Kia ora and welcome to "Grief Centre with Indigenuity on Mondays." I use the word grief but I mean many other things. Like anger, sadness, loss, trauma, being stuck, frightened. The hole. Disassociation - disconnecting from yourself mometarily is not 'sexy' these days where everything is about vulnberability and connection. However...it's a pragmatic tool that has helped me to be able to overcome overwhelm, loss and messy situations to buy my own houses for my kids.𝘛𝘰𝘥𝘢𝘺, 𝘸𝘦 𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘩𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘻𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘨𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘧 𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘴𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘦. Aonga Ake e te whaanau. Today is Monday, we make space for our grief, anger, resentment. You know, the kind of experiences that have been holding us back on our journey. Today I discuss the origins of why I started Grief Centre on Mondays. It's probably not what you think. It was actually about how I managed to keep myself calm amongst other people's bull kaka, greed and behaviour. In particular how whaanau behaved around land, whenua, trusts and money. Paru, sad, bad behaviour.
I discuss how being stuck looked in my experience and the approach that has given some peace for my whaanau.

Every property I've ever bought, the finance journey was filled with 9 x NO, and 1 x Yes right at the end. This is normal. Practise Hope so that you don't give up. Our Tūpuna (ancestors) carry their own mamae (grief), and sometimes we inherit a portion of it. Today, we explore the mamae we've inherited and how it impacts our lives. By acknowledging and understanding this inheritance, we can embark on a journey of healing and liberation.

𝗔𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗲 𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝗮𝗻𝗮𝘂. "On Wednesdays, We Practise Hope," where we cultivate and nurture the flicker of hope within you until it blazes into an unstoppable flame. In this episode, we touch on the power of consistent practice and resilience because 𝗛𝗢𝗣𝗘 doesn't always come naturally at first. Most of the last few years has been believing in something that did not exist in my day to day...happiness. But just practising the feeling, that there is something around the corner, eventually it arrives. Just like muscles that grow with training.

On Fridays, we make space for creativity. You don't always have to be doing crafts - sometimes just about play or experiencing freedom. Taking back control or the feeling of control over your life. Even if it is just a few minutes or an hour of your week. And from that feeling of freedom and play, that feeling is actually wealth. If we learn what it feels like, it starts to become more and more present in our life - after that the money is easy.

On Wednesdays, we practise hope. We take the small flame of hope, we grow it until it's abundant. We do this because Hope is a behaviour, a practise. It doesn't always come naturally. So by having a practise where every Wednesday we think and associate ourselves to hopeful thoughts. Eventually it comes present in our lives.

Today's questions:
What is holding you back? What feelings are you holding but need permission to feel? How will you honour everything you are going through? When do you plan for time to replenish?Things to consider:
There are 52 Mondays in a year Giving yourself a moment every Monday to address, name and hold space for your grief will mean 52 days of practise It takes practise to hold space for emotions Stretch yourself a bit more each week Eventually you will learn to unpack and off load anything that is holding you back--- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/indigenuity/message -

Today I've recorded my own reflections on where my grief, resentments and control issues rise up in my life. It's been wearing me out a bit lately. Particularly in trying to translate my annoyances about relationship money, and instead telling the authentic truth.

In essence, I want you to listen and include your body in this journey. Your body can often feel a way, but we override it by overthinking. Overthinking can take away some of the true communications our body is trying to tell us. "I'm stressed, I'm thirsty, I feel unsafe, I feel unwell, I have nothing left to give".
Feeling good as a physical experience as well as a mental and emotional one. A warm drink is about taking time; about warming up your puku - the engine for your mind and body; taking care of yourself through simple daily practise. You can join the journey at www.linkpop.com/inez

I've been doing the mahi since 2016. I've noticed patterns. I've seen the patterns in myself.
Most overspending, or avoiding paying bills, or getting in to debt appears to follow, a need to soothe oneself.
Mamae, loss, grief, anger, guilt, anxiety.
Not everything is, but before moving forward, let's double check.
