  • Known as an integral player in the establishment of natural wines in the country, Lee Campbell is an ardent supporter of sustainable vine-farming and traditional, low-intervention winemaking. Raised in the New Yorks Hudson Valley, they earned an undergraduate degree in American Government at the University of Virginia. However, she soon recognized that they were better off at the dining table than on Capitol Hill. Lees life-altering turning point came at the venerable Restaurant Nora in Washington DC, which opened their eyes to the ways in which food and its sourcing could beand must bepolitical.

After several years working in some of Washingtons and Manhattans top culinary and wine institutions, she moved to Brooklyn, where she became a norm-breaking wine director for the Tarlow Restaurant Group. Later, as co-creator of The Big Glou and co-organizer of the first Wild World Austin, Lee became a player in the establishment of Americas natural wine fair circuit.

Having become a certified sommelier many moons ago, as well as stacking up a gang of experience in nearly every aspect of the wine and hospitality fields, Lee continues to work for various clients as a wine consultant, including Early Mountain Vineyards in Madison, Virginia. Additionally, she is now part of the partnership team at Common Wealth Crush: a winery, custom crush facility, and incubator, located in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.

Lance, a Virginia native and a 2011 graduate of the University of Virginia, is an accomplished actor and a connoisseur of the grape. Double majoring in acting and studio art with a focus in cinematography, Lance brings a creative flair to the world of wine. Alongside his acting pursuits, he holds a WSET Level 2 Certification, underscoring his deep understanding of the nuances in the vast world of wine.

In 2020, Lance showcased his entrepreneurial spirit by opening RichWine RVA, an online local delivery service. His return to Richmond began a new chapter, where he immersed himself in the local wine scene. Lance further enriched his wine journey by opening Penny's Wine Shop in Jackson Ward, Richmond, Virginia, in February 2023.
Working alongside winemakers and brothers Ben Jordan and Tim Jordan at their family farm in Shenandoah, Lance honed his craft. Additionally, he served as a Cellar Assistant at Early Mountain Vineyards in Madison County.

A true advocate for Virginia wine, Lance proudly holds a title of Virginia Wine Ambassador with The Virginia Wine Marketing office. Further demonstrating his commitment to the craft, Lance is making his first wine in collaboration with Reggie Leonard at Common Wealth Crush. They are the first to be part of this exciting inaugural incubator program. Their wine is titled The Parallax Project, which focuses on exploring the juxtaposition between the traditional Vitis Vinifera Grape and the new wave of grape growing in Virginia with Hybrids.  Lance's journey in wine is about appreciation and active participation, making his mark on the industry from vine to bottle.

  • VinBohme (pronounced vin bo-HEM) is owned and operated by two Black women from Washington, DC and Philadelphia, PA. The concept of Vin represents our love of good wine and Bohme describes the easeful lifestyle that we all deserve. We offer select wines and items that make for a warm and inviting home. Our business is based in Washington, D.C.

Roberta (the interior designer of the owners) and Monique (the certified Sommelier) came up with this idea during the social distancing phase of the global pandemic. We spent a lot of time nesting and creating cozy spaces since we were spending much more time at home. We also invested in new wines and shared them with each other virtually to create a sense of connection. Once the world opened up, we enjoyed sharing these experiences in person and expanded the notion by hosting small dinners where wed exchange and enjoy wine. It gave us a satisfying sense of connectedness and gratitude. We decided from there that we wanted to help create this experience for others.
