Carrie Jackson is a performance and mental training expert, a Certified Mental Performance Consultant, and the author of On Top of Your Game: Mental Skills to Maximize Your Athletic Performance. She’s one of the world’s foremost authorities on the mental and emotional challenges of recovering from injury. She co-authored the book Rebound: Train Your Mind to Bounce Back Stronger from Sports Injuries, and is the co-host of the widely regarded podcast The Injured Athletes Club.
With a bachelor’s in psychology, a masters in sport psychology, and over 2 decades of experience in sport and performance psychology, Carrie’s thought leadership on mental training is the gold standard in the athletic world. Cindy Kuzma is a Chicago-based journalist with a specialty in sports, fitness, and health. Her work has appeared in Runner’s World, SELF, The New York Times, Women’s Running, Chicago Magazine, and many other print and online publications. In addition to Rebound, she’s the co-author (with Neely Spence Gracey) of Breakthrough Women’s Running: Dream Big and Train Smart. She’s completed 23 marathons and also likes to lift heavy things or fumble awkwardly through yoga classes every once in a while. She studied journalism at Baylor University and has a master’s degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, along with additional coursework in anatomy, physiology, and biology. Mario Fraioli is a Bay Area-based running coach who works with everyday age-groupers and world-class elites that compete across a wide range of distances and disciplines. He has guided athletes to personal bests, FKTs, Boston Marathon qualifying times, national championship titles, Olympic Trials appearances, Marathon Majors age-group wins, international podiums, world championship teams, national records, and the Olympic Games.
In addition to coaching, he publishes the morning shakeout, a weekly email newsletter that covers running and other worthwhile topics, and also hosts its namesake podcast, where he gleans insight and inspiration from the sport’s top athletes, coaches, and personalities. From 2010-2016, Mario was the senior editor at Competitor magazine, where he interviewed and profiled many of running’s most recognizable figures, covered hundreds of events, including the Boston Marathon, New York City Marathon and U.S. Olympic Trials on multiple occasions, and directed training-related content for both the print magazine and website. His work has also appeared in Outside, ESPN, Running Times, New England Runner, Triathlete, and other publications. In 2013, he authored his first book, The Official Rock ‘n’ Roll Guide To Marathon & Half-Marathon Training.
As an athlete, Mario was an NCAA Division II All-American in cross-country at Stonehill College in 2003 and has raced competitively from the 800 meters to ultramarathon distances. He has personal bests of 4:09 for the mile, 2:27 in the marathon, and 7:59 for 50 miles. Nowadays he competes for the West Valley Track Club as one of the top Masters (40+) athletes in the country.

STACY T. SIMS, MSC, PHD, is a forward-thinking international exercise physiologist and nutrition scientist who aims to revolutionize exercise nutrition and performance for women.
She has directed research programs at Stanford, AUT University, and the University of Waikato, focusing on female athlete health and performance and pushing the dogma to improve research on all women.
With the unique opportunities Silicon Valley has to offer, during her tenure at Stanford, she had the opportunity to translate earlier research into consumer products and a science-based layperson's book (ROAR) written to explain sex differences in training and nutrition across the lifespan. Both the consumer products and the book challenged the existing dogma for women in exercise, nutrition, and health. This paradigm shift is the focus of her famous "Women Are Not Small Men” TEDx talk.
Her contributions to the international research environment and the sports nutrition industry have established a new niche in sports nutrition and established her reputation as the expert in sex differences in training, nutrition, and health.
Stacy currently holds a Senior Research Associate position with SPRINZ- AUT University, supervises PhD students, writes academic papers, and is on the advisory board of some cutting-edge companies, including Tonal Strength Institute, WILD.AI, and EXOS. She also has her own business (www.drstacysims.com), creating and delivering online learning material focused on women training with their physiology across the lifespan.
She currently resides at the beach in Mt. Maunganui, New Zealand, with her husband and young daughter.

Leah has been a practicing PT over a decade which is also when she began here running career. Prior to that she was a competitive swimmer starting at the age of 8 and retired her senior year of college. During her career she was a D1 All-American and competed at the Olympic Trials. Leah’s athletic career was anything but linear and she faced many hardships which originally lead her to a career in physical therapy. However, after starting her running journey, it was clear she had an unhealthy relationship with athletics. Her mission is to help runners reach their potential in a healthy manner by treating the person, not just the runner. And help them understand that running adds value to our lives but it is not what makes us valuable.
Winnie Lizardo is a physical therapist, certified strength and conditioning specialist, and certified run coach. Once a 2-sport DIII athlete (soccer & basketball), Winnie has always loved sports, exercise, and movement. After a short stint as a HS teacher, Winnie left the classroom to attend NYU where she became a Doctor of Physical Therapy. She has worked with athletes of all levels and most orthopedic conditions. After having 2 kids, Winnie found the running community and has shifted her focus to helping peripartum athletes elevate their fitness while caring for tiny humans. Her favorite strength training includes lifting her kids as weights and her favorite distance is the half marathon!

Stevie Lyn Smith is a Registered Dietitian who’s mission is to help educate and coach athletes on how to fuel their goals while not sacrificing their health and happiness. She received her B.S. in Dietetics and Nutrition from SUNY Buffalo State University and M.S. in Applied Nutrition with a Sports and Fitness concentration from Northeastern University.
As a board certified specialist in sports nutrition, Stevie Lyn has helped hundreds of athletes and active individuals fuel to improve their performance, energy levels, and recovery without feelings of guilt or restriction. Drawing from her experiences growing up as a team-sport athlete to completing ten full ironman distance triathlons and countless other endurance and ultra distance races, she knows firsthand how important nutrition is to be a healthy athlete.

Kylee is the founder and owner of her sports nutrition business Flynutrition, which helps runners, triathletes, cyclists, and skiers to learn not only the ‘why’ but the ‘how’ behind fueling for performance. ----------------------------------------------Justin Andreas, is a proud trail and ultra runner who has completed many races all over the country to include four 100 milers. His love for the outdoors and running started at a very young age, but once he discovered trail running in 2018 there was no looking back. There is something special with being in nature, cruising on the trails, and crushing some vert! After completing multiple races he decide he wanted to help other adventurers crush their goals as well. In 2022 he became a UESCA trail and ultra running coach. He has helped many athletes discover their true potential and crush races from 5K to 100 miles.
Beyond his coaching and hobby life, Justin is an active duty Air Force Firefighter, husband of 16 years, dog dad, and certified nerd. He is currently stationed in Alaska and resides in the North Pole.
