This week we kick off the month of October with a review of one of OUR favorite Halloween movies of all time, 2007's "Trick 'r' Treat"
This was actually a direct to DVD movie but gained a cult following after its release. It came back to and made its way in to theaters in 2022 and saw a year by year increase in popularity.

This week we're back to reviewing classic albums. But we're doing something a little different this week.
We're covering Sonic Youth's 5th album, 1988's "Daydream Nation"
This is an album Jacob had never heard before...nor knew existed. His only relationship to this album was seeing the album art displayed on the Simpson's episode where Homer went to Lalapolooza, lol.
So with that said Jacob had a week to see if he even liked this or not and Art did MOST of the heavy lifting with the research this week.
This album is widely regarded as one of the greatest albums ever made. Many music critics gave it a perfect score and one magazine even named it the BEST album of the 1980's. I (Jacob speaking) don't know about any of that but Art agrees. So with out further ado ....."Daydream Nation"

This week we bring back a familiar character in the "Art and Jacob Universe. Jesse Ventura. This is his story where he had to defend his reputation and honor against an Iraq War veteran and hero to many...Chris Kyle.
When Chris Kyle wrote his New York Times best selling book "American Sniper" he had a subchapter where he states he punches out a former SEAL who was talking negatively about the Iraq War and that the SEALS 'deserved to lose men'. Kyle then went on a media tour where he revealed that this former SEAL was Jesse Ventura....
Problem was this turned out not to be true and Jesse Ventura sued Kyle for defamation and Undue Enrichment due to Kyle's fabricated story.
Kyle would be murdered in the middle of the life of this case and the lawsuit was then transferred to his estate.
However, the media would spin this as Ventura suing Kyle's grieving wife. But the jury would side with Ventura as it came out that Kyle's Publisher's insurance would cover the lawsuit .
However the damage was done (temporarily) as Ventura was seen as a bully and treasonous by many in the military and conservative America...only to be redeemed years later as many of Chris Kyle's claims in his book would prove to be false.

But this week we have an interesting story about CEO, Erin Valenti, who went missing after heading west to California to attend a few self help seminars. She was found deceased 5 days after her she went MIA . Never diagnosed with any kind of mental or emotional illness, no known drugs found in her system, and no physical harm found upon her body her death was truly bizarre.
But aside from her questionable disappearance and death , the most peculiar part of this story was the last things she said to her family over the phone... "It's all a game, it's a thought experiment, we're in the Matrix."
Was she the victim of foul play? Did she succumb to a sudden onset of mania?? OR did Elon musk double dose her with a red and blue pill and unplugged her from the MATRIX???
