    Jack Binstead is a multi-talented actor and athlete. He is best known for his role as Rem Dogg in the popular BBC Comedy Series "Bad Education". Through his work, Jack has become an advocate for greater diversity and inclusivity in the entertainment industry, helping to promote a more authentic representation of people with disabilities. He's also an athlete, having represented Team GB and, having discovered padel in the summer of 2023, has founded and participated in Team GB Adaptive Padel. He practices and plays at the Rocks Lane Club in Chiswick, a 10-court club, founded by the Warren brothers, that is proudly promoting inclusivity in this sport. Jack played in the Inclusive Padel Tour in Dubai. We discuss his life journey, picking up padel and what are his favourite padel shots and pro players.

    Patricia (Patty) Llaguno Zielinski is currently the world's number 18 ranked player on WPT (#17 the FIP tour). Aged 38 and playing in the drive (left side) position, Patty figures among the oldest on the women's tour and is still regularly battling into the later stages of the pro tournaments. She won the FIP Platinum in Sardegna this year alongside Lucia Sainz. On the WPT this year (its last), she sported a 295W v 141L record. In this chat, we discuss Patty's career, how to mix and manage her love of football and tennis with padel, the keys to a success partnership, and the prospects for 2024.

  • Elena Martín Ortiz is an accomplished padel player who was highly ranked in the WPT predecessor, the Opel Padel Tour, and has represented (and won with) Catalonia in the Spanish team championships. She is also a senior manager at Monitor Deloitte, the multinational strategy consulting practice of Deloitte Consulting. In this role, Elena is coauthor of the 2023 Global Padel Report, published in collaboration with Playtomic. In this conversation, we discuss Elena's life as a padel player, her best shots and funniest moments. We also discuss the state of padel worldwide, the unique Swedish case, and the global prospects.

  • The Joy of Padel with Sandy Farquharson
    Sandy Farquharson is a member of the National GB padel tennis team, having developed as a tennis player and previously been coach of ATP and WTA players on the tennis circuit. In 2012, Sandy converted to padel and participated in the development of the sport in UAE. He has organised WPT and FIP tournaments, being the coach of the national teams in both the UAE and GB, and representing GB in the World and European Championships. He founded The Padel School in Jan 2019 to give the padel community the tools to take their on-court performance to a new level, which will in turn grow the sport into a powerhouse across the globe. An ambassador and a shining light for the sport. VAMOS!

  • The Joy of Padel with Mike Yanguas
    Mike Yanguas, who comes from Malaga, Spain, began playing padel when he was just 7 years old. Now 21, playing right, he's the 17th ranked player in the WPT. His partner for most of this year (and through the recording of this interview) has been the 44-year-old still-active doyen of padel, Fernando Belasteguin. Due to an injury to Bela's arm, Mike has for now teamed up with Victor Ruiz. On the WPT, he has a 68% win ratio. His best result this year was winning the Tau Cerámica Reus Costa Daurada Open 500, in Tarragona Spain. He has also reached 2 other semi-finals and 9 quarters.     Tia Norton is Great Britain’s most recognisable professional padel player. The GB number 1 blazed a trail when, aged only 17, she became the first British woman ever to compete – and win – on the World Padel Tour, the international professional circuit. Since then she has enjoyed tournament success including the FIP London in 2022 and the inaugural Pro Padel League in North America in June this year with the Las Vegas Smash. In 2023, Tia Norton crowned Women's Padel Player of the Year at LTA Tennis Awards.

    Marcos del Pilar is a successful serial entrepreneur and businessman as well as a Padel pioneer. A former tennis and padel pro player as well as pro coach, Marcos' determination, commitment, hard work, and powerful networking have made him become one of the most influential and important figures in the development of Padel in the United States since 2017. In the World Championships of 2021 (Qatar) and 2022 (Dubai), Marcos was head coach of Team USA. Today, he is cofounder and commissioner of the Pro Padel League, President and CEO of Sports Management Padel, Director of Padel at the USTA, USPTA Head of Padel Certification, running the padel certification in North America (with more than 300 certified Professionals in the USA), and Director of PadelMBA.

    Gabo Loredo is a padel phenomenon! He’s Mexican whose professional career began as a tennis coach for elite juniors. In 2010, he switched to padel to become an international director and coach, having coached in Italy, Mexico, England, Estonia, Argentina, and, of course, Spain. He has coached the Swedish and Finnish national padel teams and now lives in Sweden, running the Instagram friendly Tasty Padel along with Riikke Laine, where they run clinics and camps.

    Nalle Grinda was UCLA’s top tennis player from 1998 to 2001. He's been in padel since he was 5 years old and has been a forerunner of the sport, first in France, then in the US. He represented France for over 10 years and has played with many of the greats. Specifically, he was 5 times champion of France, individual semi-finalists with Laurent Belotti of the European Championships in pairs, and was European team vice-champion and 4th in the world team championships. Today, Nallé is ranked 238th in the world on FIP and is among the top padel players in the United States. Previously, he was ranked among the top 50 in the world. Driven by his passion for Padel and his entrepreneurial spirit, Nalle Grinda founded Padel X, to build quality padel infrastructures in the US.

  • The Joy of Padel podcast with Victor and William Dial
    Victor Dial was a pioneering player of padel. He started in the 1970s, and played on the original Corcuera court. He also played with many celebrities over the years. His other son, my half-brother William, is a very accomplished padel player. Both have good stories and enjoy the culture of padel.
    Victor Dial is my father and a lifelong player of all racquet sports, including lawn tennis, real (court) tennis and squash, before becoming a padel tennis enthusiast. He had a long career in the automotive industry, rising to be Chairman and GM of Ford France, then VP of Sales and Marketing at Peugeot Worldwide. Simultaneously, he was Chairman, and then CEO as well of the American Hospital of Paris. He was board member for many companies and lived the majority of his adult life in Europe, between the UK, Belgium, France, Switzerland and Spain.     William Dial, my half-brother, is a very accomplished lawn tennis player who picked up padel very early in life. He reached a competitive level of lawn tennis in his 20s and is now a bona fide good padel player. He is presently founder and CEO at PROMOREAL Real Estate Investment Fund, based out of Madrid.
