We're finishing up the MOD.Cast season with an episode of FuturePod, interviewing MOD.'s own Dr Kristin Alford.
Kristin is a futurist and engineer, the Director of Insitu Foresight and the inaugural Director of MOD., the Museum of Discovery at the University of South Australia. The museum's immersive experiences sit at the intersection of art and science. Designed for young adults, they showcase how research and innovation shapes our understanding of the world and informs our futures.
In this episode, Kristin describes how she uses foresight frameworks and methods in the creation of exhibits for young people, using levels of adult development to design content that is relevant for both children and young adults.
Interviewed by: Amanda Reeves

In this season of MOD.Cast we're getting up close.... really close. We have teamed up Radio Adelaide and UniSA Journalism students to explore the underlying themes of our online exhibition UP CLOSE.
We'll put humanity under the microscope and look at how things within us, on us, and around us influence our personal and shared experiences. We'll consider what drives our responses to touch, humour, relationships and our environment, and look at how our connections with machines will augment and enhance our lives into the future.
MOD.Cast Season 4 was produced by UniSA journalism students Elise Graham and Ayla Liebenberg. The Senior Producer for this series is Sarah Martin at Radio Adelaide Podcast Works. Music featured in this season is Hedda Gabler, by South Australian musicians, Zephyr Quartet.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit humanity in late 2019 we suddenly realised that the systems that hold us together are fragile.
Our understanding of what is 'essential' has changed dramatically and we've had to find new ways to work, study and create... to be together while apart, take care of ourselves and others... and find ways to build a similar but different world.
In this MOD.CAST episode we explore resilience and how revisiting history as well as observing members in our broader community may demonstrate how we may be able to emerge stronger and more resilient after having our worlds turned upside down.
