In this latest excused absence episode The Say Reporters are taking a trip to Nantucket to celebrate One Crazy Summer with their friends Hoops McCann, Cassandra Eldridge, Ack Ack Raymond, George and Squid Calamari, and The Stork Twins that time they tried to save Cassandra’s Grandfather’s house by creating and mounting the greatest media blitz in the history of the island before having to pivot and win the Annual Nantucket Regatta.
All of that was happening while trying to avoid crossing the path of a giant rabies infected dolphin, painfully setting up a plausible scenario for Godzilla to terrorize the town, win a million dollars from the local radio station, and doing their best to avoid adding yet another film to the Doug Neidermeyer shared cinematic universe. -
This episode The Say Reporters are elated to wish Mel Brooks a Happy Hundredth Birthday and that energy can be felt throughout the entire affair.
Whether it is discuss old episodes of Aqua Teen Hunger Force that YouTube’s algorithm has decided to recommend in the strangest ways possible, the completely insane marketing campaign for Tom Cruise’s latest film “Digger,: Devon’s endorsement of “Supergirl” and “Toy Story 5” as films worth seeing, Sejohn getting real deep about the nature of parody films and why “Scary MoVIe” felt like such a return to form, and mode a wedding can put a person into whether it be a close friend’s or a celebrity’s like the rumored one that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will be having in New York City next weekend!

It has been three years since our last very special episode that focused on a film about the X-Men and Twenty years since the film we are discussing released which means it has finally come to this a Very Special Episode celebrating the 20th Anniversary of X-Men: The Last Stand.
This core memory in the bonds of friendship that represents the Say Reporters allows for exploration of the entire X-Men franchise as a whole and the lessons that could have been learned by other franchises out there that seem to have been ignored.
The entire episode culminates in Devon telling a personal story about the three to four hours before he first got to see this film in theaters and how that galvanized a majority of his life choices going forward.
Proving that X-Men: The Last Stand despite its flaws and rightfully warranted criticisms from the fanbase can still teach everyone a lesson or two about not only entertainment… but themselves. -
This week’s episode has us taking a look at the world around us and taking stock of how things have changed in our lifetimes and what that may mean for the future.
Then once they’ve shared the titular sobering epiphany the Say Reporters talk about the video games they have been playing to from Devon and his time with “The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales“ to Sejohn finally going back and cleaning up his playthrough of “Batman: Arkham Origins and the duo’s future plans for to put “Double Dragon Neon’s” 14 year old online co-op mode to the test. -
Devon shares his experience on the planet Eternia and the stomach virus he caught while visiting as Sejohn opens up about his exploration into the ever growing acceptance of Slop content on the internet.
They both let some negativity flow from them as they admit their feelings about the current state of the world but are able to reel it in by the end with a discussion about their wins with video games and the things that were able to focus on that helped joy shine through. -

The Team does their best to recount the frankly insane plot and then examine why this is another checkmark in the loss column for Tom Arnold and attempt to discern a pattern as to why this seemed to keep happening to him thirty years ago. -
After a brief reminders about the cursed knowledge Devon possesses about the film “Say Anything.” He and Sejohn jump into a lengthy recap of everything unrelated to Brendan Fraser that they occupied their time with during May of 2026.
This includes but is not limited to The Mandalorian and Grogu, Pop-Tarts, Mina the Hollower, Season Finales of Television, the definition of the word genre, the best action figure for the new Masters of the Universe film, and of course somehow Brendan Fraser returns…

We venture deep into The Forest of this film and eventually make it out the other side to find a deeper appreciation for the Brendan’s abilities as an actor as he takes on one of his scariest roles yet.
We also do our best to figure out the message the film is trying to send with its ethereal fantasy storytelling and what we can do to be better after having experienced this parable. -
In this very special episode we continue our celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the American Pie franchise with a deep dive into the fifth installment… The Naked Mile.
We find a lot more depth in this film and also find a way to better understand the Stiflers that came before we were introduced to distant cousins Erik and Dwight and what their characters might ultimately mean for the series as a whole, but mostly we use to college sex romp as an excuse to reminisce about our own crazy shared collegiate party experiences. -
This past week Devon gazed through the smoke and interacted with two $10 games that were Castlevania Adjacent “Saint Slayer: Spear of Sacrilege” and “Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard from Vampire Survivors” and he is ready to discuss.
Then we go on a journey discussing what it means to be an adult by reminiscing about our fast food follies from our youth and then discussing retail practices that somehow make Walmart and Target the lesser of two evils when compared against large corporations and their quest for infinite profit growth.
Finally we share our theme and schedule for Brendan Fraser History Month 2026 so the listen can properly prepare for May’s content. -

In this latest episode of the Say Report we start off with Devon admitting to his failure to complete any of the games he had planned to conquer over this past week while Sejohn talks about his own time with Raccoin and how he compares it against similar games in the genre he has spent time with.
Then we try to transition to a discussion about The Super Mario Galaxy Movie but get distracted by the current state of cinema and pause for a brief moment to discuss Disney potentially cancelling the last two Avatar films and why that makes sense from a monetary perspective and also to discuss our thoughts about how successful Avengers: Doomsday will be.
Eventually we begin our discussion about the second animated Super Mario film and share why we know it worked for us while also attempting to figure out why it has inspired such an outcry of disappointment from others.
Finally we leave things with a dessert helping of television with a brief update on Best Medicine and our plans for watching the Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair revival

Sticking with the topic of gaming we take a quick glance at the indie titles Devon found himself playing with roguelite coin pusher “Raccoin” and the action exploration “Little Nemo and the Guardians of Slumberland”
Finally we share our plans for handling the Super Mario Galaxy Movie on the heels of a brief discussion about 2015’s Hitman: Agent 47 -
This episode starts with a heavy examination of the updated Nintendo Switch 2 edition of Super Mario Bros. Wonder based on Devon’s hands on experience. We focus on the changes from the original release and a few opinions on the multiplayer games that make up the bulk of the release.
Not to be outdone by Devon’s gaming experiences Sejohn shares his own continuing saga with Pat’s Parabox and Dice A Million.
