  • In the last instalment in this series of Things I Told My Daughter, we ended it on a high as I had the pleasure of sitting down and talking with the hilarious and vivacious lady that is Shirley Ballas along with her very honest and funny mother Audrey. I can see very clearly where Shirley gets her extravagant personality from.

Shirley is currently holding the reigns as head judge on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. We spoke all about her early beginnings on the dance floor to how she strutted her way onto Strictly.

I had an absolute blast at Audrey's beautiful home in Liverpool, laughing and listening to two incredible women.

  • n this episode of Things I Told My Daughter, I had the opportunity to sit down and talk to the inspirational and beautiful lady that is Deborah James and her 'crazy and creative' daughter Eloise.

Sun Online columnist Deborah is a stage 4 bowel cancer patient, having been diagnosed with the disease two-and-a-half years ago at the age of just 35. The mum-of-two is the powerful voice behind the Twitter/Instagram account Bowel Babe, and the author of her book F*** You Cancer: How to face the big C, live your life and still be yourself.

I had a wonderful time chatting to this hilarious pair and can’t wait for you to listen in on our time together.

  • In this episode of Things I Told My Daughter, I visited the beautiful home of my dear friend Kimberley Walsh to have a chat over tea with both Kimberley and her mum Diane.

We talked about everything from her childhood beginnings up north in Bradford to the moment a certain Louis Walsh came knocking at their door - a moment that changed the course of Kimberley’s life.

  • In this week's episode of Things I Told My Daughter, I sit down with Faye and Dorothy Tozer.

As a real West End Wendy, this episode was a dream come true. I sat down for a chat in the Apollo theatre dressing room of Steps member and West End performer, Faye Tozer and her mum Dorothy.

Faye has had a fascinating rise to fame, from her early beginnings performing in a small Danish summer camp, to storming the charts of the 90s British dance-pop scene.

And Dorothy, what a beautiful and strong woman she is. From talking to her, it was easy to see where Faye got her resilience and character from.

  • This week's episode of Things I Told My Daughter, I sit down with Kirsty and Lesley Gallacher.

In this latest episode of Things I Told My Daughter, I find myself strolling through Windsor Great Park, on my way to speak with a guest who grew up a stone's throw away.

Kirsty Gallacher is one of sports most loved personalities and recently left Sky Sports after 20 years on the channel.

Kirsty's mum Lesley is also no stranger to the public eye, having raised three kids with Kirsty’s dad, the golfing legend Bernard Gallacher.

I could not wait to share this lovely conversation between myself and two women who have so much love and pride for one another.

  • In this week's episode of Things I Told My Daughter, I sit down with Edith and Eleanor Bowman.

This week I made my way to Kenwood House in Hampstead. This Georgian gem sits on the edge of the famous Heath in North London, close to where my guest lives and spends time with her family.

It is home to a beautiful art collection, steeped in culture and hugely respected and cared for. Perfectly matching the nation’s feelings towards Broadcaster and Writer Edith Bowman.

Her mum Eleanor is just the sweetest and holds some amazing stories of her own and I was so delighted to learn more about what and who shaped Edith in to the powerhouse woman of radio she is today!

  • In this week's episode of Things I Told My Daughter, I sit down with Bianca and Sheryl Gascoigne.

I got a real glimpse into the personal lives of two women whom have led their lives in the public eye and stolen our hearts with their bubbly personalities on reality TV. Both mum and daughter have fought hard to be fairly represented and respected by the media. And after meeting with them, I can tell you, that they are strong, fiercely independent women who are not to be pushed around lightly.

I had a wonderful time speaking with Bianca and Sheryl and I know you will find this conversation as insightful as I did.

Vicky Pattison lived the high life during her days on Geordie Shore, but ended up in the courtroom. From her lowest points she has turned her fortunes around to become one of the nations most beloved celebrities. I’m Lisa Snowdon and every week in Fabulous Magazine we talk to our most-loved female celebrities, whether it’s about fashion, beauty or more personal matters. Now I’m going one step further with this series of intimate and tell-all conversations.

Our families are the people that make us who we are, for better or worse, and in this show I’ve been lucky enough to talk to the mums and daughters about the relationships behind their fame.
