Welcome back to Solace! What was intended to be a few weeks' break may have become a few months, but this was never something I can leave entirely...
The new season of reflections will try and focus on a central theme - however tenuous! - each time, and depending on how weighty the situation feels around us all at the time I make them, may or may not be a little more topical.
This first weekâs Solace includes an Examen prayer and a time of listening (there are no written instructions for the listening prayer â everything you need to know is in the audio) â but if you havenât got access to the instructions and would like it for the Examen it is available here.
The Bible reading is taken from John 12:35, and the poem featured is âChoicesâ by Tess Gallagherâ which appears in âMidnight Lantern: New and Selected Poemsâ, published by Graywolf Press, 2011.
