  • "Could you kill someone with horse tranquilizer?" --March 23, 1993. Haylei Jordan is 8 when her mom asks her if she wants to leave everything behind. The little girl doesn't realize that her mother has just cut off her ankle monitor and wants to take her daughter on the run. March 18, 2002. Almost a decade later, Haylei is faced with another terrible decision after years of turbulence and uncertainty: she has to protect her mother even if it means calling the cops on her for what she has just confessed to her.

  • “Mama, don’t leave me here” --On May 12th, 2003, 13-year-old Tyler Edmonds walks into the police station in Starkville, Mississippi with his mother, but as soon as he arrives, cops separate mother and son, and bring Tyler to an interrogation room, alone. He doesn’t know this yet, but his own big sister has named him as the murderer of her husband, Joey Fulgham. Alone, confused, and scared, Tyler is bullied into making a false confession, leading to a life sentence without parole in one of the most notorious prisons in the United States, now, the young teen has to fight for his freedom and make sure the real killer pays for their crimes.

  • “Could you untie me please?” --It’s the early hours of June 7th, 1995. Detective Bill Lindsey is carefully taking pictures of a crime scene with two dead bodies, 34-year-old Mary Phillips, and her 11-year-old daughter Lacey.   • “Why did you lie to me?” --January 15th, 1974, 15-year-old Charlie Otero is dropped off at school by his dad just as every other day, but only a few hours later, he would come home to unimaginable horror: his family was the first target of the BTK killer. With no evidence on who did this, nightmares follow Charlie as he fears for his own safety, while the BTK attacks more and more people. It would take 30 years to finally catch him, after taunting the police repeatedly, where Charlie would finally be able to confront his family’s killer face to face and get his revenge.

  • “I can't die – I have to save my girls” --At 11:05 AM, on the 31st of January 2004, a 911 operator answered the phone to a woman breathing heavily, but not saying anything. Another call comes through, and this time an address is given, but when the police arrive at the scene, they only find an empty handgun case, sweatpants, and a large red stain on the carpet. With time running out, and just a few clues, the police need to catch who did this and find Teri Jendusa-Nicolai and her 2 daughters before it’s too late. Teri Jendusa-Nicolai is an advocate for Marsy’s Law for Wisconsin, which passed in 2020, giving equal rights to victims of serious crimes.

  • "Is he going to kill us?" --On the early morning of December 4th, 1997, 10 year old Amber Daniels is standing in the middle of a dirt road, barefoot, in her pyjamas, faced with an impossible choice: run away on her own from the man who kidnapped her, or stay with him to try and save her sisters.   • “Mommy told me bad guys killed my daddy” --April 6th, 2010, 5 YO Patrick Morrissey wakes up in the middle of the night. He sees his parents being pushed inside his bedroom by a gunman.     It’s March 20, 2011, and a disturbing video entitled “Don’t hurt me mommy” is uploaded to YouTube, showing young mother Christine Belford with her 3 children in the street, being secretly filmed. 4 years earlier, in September of 2007, Christine frantically called the Newcastle police department, telling them her 3 daughters had been kidnapped. What had started in 2007 was a plan of revenge against Christine and her daughters that would end up escalating for over 8 years, ultimately becoming known as one of America’s worst cases of cyberstalking.
