Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!
A weekend full of racing that we recap the top stories from each of the races we watched. We had F1 returning to China, IMSA and IndyCar at Long Beach, WEC at Imola, and NASCAR at Dega! We think race of the weekend had to be either WEC or IMSA. Take your pick as it was a close battle and interesting strategies as the races unfolded.
Looking ahead to next weekend the racing is a bit on the lighter side but IndyCar is racing again but this time at Barber Motorsports Park where Indy NXT will also be running. MotoGP is running at Jerez as well for any bike racing fans.

Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, Indycar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!
NASCAR visited the paperclip this past weekend for the Spring race while Formula 1 went to Suzuka during the Spring time where we got to see the cherry trees in full blossom as this race has typically taken place in the fall over the last several seasons. In addition to these races, there is some racing news in the Indycar and IMSA paddocks. Prema announces it will join the Indycar grid in 2025, Katherine Legge, Connor Daly, and Marco Andretti share news about their Indy 500 rides coming up in May, and Flying Lizard Motorsports returns to IMSA to run at Long Beach with an Aston Martin GT3 entry in the GTD class.
Racing this upcoming weekend is on the very light side as Moto GP races at COTA (where a Garage56 demo run will occur) and the European Le Mans Series is having it's season opener in Spain.

After a week off the Red Mist Podcast crew is all back together at the Red Mist Garage for this week's episode. We recap the past two NASCAR races of COTA and Richmond (but mostly Richmond) and we also recap F1's trip down under at Albert Park. We also look ahead to F1's upcoming race at Suzuka! Very early in the season for this race but we look forward to seeing Japan during the Spring season. NASCAR is at Martinsville this weekend as well.

A good friend of the podcast Jake Innes joins us to discuss his young racing career. Jake comes from Long Island where he takes part in karting leagues at Grand Prix New York and also takes part in the Mini Stock class at Riverhead Raceway. We also discuss his trip last month to the Daytona 500.
We recap the racing from NASCAR at Bristol and IMSA at Sebring (all the series) from this past weekend. The Bristol race was a strategy filled race as tires were fading and fading fast. Sebring had great battles throughout all the series that went there. From MX-5s all the way up to the GTPs in the WeatherTech series.
Coming up this weekend NASCAR is at COTA, F1 and Supercars are at Melbourne, Indycar has it's exhibition race at Thermal, and MotoGP is running at Portimao.

Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, Indycar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!
F1 and WEC kicked their seasons off at Bahrain and Qatar respectively. F1 had some moments but in short it seems we've picked up where we left off from last year. WEC on the other hand we thought was fantastic! Yes BoP will be sorted but a change of pace to see who was at the front for once and although it felt odd not having the LMP2s be apart of the championship it did simplify the understanding of the race having only one class of prototypes and GT cars.
NASCAR raced in Vegas....that's about it. No three wide finish this week.
F1 has it's second round this weekend at Jeddah. A permanent race track! Pardon our mistake in the episode calling it a street circuit. Indycar has their first round of the year at St. Petersburg. Super Formula kicks its season off at Suzuka. You can catch the action of that series on the SFgo app. Moto GP is at Qatar this weekend to begin their season after cancelling the Argentina GP. Lastly, NASCAR is at Phoenix this weekend.

NASCAR has one of the closest finishes in their history! 3 wide no less! Nate and Shaun discuss the shenanigans that went on with the rest of their weekend in Atlanta.
Formula 1 and WEC have their preseason testing at Bahrain and Qatar respectively. Ferrari topped the timesheets in F1 and Porsche was on top in WEC. Both the opening rounds for both series are this Saturday March 2nd. We'll see if testing translates to race day.
Supercars kicked its season off with the Bathurst 500 which consists of two 250 races. Also the Ford Super Van made an appearance and broke the track record only a week after Mercedes with their unrestricted GT3 car broke the previous record! This is exciting stuff to see the potential of these cars be unleashed and put on rails!

Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, Indycar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!
William Byron wins the Daytona 500 and Manthey Racing wins the Bathurst 12 Hours. The Daytona 500 had mixed responses as the ending was lack luster to say the least and restrictor plate racing leads to another BIG ONE. The Bathurst 12 Hours was very entertaining from a differing pit strategies to changing weather conditions and a late race caution leading to a sprint at the end!
Nate recaps his virtual Daytona 500 experience as well!
Coming up this week, Formula 1 has it's preseason testing and so does WEC with their Prologue. Supercars open their season with the Bathurst 500! Racing season is back in full swing for 2024 and we're looking forward to it!

Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, Indycar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!
F1 cars being on track is one step closer! This past week we've gotten to see just about everyone showcase their 2024 challengers. With the regulations staying more or less the same with no major changes, a lot of the cars are starting to look the same and take inspirations from cars at the front of the field.
With the Clash aside, NASCAR really kicks it's season off at Daytona for the 500 race this weekend. There's also Xfinity, Trucks, and ARCA racing as well. Hopefully mother nature can play nice this weekend although a rain out on Sunday seems almost imminent at the time of our recording this week.
Down under this weekend is the Bathurst 12 Hours! The race will start sometime Saturday night for those of us in the US looking to find a stream somewhere on the internet.

Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, Indycar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!
Wow! Not a lot of racing this past weekend but shock waves have circled the globe with the announcement of Lewis Hamilton leaving Mercedes at the end of the 2024 and heading to Ferrari for 2025 to drive alongside Charles LeClerc! We discuss this monumental moment and its implications of what lies ahead.
Just before the Hamilton/Ferrari announcement, another big news piece came forth as Andretti was denied entry to the F1 grid for the 2026 season. Although the wording hints at a possible entry for them in 2028, the reasons stated as to why they cannot join the grid in 2026 are just absolutely ridiculous in claiming that they could potentially be "noncompetitive" after coming off the 2023 season where 1 driver won 19 of 23 races...needless to say we are not happy with the decision.
NASCAR had it's Clash race at the LA Coliseum and Indycar had another couple of testing days with the new hybrid power units at Homestead.

Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, Indycar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!
Following the Roar at Daytona last weekend, IMSA opened it's season with the Rolex 24. Aside from the somewhat controversial ending from a timing error on IMSA's part the racing was excellent! The battle for the overall lead in GTP was fantastic between the Cadillac and Porsche! Great racing from the other classes as well even our podcast favorite Risi Competizione took the win in GTD Pro.
Other racing from that weekend was exciting too with the Michelin Pilot Series but even more so from the Whelan MX-5 Cup Series! If you haven't seen those two races, check out either IMSA Official or The Racer Channel YouTube pages to watch the replays.
In the world of F1, Lando and LeClerc have extended their contracts with their teams. Although we haven't even started the 2024 season, speculation for 2025 lineups is in full swing as about three-quarters of the grid have contracts expiring at the end of the 2024 season. There's also a rumor about where a 4th US race might be.

Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, Indycar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!
Racing has officially returned as IMSA has kicked off it's season with the Roar Before the 24 that concluded with the grid being set for the Rolex 24 coming up this weekend in Daytona.
Other news announced this week - Madrid street circuit will be the host of the Spanish GP in Formula 1 from 2026 till 2035 and Marco Andretti announced that he will be driving in the Indy 500 this year.
Nate and Christian discuss their sim racing event they took part in over the weekend & all three of us give our two drivers that we think should get the last two Indycar seats at Dale Coyne.
This week for racing all of our focus will be on IMSA at Daytona for the Rolex 24! Tune in Saturday on NBC/Peacock/IMSAtv.

Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, Indycar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!
One last week of some boring off season talks. Thankfully this weekend we get to see sandbagging and actual racing in full force at the Roar Before the 24 in Daytona with IMSA. In addition to the practice and qualifying for the Rolex 24 next weekend, the VP Challenge Sportscar Series has two races this weekend! Both are 45 mins if we recall correctly. It will feature the LMP3 and GT4 cars.
News that broke soon after our podcast last week was the "firing" of Gunther Steiner at Haas F1 and SRX has announced its indefinite postponement of its fourth season with the revival of the IROC license.

Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, Indycar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!
The offseason is in full swing but over the coming weeks racing will resume! This weekend is the Chili Bowl! Plenty of action for a whole week. Then IMSA will start up again with the Roar before the 24 next weekend and the Rolex 24 the following but this week we discuss some more driver lineup announcements across Indycar and IMSA along with some IROC news and we debate what are some of the best racing movies and where do some shine while others falter.

Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, Indycar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!
Happy New Year! After a holiday break we pick up with a discussion we wanted to have about Indycar's engine suppliers and the state that Indycar is in. With the car supposedly poised to get a hybrid implemented for this season there hasn't been much change to the car outside of the aeroscreen and various stages of aero body kits that have gone onto the same chassis that is about 11 years old now. What does the future hold for the series? Is this the right move? How can they engage more fans?
Nate gives us an update on his racing adventures that he's done with the Touring Kart Championship over the past couple of weekends as well. He even scores a podium as well! Congrats Nate!

The off season lull is in full swing. IMSA had it's Homologation Test at Daytona this week where we saw the first outings of the Lamborghini GTP, Ford Mustang GT3, and Corvette GT3. WEC had more driver lineups being confirmed along with some news of refined Safety Car rules and their commitment to no tire warmers allowed in the coming season. Indycar's big announcement is that the new hybrid power unit would not make its debut at St. Petersburg, FL but rather in the streets of Detroit AFTER the Indy 500. An odd time to switch power units in the middle of the season...
This past weekend the Gulf 12 Hours took place at Yas Marina Circuit. This race is the season finale in the Intercontinental GT Challenge which is comprised of GT3 cars. If you need something to watch or have on in the background it will surely provide you with some entertainment! You can find it on GTWorld Youtube channel.

Asian Le Mans Series kicked off it's 2023-24 season with a double header event at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia. Both races can be watched back via their YouTube channel if you're interested.
We also enter the first real weekend of the off season. This week we focus also on some of the bigger news and notes of the week in motorsports as we count down the days until IMSA's Daytona 24 in January.

Formula 1 wraps up its 2023 season with one more rendition of the Dutch National Anthem! Jokes aside, what an incredible and historic season from Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing. Breaking records left and right. Job well done!
Supercars wrapped up their season as well with a new champion to the series Brodie Kostecki at their season finale in Adelaide.
Although the 2023 racing season is now completed for majority of the big racing series we do have the Asian Le Mans Series racing this weekend in Sepang for a double header! Yes two 4 hour races! I believe their races will be streamed on their YouTube channel for free so something to check out!

This past weekend, Formula 1 was in the streets of Las Vegas! As tradionalists of the sport we thought the race was very much a success but the fanfare around the race could've been dialed down significantly. We discuss our opinions on how "the show" went along with a review of the BRAWN GP: The Impossible F1 Story documentary series that is available on Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ at the time of this episode's release.
Coming up this weekend is F1's season finale in Abu Dhabi along with the season finale for the Supercars season at the streets of Adelaide.
