  • The story of Cath Wills career and the creation of Sans Beast is quite remarkable and certainly unique. Following an extraordinarily successful and enduring professional life at the peak of the Australian fashion industry – including a stint as the concurrent Managing and Creative Director of Mimco… Cath took the giant step of starting her own accessories brand from scratch – Sans Beast. Launched in 2018, Sans Beast – literally meaning “without beast” is an ethical brand that makes its super stylish products without using animals.

    Sans Beast has been a massive hit with animal slash fashion lovers everywhere – and you’re likely to have spotted a Sans Beast branded strap in the coolest parts of town. Being at the front of an important movement has certainly added complexity to the start-up phase of her business – but Cath wouldn’t have it any other way. In addition to running her fast-growing business – Cath finds the time to mentor other entrepreneurs – I’ve been lucky enough to benefit from her wisdom from time-to-time. Today we’ll talk about her career beginnings, how she balances the ethical with the commercial at Sans Beast and find out where her work has taken her around the world and how she likes to travel.
