift young people, support women, and create meaningful community change. We also discuss healthy habits, managing self-doubt, staying authentic under pressure, and what it truly means to feel like yourself.

This episode is full of real girl- talk energy, reflection, and encouragement for anyone navigating confidence, self-worth, personal growth, and mental wellbeing.

Lauren also shares what she’s protecting and continuing to build as she looks ahead to 2026 and her future in counselling psychology and nonprofit work.

  • If you’re into personal growth, nervous system healing, manifestation, or mindset work but still feel stuck, unmotivated, or frozen this episode is for you.

This is not a how-to podcast.
You don’t need more information. You already know what to do.

What you might not realize is that what you’ve been calling trusting the timing or integration could actually be your nervous system staying in freeze after disappointment, unmet expectations, or feeling like you failed.

In this personal episode, I share how I recognized that waiting for clarity, safety, or the “right time” wasn’t expanding me, it was protecting me. After things didn’t go as planned, my nervous system stopped feeling safe to desire, to move, or to try again. And instead of addressing that, I tried to do more of a checklist.

If you feel stuck despite having clarity…
If motivation disappeared after things didn’t work out…
If you’re self-aware but still not moving forward…
If you’re tired of doing “all the work” and wondering why nothing’s shifting…

    This episode will land.

We talk about nervous system freeze, self-sabotage that doesn’t look like self-sabotage, why knowledge doesn’t equal action, and the truth about why desire shuts down after disappointment.

This is a reminder, not a lesson.
    A call-out, not a strategy.

You’re not stuck because you’re incapable.
You’re stuck because your body learned it wasn’t safe to move.

And remembering who the fuck you are is the first step out.
