Jack P. Wheeler III was a well respected government worker. He retired in the mid 2000s after working some very high profile positions. But then, in retirement, he didn’t fully retire, working as a defense contractor for the Mitre Corporation.
While living between Delaware and DC, Jack and his wife spent the holidays in NYC, but before the New Year, Jack returned to work doing some last minute things.
Sadly though, Jack was found dead in a landfill. His case is still unsolved.

On September 11, 2007, 9-year Matthew dialed 911 to report the murder of his mother, Tracy Burke, and grandmother, Karen Comer. The murder investigation would lead detectives to Tracy’s estranged husband, Army Sergeant Brent Burke.
He would face 5 trials for the homicides.

In 2001, when PFC Amanda Gonzalez was found dead in her barracks room on Fliegerhorst Kaserne - she was 4 and a half months pregnant with a baby girl. There were a few rumors about the possible suspect, but Amanda’s case remained cold for decades, despite a reward of up to $125,000 for information leading to an arrest. And then, in 2023, there was an arrest and while the arrest surprised many, the suspect was in law enforcement’s purview from the very beginning, they were just waiting for DNA technology to improve.
Join Margot as she discusses Amanda Gonzalez’s cold case and the 2023 arrest of Army veteran Shannon Wilkerson, who was subsequently charged with her murder. Wilkerson’s federal trial is scheduled to begin on April 8, 2024. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

On October 22, 2023, 30-year old Breanne Pennington, mother of 4, was gunned down in her bed, while her kids were in the next room. When authorities searched for Breanne’s husband, they found evidence that he fled the home minutes before his kids knocked on a neighbor’s door asking for help.
Since Breanne’s death, Massachusetts police have been on the hunt for 33-year old Aaron Pennington, an Air Force veteran and former Raytheon employee - who has been charged in Breanne’s murder. His car was found the day after the murder in the woods, and authorities are focusing their search in that area. The search ceased from November 2023 until early 2024, where police picked up the search.
Authorities believe that Aaron Pennington walked into the woods and either took his own life or maybe died from hypothermia - but until his body is found - authorities are believing he is still alive.

Aaron Pennington is considered armed and dangerous.

On October 9, 2020, James “Jamie” Faith was gunned down while he walked through his suburban neighborhood in Dallas, Texas with his wife, Jennifer Faith.
