Just the three fixtures to discuss this past weekend, but three huge spectacles consisting of two cup finals and a playoff final for Premier League football next season.

Adam Idah's late strike got Celtic over the line against Rangers to lift the Scottish Cup, earning Rodgers a domestic double in his second spell at the club.

Man United overcame their Manchester rivals in the F.A cup final, beating City 2-1 thanks to first half goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo, but will the F.A Cup prove to be enough for Ten Haag to keep his job?

Leeds are falling apart again! The play off curse lives on for Daniel Farke's side as they came up short against Southampton at Wembley with Adam Armstrong scoring the only but decisive goal to send the Saints back up to the Premier League.

Fennan & Mayhem take their seats in the booth for a super long episode this week to share their thoughts and views on all of this past weekend's action. Also to give their player ratings for Cardiff & Celtic respectively, along with their cinch Premiership and Championship team of the seasons.

The end is near folks! League campaigns for the season are over, play offs have been concluded and my word what a season of football it has been.

Man City and Pep Guardiola clinched their fourth successive Premier League title. Pep's side will firmly go down in Premier League folklore as the greatest team we have ever witnessed.

Not quite four in a row yet, but Celtic retained the cinch Premiership title for a third successive season. Brendan Rodgers will be eager to end the season with the double when they clash with Rangers for the Scottish Cup.

After a two week absence, Fennan & Mayhem take their seats in the booth to share their thoughts and views on all of this past weekend's action.

The end of the Championship season is near and there is a strong sense of pressure amongst the top sides pushing for a return to the Premier League...or would they rather stay put? Well based on some results in particular, it's really hard to tell.

One of those bizarre results came at a huge cost for Leeds, as they made the Friday evening journey to Loftus Road which saw QPR run rampant in a 4-0 victory. This result went massively in Ipswich's favour of clinching automatic promotion, which was then halted by Hull as both sides provided an entertaining spectacle at the MKM Stadium with the game finishing 3-3. West Brom were another side who were involved a freak result, losing 3-0 to Sheffield Wednesday who fighting for their lives to stay up in the Championship.

The chase for the cinch Premiership remains unchanged from last week as Celtic and Rangers both picked up 2-1 victories against Dundee and St Mirren respectively.

Liverpool's chances of winning the Premier League title in Klopp's final season as manager went up in smoke after a midweek defeat in their Merseyside Derby clash with Everton, and then followed up with a 2-2 draw against West Ham.
Arsenal kept their title hopes alive this past weekend with a 3-2 win over North London rivals Tottenham, keeping the Gunners a point ahead over Man City who still have a game in hand.

It's now that time of year for the play offs in League 1 and 2, a time that most football fans completely adhere to as they provide intense excitement and games for the ages.

Fennan & Mayhem take their seats in the booth to share their says on all of this past weekend's action and make their predictions for the upcoming play offs.

An exciting weekend full of cup action, surprising results and plenty of VAR controversy (as per usual).

This past weekend's action saw both Glasgow clubs in Scottish Cup action, with Rangers getting the job done in 90 minutes against Hearts winning 2-0. Celtic however were taken the distance by Aberdeen, who equalized twice on the brink of full time of both the 90th minute and the 120th minute. The game finish 3-3 with Celtic progressing to the final after winning 6-5 on penalties.

Southampton who had emerged as a strong contender as of late to chase down the top two in the Championship in hope of an automatic promotion spot went into complete self-destruction mode as they let many chances go to waste in their clash against Cardiff, allowing the Bluebirds to produce a 2-1 victory in smash and grab fashion thanks to a 95th minute winner from Cardiff's new star boy, Cian Ashford.

VAR played a big part in the "Points Deduction Derby" fixture between Nottingham Forest and Everton, which saw big penalty shouts waived away by the officials that proved to be costly as Everton won 2-0, with relegation fears now growing for Forest.

Both Manchester clubs will come head to head in the F.A cup final after Man City overcame Chelsea and Man United were taken to penalties after surrendering a 3-0 lead to Championship side, Coventry City. United won on penalties but certainly a valiant performance from Mark Robins' side.

A weekend of Derbies...oh boy this is going to be fun.

That's right! This past weekend's action was packed Derby Day fever, featuring the East Anglian derby in the Championship between Norwich & Ipswich, The Glasgow derby in the cinch Premiership between Celtic & Rangers and the North-West derby Premier League clash between Man United & Liverpool.

Norwich kicked off the weekend with a monumental victory against their East Anglian rivals, Ipswich with a 1-0 victory, strengthening their play off contention and simultaneously denting Ipswich's automatic promotion hopes.

The Glasgow derby produced yet another spectacle, with both sides having to settle with a 3-3 draw at Ibrox. Despite surrendering a 2-0 lead against Rangers, a point at Ibrox for Celtic could prove to be beneficial in the long run as we approach the league split.

However, a point will certainly not prove to be beneficial for Liverpool after their 2-2 draw against Man United at Old Trafford, which opens the door for Arsenal & Man City to overtake them at the top of the table.

Fennan & Mayhem take their seats the booth to share their thoughts and views on all of this past weekend's action.

Happy Easter to you all football fans!
We made it through the final wave of the internationals and here we are to embrace the final stages of the football season, the period that proves to be decisive for us all for our beloved clubs.

It proved to be a not so Good Friday for Cardiff fans after producing a below par performance against Sunderland and ultimately suffering a 2-0 defeat to the Black Cats. However the Bluebirds bounced back after a very fortunate 2-1 victory against play off contenders, Coventry thanks to two own goals from Liam Kitching.

Celtic continued to build momentum going into their crucial clash with Rangers next week after a 3-0 win against Livingston, which also saw the return of some important individuals in the likes of Cameron Carter Vickers, Reo Hatate and possibly Callum McGregor for which will be arguably Celtic's biggest spectacle of the season.

The Premier League produced very few surprises this past weekend, but Newcastle's late onslaught against West Ham took the headlines after coming from two goals down to win the game 4-3, but proved to have come at a cost for the Baggies after losing a few key players to injury.

We never cover leagues abroad, but this particular headline had to be discussed in the form of Xabi Alonso announcing this week he will stay at Bayer Leverkusen for at least another season, ruling out the possibility of the Spaniard taking over from Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool come the end of the season.

Fennan & Mayhem take their seats the booth to express their perspectives on this week's easter footballing weekend.

    Just one more international break!
However this this time of the season can prove to be a blessing for some football fans, especially those who's clubs have not been performing to their best or that their country has already guaranteed their spot at the EUROs in June and/or both...well long story short, let's just say Fennan may not feel the same after this week.

After a four game winning streak, Cardiff crumbled in their biggest fixture to date, losing 2-0 to South Wales rivals, Swansea in what seemed to be a one-sided affair between the two sides. This tends to be an outcome that Cardiff fans have become too familiar with, but on top of that it may well be the case that the gap between the Bluebirds from the play offs has become too superior.

Celtic went into the international break in good spirits after a 3-1 home victory against St Johnstone. They return from the break with an away clash with Livingston before their title-chasing crunch clash with Rangers.

The biggest headline of all that struck the football world was Nottingham Forest inflicted by a four point deduction, ultimately putting their Premier League status in jeopardy. This sparked the discussion of how and why this decision was imposed, especially over the cases that loom over the bigger European clubs in which we have not yet seen any action been taken.

Fennan & Mayhem take their seats the booth to vent their thoughts and views on this week's football drama.

Dramatic late goals, three horse race for the title, playoff scraps and a relegation battle between at least six teams...these are what makes the Championship the best league in the world.

Speaking of the Championship, Cardiff have been flying high as of late and that didn't stop this past weekend when the Bluebirds produced a roaring comeback to be beat title challengers, Ipswich where goals from Ryan Wintle and Callum O'Dowda in the closing stages of added time cancelled out Kieffer Moore's opener. Not only does this bring them within reasonable reach of the play offs, it will also give Erol Bulut's side further positive encouragement and the best chance of producing a historic double of South Wales rivals, Swansea when they meet at the Liberty next week.

Celtic returned to winning ways with a much needed 4-2 win over bottom placed side, Livingston and will hope to continue to push Rangers for the top spot as we approach the league split in the cinch Premiership.

You never expect a Premier League weekend without VAR being involved nowadays. Liverpool hosted Man City in the Sunday afternoon kick off at Anfield, where Pep Guardiola has yet to experience victory. That wild statistic lives on as neither side could be separated in their 1-1 draw. However a late but strong call for a Liverpool penalty in late added time was waived away by Michael Oliver as Jeremy Doku happened to catch Alexis Mac Allister with a high foot, but VAR deemed Doku to have made contact with the ball first.

We may have overdone it with our "Winter break"...sorry guys!

A lot has taken place over the past month, but it certainly gave us a lot to talk about.

After a underwhelming deadline day, it has proved costly for Brendan Rodgers and Celtic, surrendering top spot to their Glasgow rivals Rangers. However with Rangers suffering a 2-1 defeat on the weekend to Motherwell, it was the perfect opportunity for the Bhoys to regain their place at the summit in their Sunday clash against Hearts. After a controversial first half red card and a missed penalty from Adam Idah, Hearts came out 2-0 winners at Tynecastle, keeping Celtic two points adrift from the top.

Cardiff had also endured a frustrating period, but things have been looking up for Erol Bulut's side as of late. The Bluebirds' first home victory of 2024 came against strugglers Stoke and with that they successfully carried over that momentum into their Severnside derby encounter against Bristol City this past Saturday, winning 1-0 and completing the double over their Severnside rivals.

The Premier League produced some exciting fixtures this past weekend, including the Manchester derby which remains blue as Man City came back to beat United 3-1 at the Ettihad thanks to a Phil Foden brace and Erling Haaland sparing his blushes after missing a huge chance in the first half, ultimately cancelling out Marcus Rashford's stunning opener.

Liverpool caused chaos at the City Ground in their game against Nottingham Forest where Darwin Nunez scored a 99th minute winner, despite their only being eight minutes of added time. While flares were lit in the away end and Jurgen Klopp celebrated wildly with his team, Forest players and staff surrounded referee Paul Tierney at the final whistle.

Fennan & Mayhem make their long awaited return to the booth after a month lay off to catch up on all the action.

This episode is only what I can describe as "therapeutic" for both Fennan and Mayhem, who both had a lot to say this week as they both reached their boiling points in regards to ownership of football clubs.

In the wake of the horrific scenes we witnessed at Reading this past week, we strongly acknowledge during this episode that we may come across as "spoilt" fans in comparison to those who have sadly seen the clubs plummet into liquidation in the past and no loyal football fan deserves to lose their football club.

S**t has officially hit the fan in the Welsh capital. After a string of poor results from the Bluebirds, Erol Bulut expressed his discontent over the club's lack of transfer activity after Cardiff's recent defeat against Plymouth and even stated that he may have to take his position at the club into his own hands.

Celtic returned to action this week, cruising to a 5-0 victory against Buckie Thistle in the Scottish Cup, but with key players away at the Asian Cup and the lack of transfer activity has Mayhem feeling concerned.

Ivan Toney was the talk of the town as he made his return to action from his eight month suspension for Brentford this past weekend, getting himself on the scoresheet in a 3-2 victory against Wolves.

Fennan & Mayhem take their seats in the booth to vent their frustrations and share all on that has taken place this past week.
