Suzi Green has a career in the Music Industry spanning 25 years, and has tour managed artists including PJ Harvey, Placebo and The Chemical Brothers. After experiencing burn out, she left the industry and retrained as a Naturopathic Nutritionist, and has since returned to the business where she is able to use her new skills on tour, to the benefit of artists and crew.

Paul's joined us to talk about his experience working professionally in the entertainment industry, his recovery from addiction, and how's he has re-trained as a bodywork therapist alongside looking forward to our industry picking up again. Born in Dublin, Paul OâNeill was blessed an idyllic early childhood. In 1984 he was plunged into the booming Dublin arts scene when a major venue offered a clueless twenty year-old student real money to light their next play. Before long he was a venue technician with a blossoming career as a lighting designer.
In a diverse career spanning the worlds of theatre, music, dance, fashion, TV, corporate and civic eventsâŠ.he has also had stints in sound, rigging, tour & production management, as well as consultancy and installation work⊠and has been the tech manager of two well-known venues in Ireland.
Paulâs path was far from smooth however, and at the age of 47, after yet another failed relationship and facing homelessness, he finally sought professional help. This led to finally addressing his relationship with alcohol and other escapes, opening the door to healing long-buried childhood trauma and taking ownership of his mental & emotional wellbeing for the first time.
Also gifted with healing hands, he has trained in a range of bodywork therapies over the past twenty years, and since 2006 has combined freelancing on events with a practice in Amatsu and Body Harmony.
Having lost too many friends and colleagues through suicide or substance misuse he is truly grateful to wake up each day with a clear head, and is committed to helping others to find whatever recovery and connection they can to be their best selves.

Chez Stock talks with Suzi Green about Chezâs vast touring experience and how she found the healthiest working environments always celebrate diversity, ability and skill.
Chez Stock is an LA based FOH engineer & tour manager. Her 20 year career in audio has taken her to stadiums around the world and tiny clubs you've probably never heard of (for good reason). The pandemic hit & the touring industry evaporated overnight in March 2020. She now has lots of time on her hands & has started volunteering for a local street cat TNR rescue & is currently fostering multiple kittens.

Ken Binley's guest today is Lighting Designer Andrew Leonard. He joins us to talk about his 45 years experience in the entertainment industry, living in the moment and the need for collaboration in these pandemic times.
Bio: Born in Dublin in 1953, Andrew Leonard grew up in the leafy suburbs in Killiney Co. Dublin.
Educated first by nunâs with menâs names in black habits, Andrew then went to St. Conlethâs in Ballsbridge, followed by Ampleforth, a Public School in Yorkshire run by Benedictine monks in skirts / habits!
He went to Trinity in Dublin to study Business Studies, but got diverted into theatre by an old school friend and he discovered his vocation for lighting and theatre there and spent most of his time in the Playersâ Theatre.
Just before he left Trinity, he saw an ad for Lighting operators in RTE, went for it and got the job, which he stuck at for 3 very valuable years.
He left to start Stage and Location Lighting with Rupert Murray in 1978, which then became Lighting Dimensions. It was the start of an era, the beginning of the indigenous business which has grown to dizzy heights today.
Andrew left the company in â94 to become a freelance Lighting Director and contractor.
Andrew joins us to talk a little bit about keys moments, turns in the road, the coping with the stresses and strains of running a business, of relationships, and how he addressed those moments with the help of personal development work, therapy and mindfulness.

Rowan McDonagh is an Irish tech production manager for large scale festivals. He has over 25 years experience in the live music industry. From managing irelands largest AV company to stage manager and production manager, Rowan's experience spans the entire industry. Rowan has a diagnosis of rapid cycling bi-polar disorder, and is in recovery from trauma and addiction. Rowan founded The Cowshed with Claire Morrissey. He is a huge advocate of mental health issues within our industry.

and grandfather. I have two wonderful grandchildren
and a wonderful daughter. I have two brothers and
three sisters whom I love dearly and I have a beautiful
and very supportive wife. I like to spend my pastime
with my grandchildren, I do a lot of cycling, I love to eat
good food and I am not a bad cook.

Ian Lamb brief biog 2020 Age 56 I live on the North Devon Coast in a village called Appledore Married to Jennie, we have no children but we do have two furkids â Milly, an 11 year old Lakeland terrier and Mr Bingley, a 4 year old Airedale terrier. Interests â walking, films, cooking, our dogs (I am glad I put a comma in there between those two interests or else you would have been forgiven for contacting the RSPCA), I enjoy noticing faces in things (pareidolia), sticking googly eyes on things to make them into faces and entertaining people with them, making people laugh is always an enjoyment. Born in 1964 and raised in a suburb of Nottingham with my elder sister and parents. A mostly happy, loving and fun childhood with every possible spare minute spent outside. At school I was interested mostly in practical subjects, acting and cross country running and I enjoyed working on a farm during most school holidays from the age of 12 to 16. I Loved being in the Cubs and Scouts and enjoyed climbingâŠâŠ..anything really I have suffered with, what I later discovered to be, clinical depression from the age of 13 and since then I have learnt a lot about the subject on my journey along this âlong and winding roadâ. Since graduating from the London Academy of Dramatic Art in 1984 my profession has been a stage manager in the conference and live events industry apart from a 10 year hiatus when I was a lampy and rigger.

Stephen is a writer and director of film and telly and, most recently, a book called SHOOTING & CUTTING: A Survivorâs Guide to Film-making and Other Diseases - about his journey with Stage IV cancer and trying to get back to a productive and creative life afterwards. He lives near the sea in Dublin with his wife, comedian and actress Deirdre OâKane, and their two kids Holly and Daniel. There is also a black cat called Samba in residence. Stephen is looking forward to a pint of Guinness in an actual pub later this summer.

John âJakeâ Kennedy has more than 30 yearsâ experience in the management and delivery of large-scale
events across a diverse range of entertainment and cultural areas. He spent close to 20 years as a key
member of U2âs production management team and was Production Manager and later Tour Director on
Zoo TV and Pop Mart tours which played to a total of 10m people worldwide. He was Project Director for
the Woodstock 1994 and Woodstock 1999 Music and Arts Festivals in USA. Each event attracted approx.
500,000 people to two different small towns in up-state New York and commemorated the original
Woodstock Festival of 1969. Mr. Kennedy has managed arts events at Hannover Expo 2000, at the JFK
Centre for Performing Arts in Washington DC and for Stockholm 2000, the New Yearâs Eve 2000 event
attended by 750,000 people in Stockholm harbour. He has considerable experience of project
management work in Third World countries, having managed the installation of power generation projects
for APR Energy LLC. Most recently he has been producer of several music led made for TV Programs in
Ireland, Germany and UK.

Paddy is a Native of Belfast, Ireland but moved south with his family in his early years to Naas, Co
Kildare.
Studying in Carlow RTC, he became Ents Officer and then President of the Students Union,
becoming USI National Exec Officer in 1985.
From here he went full time into the music business.
