There can sometimes be a slump in views and subscribers during the summer. After working with hundreds of YouTube creators, I’ve noticed this happen consistently year after year across most niches (though not for everyone, because there are some channels that grow during the summer).
What should you be doing now to make sure you don’t fall into a summer slump or take advantage of this slower time? In this episode, I’m sharing with you the three things you should be doing this summer to make sure that come fall (the BEST time for Youtube, by the way), you’ll be primed and ready to go for maximum growth.

When it comes to YouTube… why do it if you’re not making money off it? My goal is to help my listeners and my students grow their channels and grow their audience so that they can monetize and maintain their channel.
The fastest road to burnout is not making any money from it. It’s difficult to sustain a YouTube channel if there’s no ROI on all your hard work! A lot of my focus is helping my students, clients, and listeners achieve this.

This week I had Megan from the Portable Professional on the show! She’s a travel tips & hacks YouTuber (not a vlogger!). In this interview, we talk a lot about monetizing for a channel under 100k subscribers. In 2022, she was able to make $100k off her channel.
One of the things that I found really insightful in valuable was how she negotiates with brands. She says she is “ruthless,” and she goes into detail about her high standards when it comes to negotiating with brands. She is so meticulous with her monetization strategy, and it’s really paying off!
