  • Jim returns from holiday to join Rich and discuss all the action from Assen. They cover the news of riders and what teams they will be racing for next year. The other major news of note is that Yamaha will be the sole supply of new Moto3 bikes based on the R7.

The racing action was as action packed as ever and the Moto3 race was won by Quiles with a great outside move at the chicane. With this win it seems like Quiles has both hands firmly on this championship

Moto action saw Alonso take his second consecutive pole and this time he was able to convert this to a win. The uptick in Alonso performance now makes HRC's decision to sign him to the MotoGP class seem like less of a gamble.

Finally it was all Trackhouse as Fernandez won the Sprint and Ogura won the Sunday main event.

  • This episode, Danny and Karl discuss round 3 of the British Superbikes from Knockhill. It wasn't the wet, washout we are used to but in the blazing sunshine, Ryde didn't have it all his own way. Scott Redding pulled off a great win after a red flag halted proceedings in race 3. There were crashes, controversy and an old family name gets to the top of the podium in British Supersport. Karl also tells us about his near miss at his most recent track day and Danny is back on solid ground after being with Motopod royalty for the last podcast.

  • Jim is on vacation, so this week Rich is joined on the pod by co-host Danny Smith to chat through all of the news and goings on from Round 9 at Brno in Czechia. Going into the weekend the news was dominated by the signing at last of the new 5 year commercial agreement between the manufactures and the MotoGP Group. This opens the floodgates for the long delayed 2027 rider moves. On track, the action was a little subdued, with tyre management a feature across the weekend. Nevertheless, Moto3 and Moto2 served up maiden winners, whilst in MotoGP Marc Marquez made major inroads into the points lead of the Aprilia riders, with points leader Bezzecchi attracting a main race ban for an altercation with a marshal in the turn 3 gravel trap. You couldn’t make it up!

  • Karl and Danny were waylaid with the TT coverage last week so Aragon took a back seat, however, this week, we bring you a double header with both Aragon and Misano. One of the races of the season, with Bulega in trouble, albeit for a short time. Normal service resumed across the weekend with a complete domination and more records broken by Ducati's main man. Surprise surprise, Lecuona was in tow.

Arenas dominated race 2 and is starting to open up a lead in the World Super Sport championship.

The website is on its way soon. Keep your eyes peeled on our social media and listen out for updates on the upcoming podcasts.

  • The Isle of Man TT has been and gone for another year! This year is one that will stick in our minds for years to come but unfortunately not for the right reasons. The spirits were damper than the weather after two fatalities and a number of injuries. Tributes paid to Dan Ingham and Alan Oversby sadly lost their lives doing what they love. We had serious injuries for Maria Costello, Shaun Parker, Ryan and Callum Crowe, Jamie Cringle, Erno Kostamo and lucky boy Michael Evans walked away from two big crashes. Our thoughts and well wishes go to all of those involved. The crashes in the sidecars saw the competition suspended for the remainder, meaning no more sidecar action. When the motorcycle racing was allowed to get going, two men stood above the rest, Michael Dunlop increasing his tally and Dean Harrison getting those ever elusive wins. Some records broken, along with some hearts. The island was wetter than an otters pocket, which meant we lost a lot of racing to the natural elements as well as to the crashes.

All in all, a dark and damp TT race week came and went as fast as Dean Harrison on that Honda.

A number of Gofundme pages were set up for those lost and injured, so if you can, please donate to these heroes:

  • MotoGP Round 8 came from the Balaton Park circuit in Hungary, almost universally despised as a venue for world championship motorcycle racing. In the news we have changes coming for race starts, with the ride height devices going from Silverstone onwards and grid positions being more spaced out from the German round. There was also the sensational news concerning Leopard racing and alleged engine tampering in Moto3. Watch this space on that particular story. In the racing, Moto3 ended with a nasty incident in what was otherwise the Max Quilles show. Gonzales continued to dominate in Moto2. In MotoGP, Marc Marquez and Pedro Acosta provided the main race action entertainment, with Marc overcoming his shoulder difficulties to take the double and record his 100th win across all 3 Grand Prix classes. The main race was dominated by a first turn incident instigated by Jorge Martin, who managed to take out 4 other riders and invite the ire of Aprilia factory team boss Massimo Rivola. Next up Brno in the Czech Republic, a venue rather more fitting for the MotoGP circus.

  • Scott and Jake review MotoAmerica races at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. The huge 4mile circuit built in the '50s has several long straights that produce many drafting battles. Warhorse Ducati continues to suffer a disappointing Superbike season riddled with bad luck and misfortune, Binder is now the favorite in Supersport, and Jake thinks he knows why Hayden Gillim is the fastest on a Bagger.

  • Jim and Rich are joined by Karl Hun, who just returned from the races at Mugello, to talk about all the racing action. Moto3 was as exciting as ever. It kicked off with qualifying when many riders missed their final laps because they waited in the pits too long. Quiles never could catch a tow and ended up starting from 15th. He soon raced his way to the front but almost high sided in the last corner on the penultimate and finished off the podium for the first time this year.

The Moto2 was the best one of the weekend as all the intrigue was during the last four laps. Viette was closing fast on the leaders after failing to get out of QP1. He tired his best but could not catch Gonzalez. Ortola's great ride was halted by a technical problem. Finally a shout out to Escrig who had an excellent qualifying but was taken off the track by Lopez, who received a long lap penalty.

The MotoGP race saw Aprilia sweep the front row in qualifying, set a new top speed record of 229.3MPH and wins in both the sprint and GP on Sunday. Marc Marquez returned to racing and finish fourth in the Sprint and seventh in the Gp after a race long battle with future team mate Acosta.

If possible please donate to Maria Costello recovery fund. She was paralyzed from the chest down in one of the sidecar races at the TT https://www.gofundme.com/f/maria-costello-mbe-road-to-recovery

  • Karl and Danny review Round 5 of World Superbikes at Most in the Czech Republic and Round 2 of the British Superbikes at Donington Park. There were changes and surprises within WSBK and BSB but these were short lived and normal service was resumed with the top riders showing their true colours. Karl also surprises us with the news that he's going to Mugello.....this is a shock to everybody.

  • Scott and Jake review MotoAmerica races at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama after spending three days at the beautiful racetrack under sunny skies. There was great racing and also some unfortunate crashes - Ella Dreher perhaps suffering the most: Support-Ella-Here. Scott interviewed Jayson Uribe (102:50), Kayla Yaakov (110:54), Alessandro Di Mario (116:18) on Friday, and Mathew Scholtz (122:04) on Saturday. • MotoGP Round 6 came from the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The weekend was unseasonally cold throughout, leading to many crashes across the weekend. In Moto3, Max Quilles continued to dominate, whilst in Moto2 Manuel Gonzales took the win to further strengthen his early hold on the title fight. In MotoGP we had an exciting Saturday Sprint race, followed by a main Grand Prix with 3 starts following red flags for serious crashes involving Alex Marquez and Johann Zarco. Miraculously, neither rider was mortally injured. Equally miraculously were the other riders caught up in the chaos, one of whom would go on to win the race following the 3rd start. It was a race that highlighted the inherent danger of motorcycle racing, and the need to pause for deep contemplation when considering street races.

  • Jim and Rich are back hosting the show as MotoGp raced in Le Mans this past weekend. The weather, as usual played its part in creating controversy and chaos for the race teams and riders. For Jim and Rich this means rants. The show is filled with both guys ranting about cutting the length of the Moto3 and Moto2 races. Jim really goes off on a tangent about Liberty wanting to run a MotoGP race in Miami on the F1 track. This led to him also ranting on the attendance and the USGP in COTA and how Liberty can increase the number of spectators at US rounds. Rich rants on about the use of social media, the lack of coherent story telling with the Moto3 and Moto2 riders and he rants about time management that causes Moto3 and Moto2 races to be reduced in laps for no apparent reason. Oh and somewhere in this 2 hour long show the guys actually discuss the news and the actual racing from France.

  • World Superbike Round 4 came from Balaton Park, Hungary and British Superbike Round 1 from Oulton Park in the UK. A lot to cover this week with Karl and Danny at the helm. The top riders of each discipline showed exactly why they are at the top, with neither dropping any points.....however, it was not plain sailing for the current leader of WSBK, Nicolo Bulega, and a red flag helped him out no end. Oliveira suffered a huge crash and there were mechanical issues left, right and centre. We also cover Cookstown 100, the real road racing from Northern Ireland with Michael Dunlop breaking records again.

Unfortunately we bring you sad news with the death of Kamil Holan at the North West 200. Our thoughts go out to all who knew Kamil.

  • MotoGP Round 4 came from Spain’s iconic Circuito de Jerez - Ángel Nieto. Weather was a feature this year, with a crazy MotoGP Sprint where the heavens opened and one Marc Marquez rode his luck to snatch a somewhat surprise win. Sunday offered up dry conditions and masterclass races from Max Quiles and Senna Agius in Moto2 and Moto3 respectively. Sunday’s MotoGP race was a humdrum affair, with the main talking point being Marc Marquez’s big early crash and his ongoing struggles with this year’s Ducati. On next to mighty Le Mans.

Speaking of France, a huge shout out to Sylvain Guintoli, who took part in the recent London Marathon. Sylvain ran in honour of his late son Luca, who tragically died aged 6 of cancer last year. Guinters completed the Marathon in 3 hours and 47 minutes, astonishingly doing so in full racing leathers. So far, this Herculean effort has raised ~£155k. The donations page is still open so please contribute if you can to this worthy cause and in recognition of a massive achievement in both physical and mental endurance. • Long time contributor Scott Bolton joins new host Jake Rower to cover the MotoAmerica races at Road Atlanta. Scott got interviews at the track on Friday with Brenden Ketelsen (1:24), Darryn Binder (1:32) and Alex (1:42) Dumas, and on Saturday with Sonya Lloyd (1:54). The MotoAmerica series kicked off in earnest and delivered a great weekend of close racing with many exciting moments around Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta that serves up a wide variety of corners and elevation changes. Scott has been attending for decades and enlightens us with plenty of track history including a weekend in 1994 with Scott Russell and Colin Edwards. One of the big stories of weekend started at Daytona and continued in Atlanta with Kayla Yaakov showing herself to be a real contender in the Supersport class.

  • In this episode, Danny and Karl talk about all that happened at Assen, The Cathedral of Speed. Bulega becomes joint record holder with another 3 wins, Sam Lowes gains 3 podiums and Chantra's injury woes continue. The weekend had it all, overtakes, penalties and records to boot. Updates from testing in BSB, and with the NW 200 on the horizon followed by the infamous Isle of Man, the guys touch on what is to come.

  • After traveling to COTA for the races Jim has the show ready and it's a long one. Jake Rower joins Jim and Rich to discuss all the action. Jim and Jake had a great time watching the races together at the track. The guys talk about COTA, where to watch from and their thoughts on the weekend as a whole. Moto3 was a great race that was decided on the last turn of the last lap. Moto2 started off with a bang, as seven riders crashed in turn 11 on the first lap. That race was shortened to 10 laps. Lastly the MotoGP Sprint was a true thriller that kept you on the edge of your seat. Sadly the main event on Sunday was a bit of a bore. Jake got a surprise interview at the airport on his way home and Jim added in a few man on the street interviews as well.

  • Join Karl and Danny talking about all that is WSBK from round 2 in Portugal. Portimao became the Bulega masterclass. After Sam Lowes set the early pace on Friday, Bulega turned it into a perfect round, winning Race 1, the Superpole Race, and Race 2 to complete a hat-trick on the Algarve rollercoaster.

Behind him, the bigger story was who could stay closest: Iker Lecuona emerged as the main challenger, finishing second in all three races, while Miguel Oliveira gave the home crowd something to cheer about with back-to-back Sunday podiums after also taking a Race 1 rostrum. By the end of the weekend, Bulega had stretched his advantage at the top of the standings to 124 points, with Lecuona next on 68.

Next up will be coverage of MotoGP round 3 from COTA with Jim and Jake trackside, bringing you the best of the action.

  • MotoGP Round 2 came from Brazil’s Autódromo Internacional de Goiânia, hosting a round for the first time since 1989. An action packed weekend, with crazy weather, a massive crowd, some good racing and more than a fair share of chaos with sink holes and track break-up detracting from what was, overall, a great reintroduction for Brazil onto the MotoGP calendar. Its early days in the championships, but already Moto3 and Moto2 are revealing the likely front runners. In MotoGP, track conditions had a major bearing on the outcome but Aprilia continue to give Ducati pause for thought. Next stop COTA, with Jim trackside.
