Childhood trauma survivor | Mental health journey | Faith and healing | Real life story In this powerful real life story, I sat down with a sister who bravely shared her heart-breaking journey as a childhood trauma survivor. She spoke about being taken from her mother at just four years old by her uncle, growing up believing his wife was her real mother, and enduring deep and lasting abuse throughout her childhood. She opened up about her mental health journey, including being sectioned multiple times and spending long periods in mental health units. With honesty and pain, she explained how and why both of her children were taken away, and how her marriage ended as she was her husband’s second wife.She also shared her experience of police brutality and the lasting trauma it caused. Throughout everything, she spoke about faith and healing, and how staying close to Allah SWT helped guide her back onto the right path.
