Welcome to the sixth and final episode of spring 2023 edition of Climbing the Mountain, presented by Encova Insurance.
We welcome tight ends coach Blaine Stewart (0:12), who discusses his return to Morgantown and following in his father’s footsteps. Blaine also looks back on the spring season and recaps the Gold-Blue Spring Game.
Wide receiver Cortez Braham and cornerback Montre Miller (6:23) join us for the second segment. The pair of high school teammates talk about reuniting at the collegiate level, and what the spring season did to enhance their individual skillsets leading into the 2023 season.
We then close out the episode with safety Marcis Floyd and running back Jahiem White (12:34). Marcis discusses his growth during his second season in Morgantown, while Jahiem talks about joining an already deep running back room. -
Welcome to the fifth episode of spring 2023 edition of Climbing the Mountain, presented by Encova Insurance. We welcome defensive coordinator Jordan Lesley (0:12), who breaks down the growth throughout spring practice on the defensive side of the ball.
Running back Justin Johnson and defensive lineman Sean Martin (8:39) join us for the second segment. Justin talks about the running back room and his personal goals for 2023, while Sean discusses becoming the leading figure along the defensive line.
We then close out the fourth episode with defensive back Jacolby Spells and offensive lineman Brandon Yates (14:47). Jacolby discusses his growth from freshman to sophomore year, while Brandon talks about position changes as he has now been taking reps at guard and center. -

Running back CJ Donaldson and tight end Kole Taylor (6:53) join us for the second segment. CJ talks about his return from injury, while Kole discusses his transfer from LSU and a viral moment that he had during the 2020 season.
We then close out the fourth episode with offensive lineman Ja'Quay Hubbard and running back Tony Mathis (14:19). Ja'Quay discusses his position changes throughout the years and how he is currently settling in, while Tony talks about the depth of the running back room. -

We switch over to the defensive side of the ball this week and first chat with defensive line coach Andrew Jackson (00:12), who discusses replacing Dante Stills and the consistency his position room needs to have in 2023.
Linebacker Lee Kpogba and defensive back Malachi Ruffin (6:39) then joined the program to discuss Malachi's growth and Lee becoming a leader in his final season.
We then close out the third episode with linebacker Jared Bartlett and defensive back Aubrey Burks (14:33), who update us on the progression during the third week of spring practice. -

West Virginia returns its starting offensive line this season, and our first guest is offensive line coach Matt Moore (00:12), who discusses what his position group needs to improve on throughout the spring.
Offensive lineman Zach Frazier and Tomas Rimac (8:05) then joined the program to discuss Tomas' growth throughout the past season, as well as what Zach is using his Name, Image and Likeness earnings for.
We then close out the second episode with offensive tackles Doug Nester and Wyatt Milum (14:33). Doug discusses his upcoming wedding and moving to the tackle position, while Wyatt is working on refining techniques throughout the spring.

West Virginia football starts spring practice this week and our first guest is coach Neal Brown (00:12), who discusses what needs were addressed during the offseason, the quarterback battle, CJ Donaldson and Name, Image and Likeness.
Quarterbacks Garrett Greene and Nicco Marchiol (11:04) then joined the program to talk about the competitive, yet healthy position battle they are having against one another, as well as what they have been working on during the offseason to better themselves.
We then close out the first episode with wide receiver Devin Carter and running back CJ Donaldson (19:09). The duo discusses being leaders despite being relatively new to the program, while CJ talks about what it is going to take for him to be healthy going into 2023.

The West Virginia baseball season is in full swing and today the Mountaineers continue their road trip with a visit to Maryland.
