  • In 2023, the demand for overseas education surged, with a substantial increase in the number of Indian students choosing to pursue higher education abroad. Recent data indicates that approximately 8,50,000 Indian students are enrolled in universities and colleges across the “big four” destinations: the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia.Breaking down this enrollment further, it is observed that the following is the distribution:Postgraduate Programs: Postgraduate courses accounted for 60% of the total student population. These students sought advanced degrees such as master’s and doctoral programs.UG and PG Diploma Courses: A significant 25% of students opted for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) diploma courses. These shorter-term programs provide specialized knowledge and practical skills.Undergraduate Studies: Undergraduate students constituted 15% of the total enrollment. They pursued bachelor’s degrees across various disciplines. The allure of quality education, global exposure, and career prospects continues to drive Indian students toward international universities. In 2024, we will see similar growth in overseas recruitment with much broader bases and the development of a larger number of destinations. If you are planning to take higher education abroad, reach out to us at [email protected] or +919963300577 for comprehensive guidance in the process.Planning to study abroad involves several crucial stages. We can break down the process into 8 steps:Counselling:Seek advice from a study abroad consultant. They provide information about university options, admission processes, scholarships, visa requirements, and other essential aspects. Consultants help you identify the right course, country, and university based on your academic background, preferences, and budget.Course, Country, & University Selection:Research and choose the course, country, and university that align with your academic goals. Consider factors such as curriculum, faculty, facilities, cost of living, language requirements, cultural norms, and weather conditions.Standardized Test Preparation:Many universities require English language proficiency tests (such as IELTS or TOEFL) and standardized exams (like the GRE or GMAT). Prepare well in advance by enrolling in test preparation courses, taking practice tests, and using study materials.Admission and Acceptance:Apply to your chosen university. Follow their admission guidelines and submit the required documents. Await acceptance letters and respond promptly.Application for Scholarships:Explore scholarship opportunities. Apply for scholarships based on merit, need, or specific criteria. Scholarships can significantly reduce your financial burden.Arrange Your Finances:Understand the cost of tuition, accommodation, and living expenses.Explore funding options, including personal savings, loans, sponsorships, and scholarships.Visas, Entry Papers, and Passports:Apply for a student visa in your chosen country. • Think and Grow Rich is a book written by Napoleon Hill and Rosa Lee Beeland released in 1937 and promoted as a personal development and self-improvement book. He claimed to be inspired by a suggestion from business magnate and later-philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. However, there is no evidence that the two ever met.The book is considered a classic in the personal development genre and has been widely influential in shaping the way people think about success and wealth. The main theme of the book is that anyone can achieve success and wealth by following a certain set of principles. Hill identifies these principles as the "13 Steps to Riches," which include developing a positive mental attitude, setting clear and specific goals, developing a plan to achieve those goals, taking action, and maintaining a strong belief in oneself and one's capabilities. The 13 steps to riches, as outlined in "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill, are:1. Desire: Start with a strong desire or burning ambition to achieve a specific goal or outcome.2. Faith: Have unwavering faith in yourself and your ability to achieve your goal.3. Autosuggestion: Use positive self-talk and affirmations to reinforce your beliefs and goals.4. Specialized knowledge: Acquire the knowledge and skills needed to achieve your goal.5. Imagination: Use your imagination to visualize your goal and see yourself achieving it.6. Organized planning: Develop a detailed plan of action to achieve your goal.7. Decision: Make a firm decision to follow through on your plan and never give up.8. Persistence: Keep working towards your goal, even when faced with obstacles or setbacks.9. Power of the Master Mind: Surround yourself with like-minded people who support and encourage you.10. The Power of Enthusiasm: Use the power of your enthusiasm energy to fuel your desire and drive.11. The Subconscious Mind: Tap into the power of your subconscious mind to help you achieve your goals.12. The Brain: Use your brain to analyze and plan, and to make decisions and take action.13. The Sixth Sense: Trust your intuition and inner guidance to help you make the right decisions and achieve your goals.Explore the past Podcast episodes here. • This was a post on my LinkedIn profile a few days back in Sep 2023: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/drspmi...THE PERFECT STRANGERHave you realized in our lives we succeed in many things because of the perfect strangers we meet, who positively impact our lives? As per different dictionaries, the definitions of the word stranger are as under;• a person with whom one has had no personal acquaintance• is someone who has never been there before• a person that you do not know; a person not known or familiar with one • a person who is in a place that he/she does not know• one in the house of another as a guest, visitor, or intruder• an outsider, newcomer, or foreigner or a guest or visitor The moment we are born, we are surrounded by our parents and closest family members who become part of our early childhood life, until we step into the outside world such as the play school/school and so on. As humans, we meet strangers all the time, who become our friends, neighbors, colleagues, associates, partners, spouses, and extended family members/relatives through marriage, the marriage of children, and so on. Not all strangers you meet fairly deal with you. Many come and go out of our lives quickly. Some behave meanly. But the perfect strangers are those, who despite not knowing you before, treat you well, support you, guide you, love you, respect you, and so on. These perfect strangers are the positive catalysts in life, who make big or incremental positive changes in your lives. The other extreme side of the spectrum is those strangers, who behave or deal with you in a mean manner from day one, and they also have a great role in shaping you as a person. Through these mean strangers, we learn the lessons of our lives and guard ourselves from any such future challenges. So, all kinds of strangers in our lives are important, but the perfect strangers provide 10X to 100X more benefits than the mean ones. I wish every day, we could meet with at least one perfect stranger, who can bring a lot of new ideas, thoughts, and benefits into our lives and help us grow substantially or incrementally in our lives into a better version of ourselves. Now that you have understood the importance of meeting a perfect stranger every day, at least make it a point to be a perfect stranger to others, when you meet them. Because if you are good to someone, in return someone else will be good to you in the future. This is a cycle of Karma, what goes out also comes back in. I wish you met a perfect stranger today. And be a good stranger yourself to others. India Career Centre

  • 95% of time, our subconscious mind is driving us, and conscious mind is active for only 5% of the time. The subconscious mind is like a hard drive in a computer, where all the data and programs are stored and whenever we need something it provides that data or program. The programs and data on the subconscious mind are stored through our learned experiences from the childhood, both good and bad. It simply stores data/information/program can not differentiate between good and bad. From the early childhood, we are conditioned to follow rules, conditions, confirmations to live in a society and that could be in most of times the most self-limiting programs which limits the potential growth in an individual fully. These self-limiting beliefs can be eradicated at a later date in life, but with a lot of conscious efforts and habit building. Any activity, which is repeated a number of times becomes the new program and the subconscious mind stores it for further use hence forward. In this episode, I am having a conversation with Corey Butler, a high-performance coach and award-winning certified consultant from Proctor Gallagher Institute. • In India as per a study, the average data consumption per user per month across 3G and 4G networks in India was at 17 gigabytes. 4G data traffic contributes to 99 percent of the overall data traffic. The compound annual growth rate of data consumption was 31 percent over the five years. Increased online education, remote working for professionals and higher OTT viewership contributed to the data traffic growth.

  • Futurist Gerd Leonhard is an optimist and says, “The future is good”. We just have to spend enough time every day in the future to make it happen. Gerd also often points out that the future is already here – we just haven’t paid enough attention to it!

In conversation with Mr. Sanjeev Arora, we discussed about the technology trends of the future, many of which have already made their presence felt already somewhere in the world. It can be safely said the tech trends like, energy transition, IoT, Automation, Drones, AI etc. are already here and will further intensify their presence in the days and years to come in a much bigger and effective manner.

The prime objective of these technologies is making the earth a better place. Mr. Arora also shared his top 5 advice to the youth.
