For days he walked beside the Zêzere, her voice between the boulders. Now the path climbs. Higher than the water. For long stretches the River vanishes. And a question he thought he was carrying turns out to be carrying him: where are you holding your shape, when your essence is asking you to flow?
He sits under a cork oak. Salt on the tongue. Blisters tended that morning. Bees in the lavender. And then, looking across the green folds, something settles: "The hills are the river."
No flanks, no flow. No flow, no flanks. Each shapes the other, long before us. What holds you was never the obstacle. It was the partner.
This is the second episode. The Zêzere is not one thing. The river is the relation between all that makes her possible. The oak. The blister. Him.
He stands. Picks up the sticks. Walks on — held by more than he can see.

A river. A man. A journey. Twenty days.
Walking, but never only his walk.
For years he had dreamed of creating something entirely his own – an artistic, philosophical, indefinable work. So he prepared himself. Further training. Bookish wisdom. Leadership courses. Explorations of his own identity. A quest for his inner compass. But it was only when his plans went up in smoke, the structure fell away and he opened his heart for the unknown, to whatever might arise, that the dream came true.
This is the first episode. The threshold episode. Not a departure. A moulting. A closing that makes an opening possible.
At first he walked the way he always had — until, until the pace changed. "Become useless. Then you can observe unobserved." — he heard from the river, between the stones on the boulders.
Only the beginning.
