Chamonix is famous as a ski destination, but on this trip we visited during early summer. It was an active week-long trip full of hiking, biking and climbing, and turned out to be one of our favourite Europe trips of all time!
We stayed in the nearby village of Servoz, away from the more crowded centre of Chamonix, rented a car, and explored on foot, bike and via ferrata. We share the full itinerary in this voice note.

2026 was our first time properly stopping in Split, even though we've visited Croatia before. We had just stepped off a three-day sailing trip, spent a few quiet, magical days unwinding on the island of Šolta, and then found ourselves with one final night in the city before an early flight home.
Read our guide to spending 24 hours in Split here, and check out our Split Instagram reel for the visual version.

Many travellers told us that India is magical, but also overwhelming and crazy at times. Zooming rickshaws, traffic noise, heavy crowds and packed trains. Not sure we were ready for the intense, heady-side of India, we researched the south to find a “soft India” trip for our first foray into this beautiful and chaotic country.
We decided on Kerala.
This south Indian state known for being one of the cleanest and safest states, and with 100% literacy rates locals are proud of. We visited Kerala in November and spent two weeks exploring Kerala’s crumbling colonial cities, tranquil backwaters, verdant tea plantations and scorching beaches.
Check out our 2-week itinerary for the perfect Kerala trip and everything you need to know before you go.

Piran is a picturesque town on Slovenia’s Adriatic coast. Often overlooked by travellers heading to Lake Bled, this little coastal town doesn’t always make it onto Slovenia itineraries — but it absolutely should.

Taghazout is Morocco’s serene fishing village turned surf haven and co-working hotspot. It’s laid-back vibe, sandy beaches and digital nomad-friendly accommodations make this hidden gem perfect for those seeking a balance of work, adventure and relaxation.
Taghazout was easily our favourite part of Morocco from our first trip in 2017 and we were amazed at how different but the same things are in 2025 and 2026!
Read our Taghazout Travel Guide and check out our Instagram stories of the village.

Šolta island is the closest Croatian island to Split, and easily reached by public ferry in about an hour. Yet Šolta sees just a tiny fraction of visitors compared to Hvar, despite being closer and more accessible. If you have heard of Hvar and never of Šolta, this post is for you.
We based ourselves in Maslinica, a postcard-perfect harbour town on Šolta, and stayed long enough to fall into the slow tempo of the island. In this episode, I share what Šolta is like.

We headed to Ibiza during the off-season to experience the ‘other side’ of the island. Walking, biking, beaching and swimming were our main activities each day, and Ibiza is a beautiful spot for all of those. If you’ve ever wondered what 'the other side' of Ibiza is like, this one's for you.
We mention a delish pizza place we can't remember the name of and a few other things. All the details on our blog - https://charlieontravel.com/ibiza

Carvoeiro in Portugal’s Algarve region is a beach town with easy access to hiking, kayaking and day trips 🏖️ Whilst Carvoeiro was once a fishing village, it’s now very much a resort town. The town remains picturesque, nestled between dramatic cliffs and with the shimmering Atlantic Ocean extending as far as the eye can see. The town is beautifully white-washed though inside town you’ll find a plethora of Superbock branded bars, burger joints, and more Brits abroad than Portuguese locals. That said, we found the holidaymakers here to be a friendly mix of families, couples, retirees and only the odd stag/hen.

In this voice note, I have a real hidden gem to share with you 💎
Burgau is a beautiful beach town in the Algarve region of Portugal. In an area renowned for its resorts and high levels of tourism in the summer, Burgau really gave me that 'ahhh' feeling when I arrived. I was in love: a soft sand beach, sea as flat as a pancake, winding cobbled streets, white-painted fisherman's cottages with blue shutters and a just a few good restaurants. At just an hour's drive from Faro airport, it's a short and sweet trip for UK travellers and the perfect beach village getaway.
