One of the most profound new experiences I had during the pandemic was Breathwork. Little was I expecting that after 20 minutes of doing a style of breathwork for the first time that I would drop into a trance-like state and experienced the most amazing and profound breakthroughs in my life. I experienced a deep sense of ecstasy and love, like I had within me an explosion of serotonin.
And I also got clarity about my purpose on a much deeper level.
What was so amazing about it was that there was no drugs involved, no external substances what-so-ever. It all just came from within, from just my breath. What exactly just happened to me?
Carla Aspesberger, our guest this episode, is a Soma Breath facilitator, yoga instructor, and also a nomad. Carla takes us deep into understanding the power of breathwork beyond just the physical level of the breath and the psychological level and into the spiritual level as well. She shares how we can better gain clarity and tap into our truth and purpose, while unlearning certain conditionings and negative habits we've learned from just living in our modern everyday life.
As someone who has been practicing and teaching breathwork for so many years, Carla has a really deep wealth of wisdom that she had accumulated from her fascinating journey to share in this episode that can help you awaken to your own purpose.

Before I introduce to you our guest this episode, let share some context. In my family, my dad, my aunt, my uncle, and possibly my grandfather, all died from a fatal hereditary disease called Amyloidosis. As with many genetically hereditary diseases, I too had a 50/50 chance of having this disease. And for many years, I really hesitated to get tested to see if I myself had it.
Since there was no cure, I thought what was the point? Would it change the way I live? Would it make me cherish and make the most of life more? Or would it lead me down a downward spiral? Who knows?
Then one day after some nudging from love ones, I finally got the test. And that was how I knew our guest this episode Claire Egan. Claire was the genetic counselor who counseled me before the test to make sure I understood the implications of the results. And she was the one to deliver the news after. After I anxiously waited for weeks for the results, I finally got the news from Claire that my test came back negative. Meaning that I did not carry the fatal gene. And wow, that was such a relief.
But then it also got me thinking. Since genes have a 50/50 chance of passing down, for every good news Claire shares, there's someone else receiving devastating news. So how does someone like Claire tell such news? And how does someone do that on daily basis too? And why? What's her motivation for doing such deeply heavy yet very important work?
Listen to this fascinating episode to find out how Claire found her purpose in her work as a genetics counselor, and hear her advice on how you can find your purpose so you too can become a work in purpose.---

Like many of us, our guest, Carlos Ceballos, felt like he didn't have an obvious purpose. He had a typical office job his entire life.
But then 2020 changed everything.
Covid made his job insecured. To make things worse, the wildfire ravaging across California forced him and his family to evacuate their home. Needless to say, Carlos' life was full of uncertainty, but it was through this uncertainty when Carlos finally gained clarity about his life's purpose.
From one surreptitious moment to another, Carlos somehow reconnected with his indigenous roots in Colombia and connected with an isolated indigenous community of 50,000 people who live in the mountains of Colombia called the Ikü.
Through the teachings of the Ikü's, Carlos developed a passion about their deep wisdom about connecting with nature, understanding of human psychology and spirituality, and their way of life.
Now Carlos is on a mission to help conserve and promote the Ikü culture and wisdom, by creating a mini series documentary about the Ikü as well as starting a business to introduce Ikü's unique coffee to the world.
Listen to this episode to hear Carlo's journey of how he finally discovered his purpose, the fascinating story of how he actually ended up connecting with the Ikü community, and the wisdom they have to share for us living in "modern" society.

Our guest this episode, Manda Gannon, is a sound bath healer. She uses the power of sound to help people get into a meditative state and make it possible for them to surrender and unblock whatever is holding them back, like limiting beliefs, in their subconsciousness.

But what about our energy's connection? Listen as we talked about what is energy? What are chakras? what are vibrations and frequencies? And how do they affect our everyday life?
Manda also shares lots of practical advice and actions we can do to boost our energy and vibrations.
