  • Could the right agent help you earn more, protect your name, and say yes to better brand opportunities? In this episode of Master the Media, Amy Gorin sits down with Blair Taylor, owner of Taylor Talent Services, to talk about what healthcare professionals should know before signing a TV, commercial, or brand deal. Blair shares how doctors, dietitians, physical therapists, and other medical experts can get paid for spokesperson work, digital campaigns, commercials, and long-term partnerships. He also explains why the contract matters just as much as the paycheck, from usage rights and exclusivity to insurance, deposits, and deal length. This conversation is a helpful look at when an agent makes sense, what fair pay can look like, and why media training can give you a real edge.

Blair Taylor is the owner and CEO of Taylor Talent Services, where he represents on-camera talent, product experts, celebrities, news reporters, and medical professionals for commercials, endorsements, brand partnerships, and media opportunities. With more than two decades in the entertainment industry, Blair has worked on national and international campaigns for major brands, including McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, Chevy Trucks, and Verizon. His experience includes more than 6,500 commercial bookings and over 1,500 direct response and endorsement contracts. Blair has also built a strong focus in the medical space, helping doctors and healthcare experts connect with brands, production companies, and paid spokesperson opportunities. His work with Dr. Phil’s production company and The Doctors helped shape his path into representing medical experts for TV, digital campaigns, commercials, and long-term brand partnerships.

  • Ever feel like you want to start a podcast… but your brain keeps coming up with 100 reasons not to? You are not alone. In this episode, Amy sits down with her podcast producer, Kevin Palmieri, and talks through all the real stuff that holds people back and how to move past it. They get into why you don’t need fancy equipment, how podcasting actually makes you money (hint: not the way you think), and why just getting started matters more than being perfect. Kevin also shares how to stand out, be memorable, and turn podcasting into real opportunities. If you’ve been overthinking this as Amy did for a year, this is your sign to just go for it.

Kevin Palmieri is a podcast coach, producer, and co-founder of Next Level University, where he helps people grow their shows and turn them into real opportunities. After reaching a low point in his mental health while working a high-paying but unfulfilling job, he made a major shift into podcasting and personal growth. Since then, he’s recorded hundreds of episodes, worked with clients around the world, and built a business focused on consistency, mindset, and taking action. He’s known for keeping things real and helping people start before they feel ready.

  • What would you do if doctors told you there was nothing you could do about your health risk? In this episode of Master the Media, Amy sits down with Dr. Simran Malhotra as she shares her powerful story. She talks about learning she had the BRCA1 gene, which greatly raises the risk of cancer, and how that moment changed her life. While caring for very sick patients, she began searching for ways to protect her own health. That search led her to lifestyle medicine, mindset work, and eventually media opportunities. Dr. Simran explains how sharing her story online opened doors to brand partnerships, media features, and a new kind of career. Most importantly, it helped her earn income, reach millions with trusted health advice, and spend more time with her family.

Dr. Simran Malhotra is a triple board-certified physician in internal medicine, hospice and palliative care, and lifestyle medicine, as well as a certified health and wellness coach. She trained at Johns Hopkins and spent many years caring for seriously ill patients, which shaped her passion for prevention and whole-person health. After learning at age 26 that she carries the BRCA1 genetic mutation, which greatly increases the risk of breast and ovarian cancer, she became deeply interested in lifestyle medicine and the role everyday habits play in long-term health. Today, Dr. Malhotra shares evidence-based guidance on nutrition, mindset, and healthy living, helping people lower disease risk and improve their quality of life.
