I interview a scholar about the Republic of Newfoundland. I slso spent a great deal of time trying to convince the person who runs the Republic of Newfoundland Instagram page to be a guest on the show as well, to tell listeners about his perspective on what he calls “the movement.” You can see the show notes for the detail—screenshots of my Instagram DM chat with him. He started off cooperative, then refused, then threatened me, and ultimately blocked me from his Instagram page. I did conduct, however, an interview with a scholar of Newfoundland studies, diaspora, and globalization. ▬
