Our psychologist Ciara Downes who works with children and young people chats with Ellie. In this episode, we hear from Ellie about her experience of trauma following a life threatening health complication and hospitalisation. Ellie describes what symptoms she noticed in the aftermath of this experience, and how it impacted her life and relationships. Ellie also discusses what helped her to cope. We hope that listening to this episode will help other young people and their families who have gone through a similar experience, or professionals who may be supporting young people after traumatic events.
