Developing our intuition is a lifelong process but how can we fine tune it so
that when it is speaking to us that we know how to listen?
In this podcast, Melanie asks Niamh to explain how our intuition works, how
we can identify its existence within us and wonders how we can differentiate
between our intuition and our rational thinking. This episode also explores
how can we use our intuition to help us when making decisions and that as we
become to trust our ability to listen to it more it will serve us better. Our
intuition is in fact the best compass we have if we just quieten and listen.

At this time of the year we start hearing people talking about the dreaded New Year’s Resolutions.
Well, not on this podcast!
In this episode, Melanie and Niamh chat about what we actually ‘should’ be doing as we roll in to
end of the year. They discuss the fact that this time of year would be better used for looking back
and letting go, in order to create more space for new possibilities. Then we can start the New Year
creating our own personal Vision of where we want to move towards and then, and only then, the
last step should be about setting out our goals.

In each of the podcasts to date Niamh has talked about the importance
of meditating and how we should all try and incorporate at least a ten
minute guided meditation into our day.
To help she recorded this guided meditation for you which she believes
will be enormously beneficial for anyone looking to slow down, to create
space and make room in your minds. She has tailored this for anyone
considering making a change in their lives. It’s short but it is effective.
Try it and see and if you like it let Niamh know so she can record some
more for you.

In this weeks podcast Niamh & Melanie discuss how sometimes we need to get out of our own way, stop blaming others and just take responsibility for what’s happening in our own lives. This episode was one a lot of you asked us to cover so it should be a thought provoking one!
Enjoy! And if you do please, subscribe, review and rate it. We will be eternally grateful. -
Manifestation, as a word, can be off putting for many people. It can feel a little hocus pocus but if you haven’t tried it, don’t knock it. It is one of the most powerful tools you can have in your box of tricks. It can get you from wishing or wanting for something to actually making it happen. Think of it like a muscle - the more you use it the better you get at it.
In Episode 6 of ‘The Changing Room’, Melanie and Niamh talk about manifestation in great detail. What is it, how do we use it, what are the steps we should take towards manifesting what we want, what not to do, what language to avoid using. It’s a huge topic but an enormously popular one. We hope you enjoy this one and do let us know when you manifest something great!
Niamh will also be covering this topic in her “2020 VISION Workshop” in Dublin on January 11th 2020. For more information on what to expect just click here http://bit.ly/Niamh2020 -
Episode 5 of The Changing Room deals with the stories we allow ourselves to believe and how they
can influence who we become. Niamh shares how a throwaway comment to her 6 year old self lead
to a lifetime of fear around money! Melanie opens up an interesting discussion on how the
perspective we choose to view our life can determine how we live our lives and they talk about the
importance of finding language that resonates deeply with you and to stop using language that
strikes fear and worry. When we say something often enough we start to believe it. They’ve packed
a lot into this episode! -
Who amongst us can admit to ’people pleasing’ from time to time? (Hint: answer most of us)
Yet how many of us feel able to put better boundaries in place to control these tendencies. It’s difficult. But in Episode 4 of The Changing Room podcast you will discover it is not impossible. Melanie asks why so many of us are resistant to boundary setting, how can we know we are not just being mean or selfish and Niamh talks us through the very practical steps that will help you begin to put better boundaries in place in your life. -
Change can start for many of us with a book. A gentle nudge to get us thinking about things differently, that can inspire us to consider doing things differently. This week Melanie and Niamh chat about the books that have helped Niamh so much along her journey. Melanie asks her to share her FIVE most favourite ones in Episode 3 of The Changing Room. Niamh also shares some of her favourite people, who inspired her to transform and change, to follow on
Instagram including of course Melanie!

The Changing Room is the place to go if you want to transform your life. Episode 2 retraces Niamh’s story of Change and we hear her describe why to help her kickstart her own Change she took a year out in Spain. Melanie explores with Niamh the practices that helped her change such as Journaling, Manifestation, Reiki, Meditation and Nature. They also cover the issue of self-sabotage and resistance – our fears.
Finally in this episode, they discuss how when we change, others around us can feel unsettled by it, and in turn make us feel uncomfortable, and how we each need to establish better boundaries for ourselves.
Melanie asks the questions that the listener really wants to and she does so in the most human way possible, providing Niamh with the safe space to answer honestly and share how her life’s experiences have prompted her to work with others so they can also transform their lives in a purposeful way. -
The Changing Room is the place to go if you want to transform your life, and in this first episode Melanie & Niamh talk about ways to identify, handle and ace any sort of changes life might through, or you might want to make. They also discuss the difference between Change and Transformation and discuss why it is so many of us are afraid of change. There’s very little about Change that they won’t and can’t cover.
Niamh is a Transformational Coach who works with women who are going through significant changes in their lives. She believes that Change is when we alter what we do but Transformation is when we change who we are. She is certain that so many of us want more from our lives but not everyone knows how to get it or how to get beyond their fears.
In her work, Niamh reveals her own very personal and unique experience with Change, in particular with the Change nobody wants, and she shares the tools and skills that are required for lasting transformation.

Melanie started her career in PR in the ‘80s landing her first job with Lynne Franks a.k.a the woman who inspired Edina Monsoon in Absolutely Fabulous. Franks had Gaultier, John Galliano and John Rocha on her books and the world she worked in was busy and buzzy. After learning the ropes there, Melanie went on to work for another top PR, Matthew Freud but when a recession hit England, she decided to return home to Dublin. She wasn't back long when she set up dSide magazine and after many successful years as a publisher, was headhunted to IMAGE magazine where she eventually became Editor in Chief.
Melanie has worked with so many creative people in Dublin and has given countless writers, photographers and designers their breaks. She is a dynamic force, always ten steps ahead of the competition. She is now a director and group contributing editor to IMAGE Media and focuses her energies on her company Genius Ideas Inc.
