  • Mockbusters comes of age this week as we wade through the emotional depths and hormonal highs of Teen Drama.

Presiding over all this angst, from across the pond we're joined by actor, playwright and poet - the multitalented Nicole Varona! We chat with Nikki about her debut play Bit Of Sunshine, her favourite teen flicks and how poetry is making a comeback in the internet age.
Just like a teenage mood, things get emotional in more ways than one with this week's trailers. One of the boys makes a heartfelt offering, and the other ruthlessly breaks them in an incredibly contentious episode.
Turn up your iPod Classic to hear an unexpected type of teenager, Michael Gambon's star casting, witness protection and loads and loads of Virgins.

  • On the fifth episode of Season 2, the dark underbelly of Mockbusters is revealed as we delve into the grimy streets of Investigative Drama/True Crime.
And who better to lead us through the dark alleys than the masterminds behind the smash hit investigative podcasts Finding Drago & Finding Desperado - it's Cameron James & Alexei Toliopolous!
Cam & Alexei take time out of their busy schedule searching for elusive author Todd Noy and tracking down world record holder Lord Sidney Ling, to pass judgement on two equally compelling cases - our trailers!
We catch up with the boys about what really goes into creating a break out hit, spending time on online forums and all four of us get bogged down in some dubious corporate sponsorship.

So follow the trail of evidence, with clues along the way including a directorial mash up, a lethal brass instrument and Pez dispensing the true justice.

From Moneyball to Million Dollar Baby, from Rocky to Real Steel - the genre of sports drama has long been iconic in the world of film, and the boys are sure to uphold that standard with their offerings.

We talk with Joe about his favourite sports films, the madness that is Regular Features and Joe marvels at a flawless freestyle rap from a sporting legend.

Mockbusters returns with a brand new season, new guests and a whole new world of potential trailers.
Jack & Matt are back to kick off the new season with the timeless genre of Period Drama, and they're joined by an incredibly exciting guest. He holds the title of 'Host of the First Ever Podcast Jack Listened To' - it's the incredible Mr Olly Mann!
Host of such groundbreaking podcasts as Answer Me This!, The Modern Mann, The Week Unwrapped, The Media Podcast, Four Thought & The Guardian's Tech Weekly, Olly is an expert of the medium as well as being a columnist, radio presenter and self confessed lover of musical theatre.
We talk to Olly about what's been scratching the theatre itch for him over lockdown and how the world of podcasts has changed since Answer Me This! hit the scene back in 2007.
Afterwards, it all descends into a bit of a bloody mess as we delve into the world of Period Drama, and the boys producer requests complicate things slightly.
From Historical inaccuracies, to androids, to the origins of a modern sanitary product, who will be awarded the title of first Mockbuster of Season 2?

  • It's here. The chilling moment of reckoning. After Episode 10 brought things level, the score will be settled in this tiebreaker Halloween special.
This week, the boys will be picking from within the Halloween genre and things get terrifyingly tense as the overall winner is decided.

Our guest judge this week is the wickedly talented Sara Lynam. Sara has real spooky pedigree as one of the creatives behind Horror theatre group Uncanny Collective.

Join us as we descend through the realms of demons, monstrous creatures and the biggest horror of them all: borderline plagiarism.

  • In the final episode of Mockbusters Season 1, the films may be in Black & White but the final result certainly isn't, as the boys venture into the smoky backstreets of Film Noir.
In a Mockbusters first, we are joined this week by our first returning judge, the timelessly charming Tiffany Clare!
With some chaotic producer behaviour, our first ever real life sequel and more pigs than you can shake a stick at, this is sure to be the ointment to your autumn blues (or should that be oinkment?).
Who will Tiffany choose as this week's Mockbuster? Will the final result be taken to an agonising draw? Will someone take home the inaugural Season 1 trophy?
    IT'S TIME TO FIND OUT.

This week, the boys have probably their hardest combination of titles and genre to date.
As they take a foray into the world of the Wild West, things take a turn for the dirtier and greasier as an unexpected result leaves one of our hosts irate.
