In this episode Saul and Andrew speak with Jarrod Wheatley OAM about his work in challenging the status quo in the out of home care sector and showing what’s possible when you prioritise connection over protection with children in care.
Jarrod is the founder and CEO of Professional Individualised Care (PIC). Most recently, Jarrod has co-founded the Centre for Relational Care (CRC) to achieve foundational policy, legislative and regulatory changes to the NSW child protection and out of home care system. For this work, Jarrod was named NSW Youth Worker of the Year (2014), NSW Young Australian of the Year (2019) and in 2022, was awarded the Order of Australia Medal.

Leading to Learn is a podcast that seeks to understand the dynamics of leadership and leadership development within todays complex world. Saul Brown and Andrew Williams are two Australian based leadership scholars and practitioners who are fascinated in the role that leadership plays in social systems change. They work in their own leadership development practices and jointly at AGSM, University of New South Wales.
