En effet, la tristesse qui est bonne aux yeux de Dieu produit un changement d’attitude qui conduit au salut et qu’on ne regrette pas. La tristesse du monde, elle, produit la mort.
For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There’s no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death. -
Pourquoi me décourager, pourquoi me plaindre de ma vie? Il vaut mieux compter sur Dieu! Oui, je vais encore le remercier, lui, mon sauveur et mon Dieu.
Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God! -
Et ce que je demande dans mes prières, c'est que votre amour augmente de plus en plus en connaissance et en pleine intelligence, pour le discernement des choses les meilleures, afin que vous soyez purs et irréprochables pour le jour de Christ.
And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ. -
La religion pure et sans tache, devant Dieu notre Père, consiste à visiter les orphelins et les veuves dans leurs afflictions, et à se préserver des souillures du monde.
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. -
Que personne ne te méprise pour ton jeune âge, mais efforce-toi d’être un modèle pour les croyants par tes paroles, ta conduite, ton amour, ta foi et ta pureté.
Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity. -
