  • How much of your wardrobe was bought for a woman who doesn't quite exist? The slightly thinner you. The you with the glamorous calendar. The you who has it all figured out by now. So many of us are dressing for a fantasy self, only to stand in front of a full closet and wonder why we still have nothing to wear.

This episode is about what changes when you stop and start dressing for the woman you actually are, in the life you're actually living, today.

To mark ten years of Wonder Wardrobe, I asked six women in our community to send me a voice message about their wardrobes. I thought they'd talk about clothes. What they sent back was not really about clothes at all, and I think you'll recognise a piece of your own story in at least one of them.

If your life has changed and your wardrobe hasn't caught up, or you've felt your sense of style slip away somewhere along the years, come and listen. You'll leave feeling a little less behind, and a lot less alone.

  • You can lead a team, win a deal, defend a thesis, or run a budget. Then the question turns to what to wear, and you feel insecure and confused. You've worn the same black blazer for ten years, told yourself "I don't have time," and watched other women look effortless and wondered what they know that you don't.

That feeling has a name. The intellectual-aesthetic split. A cultural inheritance most accomplished women carry without knowing it. The story that says smart and stylish are opposites, that you have to choose.

In this episode, I name where it comes from, what it looks like in the women I work with every week, and the style shift that turns smart-and-stylish into a professional advantage you can finally use.

  • I walked into a mall for the first time in five years. I picked up a blazer at Zara. Plastic. Tried Mango. Plastic. Walked into a mid-range store, three times the price. Still, almost everything was made out of plastic fibres.

I went home and started researching. What I found was worse than I expected. And one study in particular completely changed how I think about price and quality.

In this episode, I'm breaking down what's actually happening to clothing quality, what the research says, and what I've been doing about it.

  • Zurine has over 300 pieces in her wardrobe. She’s been watching capsule wardrobe content for two years. And she asked the question I hear more than almost any other: “Do I really have to throw it all away and start over with 12 pieces?”

    No. You don’t.

In this episode, I break down exactly what happens when women with big wardrobes join the Wonder Wardrobe. Why the method uses four seasonal capsules instead of one. How mini-capsules for work, weekends, sport, and going out make the whole system realistic. The practical maths behind how many outfits you actually need (and why laundry day matters more than any fashion magazine will tell you). And why two years of watching YouTube videos isn’t the same as building a wardrobe that works.

If you own 200, 300, or more pieces and feel like capsule wardrobes aren’t for you, this episode will change your mind.

  • Spring arrives. Everything outside goes soft, green, and light. And you look at your Winter colour palette thinking: am I really stuck in deep saturated shades while the whole world is blooming?

Listener Anna asked me exactly this, and the answer opens up a way of thinking about colour seasons that most analysis completely misses. Being a Winter type doesn’t mean what you think it means.

The second question comes from Eunice, a physiotherapist in Belgium who wears sportswear every day for work. It’s practical, but it doesn’t feel like her. Her question is really about something bigger: what do you do when the clothes you have to show up in every day don’t reflect who you actually are?

Two different questions. One shared insight. Listen to find out what connects them.

  • 3 pairs of jeans. Same size label. 3 different brands. One won’t zip, one’s too loose, and the third fits everywhere except where it counts.

Your first thought isn’t “these brands are inconsistent.” It’s “what’s wrong with my body?”

Nothing. Nothing is wrong with your body. The sizing system has been broken since 1939, and brands profit from the confusion in ways most women never realise. In this episode, I trace how we got here: from a deeply flawed government study, through decades of deliberate manipulation, to the chaos you experience in every fitting room today.

I also share the practical measurement strategies I teach in Body Harmony, so you can stop letting a number on a tag determine how you feel about yourself.

  • Scroll through any fashion content right now, and you’ll see the same outfit everywhere. Beige trousers, cream sweater, white sneakers. It’s like someone copy-pasted the same person across the entire internet.

The neutral capsule wardrobe has become a uniform. But after 15 years as a luxury personal shopper, I noticed something most style creators won’t tell you: the women who could actually afford the “quiet luxury” aesthetic didn’t dress like that when it mattered. Not to important meetings. Not to social events. Not when they wanted to be remembered.

So where did this trend really come from? Why did it stick? And what’s it actually doing to your personal style?

In this episode, I trace the neutral capsule from its radical feminist origins in the 1970s, through the psychology of why it feels so safe, to an uncomfortable truth about class, taste, and what “simplicity” is really selling. And then: what the alternative looks like.

  • My colour analysis teacher had 40 years of experience. She was brilliant. And she admitted she could never bridge colour theory into real-life styling. She called it “the theory of style”. And that phrase changed everything for me.

After 3 months of intensive training in Milan (compared to the 3-day online courses common today), I spent years watching the gap between colour analysis and actual wardrobes grow wider. Clients would discover their season, feel excited, go shopping… and end up more confused than before. The palettes were too small. The rules were too rigid. And nobody talked about how colours actually work together in an outfit.

This episode is about what went wrong, why it matters, and how I rebuilt the system from scratch.

If you’ve had your colours done and felt more restricted than free, this one’s for you.

  • One client owned 3,000 items. Another had a refrigerated vault for coats she never wore. A third had a helicopter in her yard and asked me for a discount.

For 15 years, I worked as a luxury personal shopper in Moscow and Milan: closed-store VIP appointments, €20,000 shopping days, couture archives worth more than apartments. These are stories I’ve never shared publicly before.

Every single one of these clients said the same thing: “I have nothing to wear.”

And then, just last month, a new client came to me with over 600 items — all fast fashion, all under €30 each — and the exact same problem.

This episode is about the most common myth I hear (“if only I had more money”) and what 15 years of working at both extremes taught me about the real relationship between money and style.

  • This summer, I’m wearing exactly the same wardrobe as last year. Same pieces. Zero additions. I spent about an hour reorganising my closet and was done.

I used to spend 40–60 minutes every morning just choosing what to wear. Now it takes seconds. But that shift didn’t happen because of a method, or not only because of a method. It happened because of something much more personal, something I rarely talk about on the podcast.

This episode was inspired by listener Evelyn, who asked a question I think a lot of you are secretly wondering: my wardrobe works, so why doesn’t it feel like enough?

The answer has as much to do with psychology, culture, and self-compassion as it does with clothes.

  • During a recent coaching session, a Studio+ member looked at her finished wardrobe and asked me: “Do you think I can just… stop shopping for a while?” She needed permission. That’s how deep the habit runs.

I’ve been a personal shopper for 15 years. I now shop only 2–3 times a year. And I’m probably the most annoying personal shopper you’ll ever meet, because I’m the one who tells you when to stop.

In this episode, I break down 5 shopping habits so normalised we don’t even see them as habits anymore. With real numbers on how much the average person spends and buys each year, some personal stories I haven’t shared before, and the repair economics of a dress I’ve worn for 7 years.

Plus: a listener Q&A on staying true to your style inside a strict business dress code.

  • Here’s a quick test. Pick 6 tops and 5 bottoms from your wardrobe right now and try mixing them. If everything works together, that’s 30 outfits: a full month without repeating. Add layers and dresses and you have a complete season.

Most women own far more than 11 pieces and get dressed in far fewer combinations. Why?

In this episode, I go behind the scenes of the Wonder Wardrobe method: the system I built after realising that decluttering doesn’t fix a broken wardrobe, and that traditional capsule wardrobes solve the wrong problem. I explain the 4 principles that make a wardrobe click, why I never tried a classic capsule myself (and what I do instead), and what most wardrobe advice completely ignores.

If you’ve ever stared at a packed closet thinking “I have nothing to wear,” this episode explains what’s actually going wrong.

  • At my own birthday party, a guest handed me a present and then said something so shocking I lost my words. Later that evening, one detail about her behaviour explained everything. And it had nothing to do with me.

This episode is about the comments people make about our appearance: the cruel ones, the “nice” ones that don’t feel nice, and the ones we make about ourselves when no one’s listening. I share stories I’ve never told on the podcast before, including the most controversial newsletter I ever wrote, the night a woman hid where her dress was from, and why receiving a genuine compliment can feel just as uncomfortable as being criticised.

Plus: listener audio questions on handling backhanded compliments and making wardrobe decisions about pieces that didn’t get worn this season.

  • Oana is a professional organiser. She’s literally an expert at making systems work. But when it came to her own wardrobe, nothing clicked. Capsule advice felt too rigid, and every morning was still a battle.

Then she received a late ADHD diagnosis, and suddenly, the reason behind years of wardrobe frustration made sense. The problem was never discipline or taste. It was that every piece of style advice she’d ever followed was designed for a brain that works differently from hers.

This conversation isn’t just for people with ADHD. If you’ve ever felt like the “just own fewer things” advice was missing something important about how you actually think and get dressed, I think you’ll recognise yourself in Oana’s story.

  • You’ve figured out what suits you. You shop responsibly. You have a great eye for colour and fit. So why is your closet filling up with things you love, but never actually put on?

My guest Lana knows exactly what this feels like. She makes thoughtful purchases, understands her style, and genuinely loves what she buys. But instead of wearing it all, she keeps adding more. It’s less about getting dressed and more about something else entirely.

Our conversation goes to an unexpected place, because the answer has very little to do with clothes.

  • One of our Wonder Wardrobe members tracked every purchase she almost made in a year. When another member added up the total, the number was staggering, and she had zero regrets about any of it.

I share the budgeting system I’ve used for 9+ years. The same one that took me from impulse-buying outfits for Instagram to going an entire year without needing a single new item. I also reveal one simple rule that determines whether any new piece is worth buying, and it has nothing to do with price.

If you’ve ever checked your bank account at the end of the month and wondered where it all went… while wearing your fifth “it was just 40 euros” outfit… this one’s for you.

  • Growing up in Russia, I was told I was beautiful so often that it became suffocating. Then, at 19, my father said something that cracked the foundation of everything I believed about beauty and worth.

Years later, moving to Germany forced an even bigger reckoning — with makeup, with professional identity, and with what “looking good” really means when you strip away cultural conditioning. So I ran an experiment on myself. I quit makeup entirely. Not for a week. For years.

In this episode, I share that journey and the stories from our Wonder Wardrobe community that inspired it: women who say they feel more beautiful now than they ever did when they were younger. What do they know that the rest of us are still figuring out?

Plus: a listener Q&A on what to do when you love a piece that just doesn’t work for you.
