  • We open the show with some hilarious talk about Roman's new 3-Bugle fireman's hat, which launches us into a hilarious round of "hat talk" that somehow culminates in a full Santa Scoop outfit. We also get down to Greentree as we watch the Washington State portal QB John Mateer choose Oklahoma over Miami, which we can't really figure out with Oklahoma's offensive line. So we now debate about if we're good to ride with Emory Williams now that the biggest portal QB has passed.

The debate continues to rage about Lance Guidry's defense and whether or not Emory can succeed with a sub-par defense, and how Miami will fare if both of those elements remain in place for the coming season. And how a good season has set some unrealistic expectations for next season and how a possible 8-4 season should be viewed in the context of year 4 of Mario's era in Coral Gables.

The conversation turns to Isiah Horton hitting the portal and leaving Miami, and how the fanbase seems to be upset as he was likely only the #3 receiver on the team, even though they went out and got CJ Daniels from LSU in the portal. Plus we try to figure out what's wrong with the portal dates, and how they ultimately shouldn't open until after the Playoffs, because education has become so secondary to college athletics in the new NIL and transfer era.

Plus we go around the Wheel of Topics, ranging from the ridiculousness of the Pop Tarts Bowl toaster trophy, Biden commuting Nevin Shapiro's sentence even though he ran away with so many people's money, Cam Ward finishing 4th in the Heisman voting behind winner Travis Hunter, and the following conversation about the status of Travis's relationship after everything that bubbled up with his girl online. And we get some amazing audio of the week from Panthers WR Xavier Legette who ate Raccoon for Thanksgiving and Louisville head coach Pat Kelsey.

Plus we do College Football Playoff picks, and a wild round of Five Questions... which includes evil and twisted children, the subtle things we recognize about being a good person, alternative body fluids, our pee sector, how we feel about the lie of Santa, and uncommon things about our homes.

  • We open the show with talk of Roman's new roaster, and how everyone on the show has a different approach to cooking that style of food... Toast loves it, while Scoop says he'll never remember to start it on time. And of course, that somehow launches the debate about whether or not Cam Ward will, or should, play in the Pop Tarts Bowl while Miami has nothing on the line. Everyone falls in on different sides of the conversation, from selfish fans to what players "owe" the team at the end of a largely successful season.

Also we get into what Miami needs to address in the portal, and obviously any and all additions at defensive back and secondary are an immediate improvement. Plus we're excited to see how Mario's recruiting prowess affects the guys that might otherwise be thinking about the NFL instead of another year in college. And we take a look at the Top NIL collectives in the ACC, and while Clemson we expected, we were shocked to find out who number two was!

Plus a quick look up and down the roster as the portal kicks into high gear starts to spell out who we think we'll have back, and areas we know we'll need to go in a little heavier. Bill Belichick is also now the new head coach at the University of North Carolina, joining the ACC with a lot of unanswered questions, and we think we only see him one time because there is no way he's there for more than a couple of years.

Our favorite stories of the week come from Mar-a-Lago, as Don Jr's ex-fiance gets assigned to become the ambassador to Greece in order to get her out of the country... Kirby Smart calling out SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey on stage after the SEC Championship... and Kenny Smith bringing up Jay-Z on Inside the NBA with Barkley hilariously shuts down. And it's the RETURN of Five Questions!

  • In an effort to avoid talking about the fallout from the Canes missing the College Football Playoff, we decide to open with National Signing Day and the Canes coming in with the 14th best class in the nation. And with Mario pulling the top class in the ACC, it still feels like his class suffered from the team being left out of the Playoff.

Toast also expresses his disappointment in the fan base's reaction to the Canes missing the playoff and not celebrating an impressive 10-2 season. Roman though feels like everyone is upset because you were so close, largely because the system is rigged, and they argue heavily about the "strength of schedule" argument. Scoop says while both guys have a point, it's ultimately on the ACC because they don't stand up to the SEC, the Playoff committee or the media.

And will SMU REALLY be left out if Clemson wins this weekend? It's another example of the ACC refusing to speak up on behalf of the conference. Plus the AI OBB's check in with all the scenarios that would have to unfold in order for the Canes to make the College Football Playoff! Also our friend IP Daley checks in to eviscerate the College Playoff committee like only he can!!

Emory Williams also becomes the point of focus as we start to look forward to a future without Cam Ward, and whether or not he gets a fair shake at quarterback or if you're going to try and snipe another top QB1 in the portal ahead of him. We also discuss the Sebastian hitting on a Syracuse reporter story, debate the merits of flag-planting during rivalry week, Jameis Winston praying to be delivered from pick sixes, Rob Manfred's insane pitch for the "Golden At-Bat" rule, and one of our last rounds of Pick 'Ems for Championship Weekend.

  • Well... that was a terrible way to end the regular season...

Toast immediately wants to know why the defense failed to make any defensive adjustments after Syracuse seemed to make all of the adjustments to overcome a 21-point deficit. Roman also reminds everyone that he has been a beeping smoke detector all season about how bad the defense has been and it was ignored and sure enough burned the house down.

But we don't want this show to be a pile-on after yesterday's debacle, we also want to look at the overall trajectory of the program after finishing with a 10-2 season. That said, Roman goes OFF as he calls for Lance Guidry to be fired because of how bad the defense has been (especially in the secondary) and there were no signs of improvement.

Toast also calls out a few players, because we don't do that on this podcast, but with the regular season over he needs to talk about Jacolby George and the penalty that likely cost Miami the game. And Scoop points out that this was a game we KNEW was going to be a slugfest and what Kyle McCord was going to do, and wasted another Heisman worthy day from Cam Ward who will not win the Heisman because of the offense.

So with a look at the ACC Championship Game between SMU and Clemson, we are now SMU fans so that Clemson can have four losses and be out of the Playoff mix... because that's the only thin veil of hope Miami has of making the Playoffs. And if Miami doesn't get in we at least get to see some of our young talent play in a bowl game, unless of course we face Colorado who already said that all their guys will play in their bowl game. But the comparison of Emory Williams versus Cam Ward means that the offense will have to adjust to his style if he is indeed the guy next season.

We also talk about Gus Malzhon leaving UCF to become the OC at FSU with play calling responsibilities, much to the shock of everyone on the show. And we entertain the biggest question in the air in South Florida... have we missed on another defensive coordinator? And will we be replacing both coordinators this offseason? Plus we close out the show with a huge debate about Miami's place in the College Football Playoff and what it would take for the Canes to have any hope.

  • It's Hate Week Part Two... because the world of hate coming at the University of Miami this week is just wild.

Scoop also gets on an early tirade after Cam Ward missed out as a finalist for the Maxwell Award, as Dillon Gabriel of Oregon made the cut ahead of him along with Travis Hunter and Ashton Jeanty... and he hangs it yet again on the defense. There were also obvious snubs in the Biletnikoff and the Lou Groza Awards, as guys like X and Borregales didn't get a look as finalists.

Discussion also breaks out about how the Canes should look at Syracuse OC Jeff Dixon as a replacement if Shannon Dawson decides to move on, largely because of his formations and personnel groupings on offense. And as we look at Syracuse QB Kyle McCord, Roman has high praise for his play, while Toast argues that his time around Ohio State fans has shown him that McCord will crumble under pressure so Miami needs to bring it.

As we were taping the show, the new College Football Playoff rankings dropped... with Miami up to #6, SMU up to #9 and Clemson at #12... which means there is a shot that the ACC might be able to pull THREE teams in this new system, which is a wild reality. And this week's Keys to the Game include defensive pressure up front with the front four, running the ball between the guards, Cam Ward spreading the ball around, and involving X in his final week in a Canes uniform.

We also jump into some of the craziest college football stories of the week - including North Carolina moving on from Mack Brown, the INSANE end of the Arizona State-BYU game, and another epic Bama meltdown from our man Legend on the Paul Finebaum show. And a wild round of Pick 'Ems round out the week.

    HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

  • That's a 10 WIN SEASON for your Miami Hurricanes!!

Scoop reminded us again that, hey, everything's fine if you just weather the first half - or in today's contest, the first quarter. And now it's just one more game, where you have to beat Syracuse on the road, to face off against SMU who punched their ticket to the ACC Championship Game this weekend.

And in the case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde... should we now be concerned that the offense didn't look particularly crisp today? And we are well aware that we say this after Cam posted 280 yards and two touchdowns. Roman also gives Mario credit for pounding the run game in the fourth quarter as everyone was in awe of Jordan Lyle.

We also take a look around some of the other chaos from this weekend, including losses by Indiana, Colorado, Ole Miss and others, which continues to spin the College Football Playoff Committee in circles as we wait to see how this shakes out. Miami also showed up well on defense against Wake Forest, because one of their two scores was a kick return, so getting off the field with only one score was a big win for them today.

The wide receiver room also looks like it will have a lot of turnover looking ahead to next season, and we take a look at some of the young talent that has shown up this year and will likely be a glimpse of what's next for Miami. We also try to figure out where Miami will land in the rankings with all the losses around college football this weekend. And we debate the "SEC strength of schedule" after these SEC teams continue to lose games and still land in the rankings.

  • It's Wake Forest week! And we are joined by Roddy Jones, who will be calling the Miami game this weekend!

We open on Greentree as we try to figure out why Guidry has an "everything is fine" approach after a week where the defense greatly underperformed. Scoop is afraid that the poor play of the defense could cost Cam Ward a Heisman. And Roman is frustrated that after one bad game, Cam was left off Kirk Herbstreit's list entirely.

Roddy Jones joins the show to debate the merits of the Heisman and how annoying the race has been this year, and how funny it is that he always seems to join the show after Georgia Tech burns Miami. Roddy was also one of the only guys in the preseason to say Florida State may finish last in the conference while being ranked preseason #10, and sure enough that may end up being the case in a couple of weeks.

Roddy also breaks down the adversity of Miami's season and how the pain of mistakes and losses can set the tone for a championship mentality. Roman also picks Roddy's brain about Wake Forest, and how effectively teams have run the ball against them, and Roddy says this is the week that Miami can and should lean on their run game. And a deeper dive into Wake's offensive strategy gets Toast a little uneasy after seeing the defense look so lost the last few weeks.

Plus if Miami were to lose the ACC Championship Game to SMU, we try to figure out a road where Miami still goes to the playoff, which means the ACC doing more to tout their tough coaches and equally difficult scheduling. Keys to the Game this week include a dominating win, protecting Cam Ward, defensive improvement at the linebacker spot, running the ball and playing like it's Miami against the world!

  • It's the final bye week of the season, and it comes at a much needed time coming off a loss and it was clear everyone needed a reset. We also get our first look at the College Football Playoff Rankings since Miami lost to Georgia Tech, and Miami comes in at #9 but would still draw a #4 seed as the ACC's top team.

We go down to Greentree, which is still littered with the debris of the loss to Georgia Tech, as the national media has made a clear turn against Miami's coaching staff. Roman remains optimistic even though the defense could not hold up against a GT quarterback who could not throw the football. Scoop reiterates his point that the Guidry defense reminds him of watching the Gattis offense, largely because of how visibly confused the defense seems to be.

This week's Underdog picks are non-Miami games with the bye week. We're also pleasantly surprised to see Miami offensive linemen receive some accolades this week, especially after Pitt lost to Virginia and reset Miami's fate for the Playoff. And IP Daley shows up to absolutely level the Canes in the wake of the loss and it's nothing short of brutal!! And since IP brought it we're reminded to try and enjoy the last few games of Cam Ward whether he wins the Heisman or not.

As we look at the College Football Playoff we debate whether a two-loss ACC team would make it in, and the consensus is that probably won't happen. Which means JD Pickell's take that Miami needed a loss to get focused needs to come to fruition, and Roman believes it.

Plus we go around the Wheel of Audio, which includes Pat McAfee baiting LSU fans to curse on live TV with no repercussions, the Utah AD calling out the officiating by accusing the refs of stealing a game from them, the new Saints coach clogging his toilet the first day and the in-flight audio of the Auburn basketball team fight that grounded their team plane. And we work through a huge week of Pick 'ems, with showdowns all across the Top 25.

  • Well... that sucked.

And you can tell from the start that Scoop was the only person who wasn't on the watch-along because he was shockingly optimistic, saying everything is still right in front of you. Toast's opening rant is also directed largely at Canes fans who are folding up stakes on the season after only losing ONE game so far this year.

Plus Roman GOES OFF because of just how bad the defense was against Georgia Tech, fresh off one of the ugliest Student of the Game breakdowns he's ever done. And Scoop says that watching this year's defense is like watching the Josh Gattis offense of the past. Toast's contention remains that this loss falls on the offense way more than the defense, because they put up half of their average against Georgia Tech.

The discussion moves to Cam Ward, who Roman says was bad against GT on 3rd and 4th money downs. And how Miami left 9 potential points on the field by opting to go for it on 4th down instead of taking field goals, especially in the second quarter. Ro also thinks that Cam needs to evolve quickly when it comes to holding onto the ball because it cost him a game today and could cost him a starting job in the NFL.

We also try to figure out what this does to Miam's playoff standing, especially if Pitt finds a way to win out and we don't make the ACC Championship game. And if we do make the ACC title game, and lose, how does Miami still make the playoff? The targeting conversation also comes up after the bogus call on Moten, as Scoop says someone asked him why they don't eliminate targeting in the box, which he thought was a great solution. Plus a quick look around college football and a glance at FSU and Florida's terrible recruiting classes.

  • It's Georgia Tech week!! And sure enough this series is split evenly at 14-14 all time and Toast says that even though we're the better team, the Jackets are always a tough game.

Scoop is also concerned that the Georgia Tech offense could give Miami fits this weekend, as it's a very similar look to Virginia Tech, and Roman brings that point home by pointing out how on-the-nose Vegas has been with their spreads and this one has a high total. The Georgia Tech home crowd might not be an issue because Atlanta has not been hot for the Jackets this season, while Roman just needs the Canes to keep Tech under 30 points.

We also look deep into the defensive strategy of this team, because with an offense that's historically good the defense can bend a lot more and give up points... even though we're #1 in total defense in the ACC. Toast also wants to know why Miami has dominated the second half so predominantly but Ro is sick of praising halftime adjustments every single week. Keys to the Game include discipline, protecting Cam instead of isolating him, out-scheming the Jackets, defensive line domination and making sure we don't lose on the road.

The Wheel of Football this week covers Dabo Swinney being unable to vote on Election Day, which takes us into a conversation about whether or not Clemson would ever move on from him, Shedeur Sanders laughing off class registration, Jason Kelce smashing a kid's phone for talking trash and the WILD headline of the week coming out of Ukraine. And the week 11 Pick 'Ems are once again all over the road.

  • Your Miami Hurricanes are now 9-0!!

Scoop recaps his experience at the game as the Canes mounted a massive second half comeback, and he offers props from the top to Xavier Restrepo for breaking the Miami Hurricanes record for all-time receiving yards and receptions on a massive touchdown. Scoop also believes that Cam Ward has the quickest release since Dan Marino, leading to our latest trend #CamMarino!

Toast also has props for the team's second half response, as both the offense and defense came out as completely different units in the second half. And the debate breaks out about why Cam Ward isn't the front runner for the Heisman right now, as Travis Hunter continues to play at an elite level on both sides of the ball at Colorado.

We also take a look at how Miami's front fared against the vaulted Duke defense, who only got 6 tackles for loss in this game. Plus it was another game where the defense gave up even more big plays, something that we've been hoping they'd fix for weeks now, as they continue to surface at inopportune times in all these games. And there's a lot of debate about the overall state of the defense, including the lack of pressure up front that we are not getting.

And it wouldn't be a recap show if we didn't dance on the grave of Florida State after they got demolished again this week, and put it into perspective about just how bad they are this year and it's WILD. We also wonder if Miami will move up to #4 after Penn State got exposed in their loss to Ohio State. Toast also tries to argue that if the Canes go to the ACC Championship game undefeated then lose, there's a chance Miami falls out of the Playoff entirely.

We go through some of the other games from around college football, break down some of the better plays of the day and try to figure out if Restrepo will be an All-American when it's all said and done this year. Plus it was really nice to see the entire team turn out yesterday for Mark Fletcher's dad's funeral on a day before the game.

  • It's DUKE week, and even though Miami rolls in undefeated... this game is still scaring the guys. Because if anyone could screw up Miami's roll this season it would be Manny Diaz.

And before we get too far down the Duke rabbit hole this week, we do a post mortem on the Florida State Seminoles with some of the wildest stats of the week on FSU's decline. We also touch on the rumors that Shannon Dawson might be interested in the head coaching job at Rice, and Toast says if Miami is really that good year-over-year then you should expect to replace coordinators on both sides of the ball every few years. Plus the Duke defense looks to be one of the better defenses we've faced this year, even though Ro's not buying in all the way, but it will make for a formidable challenge for the Miami offense.

Toast wants to know if this is a Butch 2.0 FIU game with Manny Diaz coming back to town, and Scoop says the difference is that Duke's offense is garbage, which doesn't sway Toast after seeing UM struggle a bit against FSU. Roman believes that Cam Ward is the difference maker in this one, and the Canes are going to run all over Duke's defense who is third worst in the conference against the run this season. And our Keys to the Game this week include running the ball down their throat, patience from Cam Ward, the accuracy of the kicking game, using the tight ends and playing a clean game.

We also get a wild FSU recap from I.P. Daley, who levels the Noles in classic fashion. And the Wheel of Football this week actually starts in the NBA as we try to figure out where the Dwyane Wade statue went so wrong. Plus Lane Kiffin calls out the SEC for favoring LSU with night games, the WILD call of the Commanders Hail Mary from the radio booth, and Anthony Richardson's excuse for taking himself out of a game. And Trevon Diggs telling a reporter to talk about "Deez Nuts" and the Iowa Hawkeyes with the jersey swap of the week. We close it out with another wild week of Pick 'Ems!

  • Your Miami Hurricanes are 8-0!!

We open what is a celebratory show with condolences to the Fletcher family after the passing of Mark's father, Big Mark, and what an emotional and special game that was for Mark. Scoop also has high grades for this Miami team, despite the lack of fanfare from the fan base, by saying this was Miami running a state rival out of the building, with the exception of just a few plays.

This was also a game where the running game showed up big, and the first week where Miami's run game out gained the passing game. It was a big week for RB1 and the Miami ground game, and there were also some big moments from Xavier Restrepo as he closes in on Miami history.

The defense also gets some love for shutting down the big plays, with the exception of that one wild QB scramble that led to FSU's first touchdown. And a question from Ro about how good FSU would be if Cam Ward was their quarterback where they would be, sparks some debate about what that really changes for FSU. And a look at FSU's numbers this year compared to last year really tells the tale of their downfall this year.

The debate also rages about whether Miami climbs at all in the Polls or gets stuck again at #6 as we take a look at the carnage that will happen across the ACC the next few weeks. And we try to figure out where the ESPN announcers were coming from when they said Miami was "running up the score" on that final touchdown.

  • Toast survived Louisville and just got his voice back for this week's show, and just in time because it's HATE WEEK as we load up for FSU! Scoop also says the Taylor Swift was the loudest experience of his life, and Roman compares it to the UF game when Devin Hester took one to the house. It always comes back to the U...

And somehow as we start to break down hate week, it's somehow even worse for the Noles then we thought, as Miami has the second best offense in the nation while FSU is coming in with the second WORST. Roman broke it all down on a special mid-week edition of Student of the Game as he looked at the film between FSU and Duke, our next two opponents, and the film really shows what a mess that team is right now. Scoop is also floored that this is one of the first years he can remember where this game meant nothing for the Canes.

We dive deep into the curious case of Miami being undefeated but for some reason still stuck at #6, and Ro feels like it's due to the fact that we aren't an SEC team and our defense has been suspect. There is also a shocking amount of disrespect for the Canes as compared to other teams with similar wins and it's more proof that the Miami hate is back. That's also supported by the ESPN win probabilities which have all gone up significantly.

Keys to the Game include remembering who you are, not falling for your own plays against you, and compensating for our "missing" defense. And the AI OBBs show up and absolutely stun the show with a shocking round of overs and unders for the FSU game.

The Wheel of Football lands on Quinn Ewers who was the victim of a 247 Instagram hack saying he was going to sit out the rest of the season to prepare for the NFL Draft, which launches us into a conversation about whether or not that will actually happen down the line. Texas got banged $250K for littering the field and setting a standard by picking up the flag that caused the chaos. And everyone has opinions on the Illinois uniforms from this past weekend and the new caps players are wearing after concussions. Plus we close out the show with another wild round of Pick 'Ems with some great games in Week 9!

  • We open the show with a blind drunk Toast checking in live from Louisville, who recaps his drunken tear through Kentucky including Bourbon tours, $125 shots and fights in the stands. What an epic trip he got to take with some loyal OBB listeners.

And of course the conversation quickly turns to the defense who was a bit of a mess today in a slugfest with Louisville, as Ro does his best Student of the Game analysis and breaks down where the matchups failed. Toast is fearful that this team needs to have the ball last in order to win, and Scoop and Ro talk him down by saying that however bad Miami's defense was bad this week, Louisville's was worse.

Now there was a LOT of upside on the offense, as Cam was electric again with some wild plays when they mattered most. And it's more than great play by Cam, the team's success now seems to be anchored to his performance every single week. And once again fans are holding a call against Miami after Cam's "fumble" got called back which goes to show that the college football world is once again turning on Miami.

And one thing surfaced this week that we haven't had to talk about all season... the special teams, which were a total disaster on the road in Louisville. But hey we are 7-0 BABY and we have HATE WEEK coming up against a dreadful 1-6 FSU. Let's GO!!

  • It's Louisville week, and Toast is headed to Kentucky for the game this weekend as the Canes try to keep the wins rolling. Ro also took a preview look at Louisville on this week's Student of the Game and it was Louisville running back Isaac Brown that jumped off the tape as someone the Canes will have to account for all game.

We also lay out this week's Underdog Fantasy higher/lower picks after a down week last week. And Toast has questions for the crew about how important it is to see Cam Ward have a clean game, and whether this is the game that Miami leans on the running game. Plus everyone's keys to the game range from defensive schemes and improvements, establishing the run on the road, Cam Ward's efficiency and the return of Jalen Rivers to the offensive line.

This week's Wheel of Football Audio takes us to Athens as Kirby Smart has to apologize to Mississippi State QB Michael Van Buren for shoving him during this weekend's game, Jerry Jones threatening Dallas radio hosts for calling him out on his decision making, Kenny Dillingham's wild post-game scrum on the field after Arizona State beat Utah, and a round of Sound Effects with Tony Romo. And we close it out with another wild week of Pick 'Ems!

  • Even though the Canes didn't play this weekend, it didn't stop us from recapping the weekend in College Football as we gear up for Louisville this Saturday!

Toast's trip to the Savannah Bananas game spawns one of the best dive-bar stories from South Florida we've ever heard! But we quickly pivot back to college football because we had a lot of overtime games and games coming down to the wire this week. Scoop wants to know what stadium where we'd like to experience a game - Toast and Roman pick the bayou for an LSU game on a Saturday night, Scoop goes with Neilan Stadium for Tennessee because of how electric the atmosphere was last night.

We take a quick look at the Canes opponents so far this season and how they have fared after the Miami game, and Clemson appears to be renewed and a clear second to the Canes in the ACC. And we go around some of the wild games this week, review our picks (which were all over the place after yesterday) and take a look at Alabama, who barely hung on again for a close win over South Carolina. And does the Oregon-Ohio State game end the same way if Cam Ward is under center? The debate also breaks out about whose head is bigger - Chip Kelly or Mark Mangino.

Xavier Restrepo was also on ESPN this week talking about how the Canes had a players-only team meeting this week, even though they were on a bye. And we all agree that this is a great thing to happen when the team is winning, because with today's parity we see top teams lose big games even when they're favored.

  • It's the bye week show and we're still riding high at 6-and-0, and we love that the Miami Hurricanes are once again the most hated team in college football! And we relish in the hatred toward the U because everyone hates Miami when they're at their best. Toast points out that the two questionable calls literally changed the team's record from 4-and-2 to 6-and-0, but he doesn't care because both calls went their way.

Scoop also plays devil's advocate and asks us how good the Canes actually are, after struggling against their two sub-par ACC opponents thus far this season. Roman argues that we have a championship caliber offense but a very average defense, while Toast contends that it all comes down to Miami having the best quarterback in the country. And like most weeks there is a lot of love to go around for the accomplishments of Xavier Restrepo as he closes in on UM receiving records.

We do our higher-lower picks for the week courtesy of Underdog Fantasy, with picks in the Oklahoma-Texas game and the Ohio State and Oregon game. We also do a bye week edition of midseason grades - with great grades for the quarterback, tight ends and wide receivers - respectable grades for the running backs (even though they are the 16th best rushing team in the country), offensive line, defensive line and corners - and room-for-improvement grades for the linebackers and safeties.

And the wheel of football spins wildly for the aftermath of the Vandy-Bama game, including Diego Pavia cursing on live TV, the goal posts marching down Broadway in Nashville, and an epic rant by a Finebaum caller for the ages. Plus some wild Pick Ems to round out the week, and no recap show.

  • The Miami Hurricanes pulled off what could be the greatest comeback in program history only hours ago, which means there is a LOT to break down in the Recap Shoooow! And if you went to bed early thinking Miami lost this one you missed an unbelievable comeback in the early hours of the morning.

While everyone is thrilled that they got this comeback win, Roman feels like we're limping into the bye week at 6-0. Of course the debate rages about the targeting penalty that went the Canes way late in the game, and how that could have ended the game, but the guys feel like it probably was targeting and we got away with one. And Cam Ward's decisions were all over the place in this game, leaving us a bit concerned with his play in games that are this close.

The defense also gave up some huge plays which really brought back the narrative of the questionable secondary, who has been so good all year but looked very unprepared against Cal. And while everyone stops to reflect on the joy of a 6-0 start, it was clear that Cal's approach was to goad the Miami players into conflict and reactionary plays and for the most part it worked.

On the big positive side, Restrepo and Cam both had huge games (despite huge mistakes by Cam), and Scoop wants to know if Cam's lackadaisical confidence bothers the guys as much as it picks at him. And Roman is gearing up for what looks to be an epic Student of the Game as he breaks down this game film. And we bounce around one of the wildest weeks of College Football we can remember seeing.

  • We start the show as the UM equipment truck is in the middle of a LONG haul across the country to get the team's gear to California, and along with that comes a featured College GameDay matchup on ESPN. And somehow the late overturned TD from the end of the Virginia Tech game is still a narrative coming into this game. Roman also talks about Kiko's low rating against the Hokies and why he graded out so low last week.

We go in deep on our Cal preview, with a look at their quarterback (who frankly isn't in Cam's stratosphere) and arguably the nicest fanbase in college football. Cal's offense is rated the second worst in the ACC for scoring offense and how that should allow Miami to control the score. And Rueben Bain is back, plus some amazing audio of Cam Ward being asked about the Cal corners. And IP Daily checks in to decimate the Golden Bears going into Week 6!

All three guys offer up their keys to the game, including keeping control of the box, what Cal tries to steal from the VA Tech game, cleaning up penalties, and keeping tabs on the big explosive plays.

This week's wild wheel of topics runs the gamut from an unusual amount of celebrity deaths the last few weeks, Chip Kelly saying bathroom breaks are the better part of being an OC versus a head coach, Tom Brady laying the smack down on Baker Mayfield, and the perilous situation of Tyreek Hill and the Miami Dolphins. And Scoop believes it's a mistake for Nebraska to start serving alcohol at college events because it harkens back to a tradition that is dying off in college football.

And we have some fun with the biggest games of the week in this week's wild round of Pick Ems!
